" It has to be you.. " Stark said ever so casually..

" Why me?? There are so many people to babysit me.. Why only me?? " Sarah whined

" I hate reindeer games.. Steve is just too polite.. Nat is too hot tempered .. Wanda is like him..they both will keep reading each other's mind and nothing else.  Bruce is busy..  Thor and Clint are just not capable.. " Tony explained.. You just rolled your eyes at his explanation..

" Whatever... What will I have to do??" Sarah asked

" Nothing just look out for him.. So that he can't escape.. And yeah.. If he annoys you . . Inform us.. We will beat the shit out of him.. " Tony smiled genuinely at you

" Ohhh calm down irom man.. I don't think that will be needed. " Sarah chuckled..

" Okay we are leaving for a mission.. See yaa.. Take care " Natasha gave you a tight hug..

" Bye.. " Sarah said

Sarah was watching TV when suddenly she thought to have a check on Loki..

Sarah went straight to library.. That's the only place to find Loki.. If not his Bedroom..

Loki sitting on a chair.. His full concentration on the book he was reading..

" Hey! " She said with a small smile

" What? " He said sternly

" Nothing just came to check on you.." Sarah smiled

" Am I a small baby?? " He snarled back

" Well no.. But I have been assigned with a job to babysit you" Sarah said sarcastically..

" Really..??? Well I don't need a babysitter so you can leave me.. " Loki said and pushed her out of the library

Sarah growled out of frustration and went back to her room

Days passed.. But her relation with Loki was still very cold.. He always mocked her someway or the other..
Even though Sarah just wanted to he his friend..
She had no idea why.. But she always wanted to be by his side .. So he can get a shoulder to support..
But he always pushed her aside.. As if she is untouchable..

One day she was making tea when Loki came into the common room..
Earlier that day.. Tony and Loki had and argument.. So she knew that he is not a good mood..

" You want some tea ?? " She asked softly

" No.. " Loki said indulging himself into the book..

" It can reduce your anger.. So was just saying.. " She said while putting the water to boil..

" I just told you no.. Why are you bothering me??? " Loki snapped at you..

He approached her and pinned you between kitchen counter and himself..

" I am a mission for you right?? That's why you are just trying to be friends with me??? I know these tricks you mortal.. So don't act smart.. " Loki hissed.. His face was dangerously close to her..

Sarah was shocked and deeply hurt.. She wanted to his friend.. And he thought...
" No you're not.. I want to he friend since I think you need one.. " Sarah said.. Her lips trembled..

" I know what you want.. You just want all information.. That's all.. Once it's done you will ignore me.. Just like every other person " He growled.. His jaw clenched.. As he more into her...her elbow hit the boiling hot water tub.. And that water burned her hands and saucepan hit the ground..

" Ahhh.. " She screamed out of pain..

She was about to take her onto the basin.. When Loki grabbed her hand

" Loki it's hurting..!! " Sarah choked.. Tears brimming down her eyes ... Loki grip on her hand was getting painfully tight..

" No you're hurting me.. You know what.. A mere mortal like you cannot make me weak.. Can you hear it??? You can't!!!! " Loki growled angrily..

Sarah closed her eyes out of fear..
" I had to intention to make you make.. You're not my mission Loki.. I wanted to be by your side.. Because I know you need a friend.. With whom you can share all your fears .. All your guilt.. " Sarah sobbed.. By now Loki's grip on her hand was loose..

" You know.. Everyone warned me.. That I should not get much close to you.. You can be dangerous.. They didn't ask me to be your friend.. It was my choice.. I thought I can help you.. But I was wrong.. "Sarah chocked on her last words.. And stormed out of the place..

Loki stood there motionless
.. He knew he made a mistake..

Loki locked himself into his room for that day.. That one day was enough for him you to realise that no one except Sarah cared for him..

No one came to check if he needs anything or if he is okay..
Sarah used to check upon every now and then.. And now Loki was missing her Terribly

" I should apologize to her.. " He thought.. Came out of his room..
He heard some sounds of arguments from the common space..
He teleported himself there.. And made himself invisible..

" Sarah.. Is this because of Loki?? " Steve asked her..

" No Cap.. It was my mistake.. The sausepan fell onto my hands.. " Sarah said trying to sound reasonable..

" Your cheeks are flushed.. Eyes red.. Seems like you cried a lot?? Why?? " Asked Tony..

" That burn impact was quite hard.. That just made me cry.. " Sarah said

She had no Loki was there.. Watching all these..

" I don't believe you.. I am it's that Loki.. Tell me.. I will kick his ass.. " Natasha said angrily..

" Trust me guys.. It's not Loki.. It was fault.. He is not that he will make my hand burn.. " Sarah chuckled softly..

Loki felt a stinging pain on his chest..
He never thought he can get this lucky... Sarah could have said the truth.. She didn't.. She saved him.. Even after whatever he did ...

Loki went back to room..
He closed his eyes and let a lone tear escape his eyes..
" I am soo sorry.. I am soo sorry.. So sorry.. " He said repeatedly..

Later that night.. When everyone was sleeping.. Loki sneaked into Sarah's room..

Sarah was sleeping on her bed.. Loki kenlt down on the floor beside her..

Her face was covered with dried tears.. This made even more guilty..

" I am sorry... " He whispered.. He had no intention of ruining her sleep..
