That day Steve And Natasha took Lucy to Coney Island ..
Since once Natasha told her that she always wanted to go there..

Since then She was in touch with Steve .. He used to face time her everyday.. Even came to meet when he can..

they were madly in love..
And everyone in hospital and in Avengers knew that..

And Honestly Lucy was worried about her feelings.. She knew she had less time..
She knew she won't be able to live long with Steve..

Steve was already broken after losing Peggy.. She didn't want herself to be another reason of his heartbreak..

Her chain of thoughts were broken by  Dr. Smith..

" Hey!! Doc. " She smiled.

" This new drug is not working on your system.. " He said sadly.... Melancholy made the air heavy..

Lucy smiled sadly..

" So.. How many days do I have?? " She asked

" 6 months.. " He said

" Okay.. " Lucy smiled at him..

As soon as he left.. She broke down..
She was extremely sad.. It's not that this is new.. She knew it way before..
She knew that she will die sooner than most other people..she was okay with that....But this time she wanted to live longer.. She had a reason to live..

It was the movie night.. And the movie for the night was " Five Feet Apart "
The story which deals with two teen cystic fibrosis patient who fell in love with each other..

Everyone was watching the movie with utmost concentration.. But Steve.. He was some other world..
This movie made him think about her.. his very own Lucy..
He knew she that she will die soon.. But he couldn't care any less about that.. He will have to go through a bad heartbreak.. Again.. But he couldn't help himself from falling in love with her..
So much like this movie.. He thought
A small smile made it's way on his face..

" You are soooooooo in love old man.." Tony scoffed.

" Wh.. What? Me? No.. " Steve said shaking his head vigorously..

" Yes.. You are.. " Bucky smiled at him..

" Well if the Ex- playboys are saying this.. That means it's true.. " Nat said stuffing her mouth with popcorn..

" Come on guys.. " Steve said trying to sound cool.. But he failed miserably

Nat, Bucky, Tony were looking at him with a " Tell the truth" Look..

" Okay.. I do like her.. I do.. " Steve said looking every but them . .

Bucky was about to tell something when Steve interrupted as if he knew what Bucky wanted to say

" I know I am approaching a heartbreak.. But I just stop.. " Steve scoffed sadly..

" She likes you too.. " Nat smiled at him

" How do you know? " Steve asked with a small smile

" That glow in her usually dull face when she talks about you tells me everything . " Nat smirked..

" So deep.. " Tony mumbled

" Shut up Tony.. " Everyone said in unison

...............

Next morning...

" Why are you transferring yourself?? " Nat asked angrily

" This drug trial is not working on me" Lucy said

" Okay.. But that doesn't mean that you will leave!! " Nat exclaimed

" I want to go out of this place.. Some where else. " Lucy said holding up her tears..

" Why?? " Nat asked holding her hand

" I don't to want to die in front of Steve.. He doesn't deserve that.. " Lucy broke down and hugged Natasha tightly..

Steve was totally confused.. He had no idea what went wrong.. It's been two month since Lucy stopped every contact with Steve..

He went to the hospital ... But the receptionist said that she don't want any visitors..

" I don't know what's wrong! She isn't talking to me either.." Natasha said casually .. She couldn't tell him that she was more in that hospital..

That day in the evening.. Nat forget her phone on the table..  Steve was sitting beside only.. At that mean time a msg popped up.

It was from Lucy..

" You're flying down tomorrow  right??? Come fast I can't wait to meet you "

" What is this Nat?? " Steve stormed in her room and shoved her phone..

" She asked not to tell you.. " Nat said looking down..

" Where is she?? " Steve asked

Lucy was watching a film on her laptop..
Her health issues went downhill massively ..  It was just matter of a month or half ..when she will have to good bye to this dear planet..

Her eyes went up to the door when she heard door slam open..

" Gotcha.. " Steve said with blank face

" How.. Did you find me?? " Lucy asked raising her eyebrow.

" Why did you leave me? " Steve asked

" You shouldn't be here. " Lucy mumbled

" I am exactly where I should be.. " Steve said and cupped her fragile face

" I missed you.. " He whispered and kissed her forehead.. Lucy closed her eyes at his touch.. She never thought this day will come..

" Please go. " Lucy said and let out a shaky breath

" No.. I am not leaving. " Steve said sternly and held her hand tightly and looked intently at her..

" You will have to.. You will get hurt only. " Lucy choked on her tears. As much as she wanted Steve to be here.. She knew that it will make things worse..

"Nope.. No.. " Steve's voice cracked. He had no intention to leave her like that..

" I don't want you to see me dying.. It will be painful to both of us.. " Lucy cried holding onto his hands.. She said the truth.. She loved him too much to give him that heartbreak..

" Lucy.. " Steve mumbled with a pleading eyes..

" Don't push me away.. " He whispered..

" I will have to.. For your own good " Lucy cried..

Steve was staring at her for a long time.. They didn't say anything.. That wasn't necessary..Silently stared at each other..

" I love you.. " Steve whispered .. His breath was unstable his voice was shaky..

" I love you too.. " Lucy smiled through tears..

They both were crying.. They knew the faith..

" You will have to go.. " Lucy whispered. Steve held her hand even more tightly...

" No.. I don't want to.. " He sobbed.

" You will have to.. For us.. Please.. Go" Lucy said running her hands through his hair..

" Thanks for making me spacial.. All these months will be really memorable.. " She smiled and gave a light peck on his lips..

Steve hugged her tight and touched his forehead with hers..

" Bye.. " He whispered

" Goodbye.. " Lucy smiled faintly..

Steve got up from the stool and untangled his hand from hers and went towards the door..

He turned around to get a last good look on her face..

Lucy smiled with her swollen eyes.. And waved her hands..

Steve smiled at her through his tears and came out of the room....

Some stories are meant to be left incomplete .. That's what makes the story beautiful..
