Robot!Kurt

K.U.R.T stands for Kind Ultra Radical Teammate, because I thought that was funny.

***

K.U.R.T was built as nothing more than the experiment of a man who wanted to create a being that was superior to humans. His physical form was meant to be efficient, and practical, while his coding was meant to allow him to feel sympathy, and care for humans. He was supposed to be able to help humans when they needed it, and he was never intended to be used as a weapon.

His creator ended up thinking of him as a son, and he spent a lot of time teaching K.U.R.T how to be a good person, and how to help as many people as he could. However, when the world found out about K.U.R.T, they were afraid of him. They were afraid of how superior he was, and what he could do if wanted to. So they killed K.U.R.T's creator, and they stole him.

K.U.R.T was kept in a lab where he was taken apart and put back together again by people who didn't know what they were doing, and were causing him to glitch often. They even installed weapons into K.U.R.T, hoping to use him to defend themselves from any threats they may face in the future. K.U.R.T didn't like having any weapons, because he wanted to help people, not hurt them. Things reached their breaking point when K.U.R.T glitched one day, and accidently fired one of his weapons, witch malfunctioned, and he ended up killing the people in the lab.

K.U.R.T was then able to escape, but not before he removed the weapons himself. He may have messed up his software even more in the process, but all that he cared about was that the weapons were gone. After removing the weapons, K.U.R.T left the building, but only made it a little ways away before a group of people in matching spandex that he didn't know showed up and surrounded him, looking ready to fight.

"Hel-gtch-lo." K.U.R.T greeted, glitching in the middle of the word. The people all looked at eachother confused, and relaxed a little bit, seeming to no longer think of K.U.R.T as a threat.

"I'm not able to read his mind." A women with red hair said, turning to her friends, looking really confused, and tense.

"He doesn't smell like a person either. He smells...metal." Another man said. He was short, and thickly built, and his voice was deep.

"I don't think he's a real person." Another man said. This one was pretty tall, and thicker than the other man, and he was blue like K.U.R.T, making him think that maybe the man was a robot like him.

K.U.R.T walked up to the man excitedly, excited to meet another robot. He knew that his creator planned on making some more robots, but he never got that far, so K.U.R.T had never seen another robot before. The blue man tensed up, and looked ready to fight, but that did not deter K.U.R.T He glitched and sparked soon after reaching the man, and he looked very confused.

"You're like me." K.U.R.T stated excitedly, reaching out towards the blue man. He flinched lightly when K.U.R.T's hand made contact with his arm, but he didn't attack or anything. K.U.R.T could feel that the man was warm, and that blood was rushing through veins under his skin, meaning he wasn't a robot, and K.U.R.T frowned.

"You're not a - gtch - robot." K.U.R.T said, feeling disappointed.

"No I'm not. Are you a robot?" The blue man asked, now looking more fascinated than scared at that point.

"Yes I am."

"Did you do this?" The short man asked Kurt, gesturing to the destroyed lab behind K.U.R.T, which K.U.R.T didn't turn and look at, instead smiling warmly at Logan, just like he was programmed to do.

"It was an accident. They - gtch - put weapons in me. They went off when I glitched."

"You have weapons?" The man asked, taking a protective stance, and pointing knives that appeared to be coming out of his hands at K.U.R.T.

"Not any - gtch - m - more. I removed them myself. I'm not programmed to be a - gtch - threat."

"What are you programmed for?"

"I am K.U.R.T. I was programmed for frie - gtch - endship. What is your name?" K.U.R.T was smiling down at the man, looking forward to being his friend.

"I'm...Logan." The man, Logan, answered, and K.U.R.T smiled wider at him, before glitching and sparking once again.

"I'm Hank. It looks like you're not doing too good. I could probably fix you up if you wanted to come with us." The blue man said, and he held a hand out for K.U.R.T to take. Hank lead K.U.R.T onto a big jet where he was sat down on a bench.

K.U.R.T looked to his side, and saw that Logan was down the bench from him, so he scooted over, wanting to be closer to his new friend. Logan seemed a bit nervous about K.U.R.T's apparent fondness for him, but he didn't say anything about it. K.U.R.T sat quietly next to Logan for the whole plane ride, continuing to glitch and spark occasionally during the ride.

When the plane landed, Hank began to lead K.U.R.T down into another lab. K.U.R.T trusted Hank to help him instead of hurt him like the other scientists did, but when he looked behind him and saw that Logan was going the complete opposite direction, he was a little hurt. He wanted his new friend to come with him, and sit with him while Hank fixed his wiring, but he figured he couldn't really control Logan, so it was ok.

"I'll have you fixed up in no time." Hank assured K.U.R.T, sitting him down on a metal table, and getting out some stuff that would let him fix K.U.R.T. "Do you have pain receptors?"

"No." K.U.R.T let Hank guide him until he was laying down on the table, and begin to mess with him in order to fix his wiring so he would stop glitching. "Can I see - gtch - Logan when your done?"

"Uh, yeah sure." Hank took his time fixing K.U.R.T up, and when he was done, K.U.R.T was allowed to wander around the mansion as he pleased, and the first thing he did was go looking for Logan, and he found him in regular clothes, sitting on a couch and while watching TV while scrolling through his phone.

K.U.R.T sat next to Logan on the couch, and smiled warmly at him when Logan looked up. K.U.R.T couldn't help but notice that Logan had a nice looking face. He had the stubbly beginnings of a beard, a chiseled jaw, and beautiful brown eyes. K.U.R.T's creator had given him the ability to feel and experience almost every emotion that humans could feel, meaning he most definitely felt attracted to Logan.

"Are you...feeling better?" Logan asked K.U.R.T, not really knowing how to interact with K.U.R.T.

"Yes I am." K.U.R.T assured, no longer glitching at all.

"I'm happy for you." Logan smiled slightly at K.U.R.T, making the robot smile wider.
