I know this story isn't the best but I'm projecting hardcore onto Kurt with this little story and it just feels nice to do that sometimes.

Kurt was hopelessly in love with his best friend. Kurt and Logan had been best friends since sixth grade, when Kurt moved to New York, and Kurt and Logan had been introduced to each other by another friend. It was in his junior year in high school that Kurt realised that he was completely, and utterly in love with Logan. But how could he not be?

Logan was kind, and he cared about Kurt. He could be bold, and brash, but he always treated Kurt so well. He calmly informed Kurt when he was doing something that upset him so that Kurt could work on it instead of just getting mad at Kurt. And whenever Kurt was having a hard time, Logan was always there to help him feel better, but was also always patient with Kurt. Kurt knew that he was in love with Logan, at least a little bit, but then Kurt and Logan had a sleepover with their friend Scott one weekend, and Kurt realised that he was more in love with Logan than he thought. 

All Kurt wanted to do was roll over and hold Logan closely to him. He wanted to cuddle Logan while he slept, and he wanted the man to cuddle him back. All he could think about was how the only thing he wanted was to be even closer to Logan than he already was, and he wanted to kiss Logan softly, and be the man's boyfriend. Then Logan would shift, and his leg would press against Kurt's, or he would move closer to Kurt, and Kurt had to resist the urge to cuddle closer to Logan and bury his face in the crook of the man's neck, relaxed to sleep by the man's familiar scent. Kurt had it bad. 

Kurt felt like he was suffering. Whenever Logan was around, all Kurt could think about was how much he loved the man, and he felt like it was the only thing in the world he wanted. Kurt had never really thought of himself as one who would get married. He didn't see himself having a wedding, or moving in with someone to live together, or having kids, but Logan was someone Kurt could see himself spending the rest of his life with. Kurt could picture a wedding with Logan, he could picture a life with Logan, and it was something he desperately wanted. 

Kurt just didn't know how to tell Logan. He knew Logan would be understanding, and if Logan didn't like him back, he wouldn't be mean to Kurt, or treat him bad. He would let Kurt down easy, and they would continue to be best friends, but Kurt just didn't know how he would handle that rejection. Kurt loved Logan, so he would respect Logan's wishes because he wanted him to be happy, but that didn't mean that it would be easy for Kurt. 

But Kurt knew that he had to be honest with Logan. He owed his best friend that much. 

"Logan? Can I talk to you about something?" Kurt asked nervously, wringing his hands together and flicking his tail nervously. 

"Yeah. What is it?" Logan asked, giving Kurt his attention as he munched on his pizza for lunch. 

"I... I'm in love with you." Kurt said, but he hurriedly reached out and placed a reassuring hand on Logan's arm. "It's ok if you don't feel the same way, and I'm not telling you in an effort to pressure you into dating me, I just thought that you deserved to know."

"Kurt it's ok, I'm not upset." Logan assured with a kind smile, placing his hand over top of Kurt's. Then Logan leaned forward and placed a soft, gentle, loving kiss on Kurt's cheek. 

Kurt blushed profusely, but couldn't stop the grin that spread across his face. Kurt moved his hand from Logan's arm to hold his hand, and he was really, really happy. Kurt purred loudly as he and Logan finished eating their lunches, and then went to their separate classes. Kurt was dating the man he loved, and he couldn't stop himself from purring the entire rest of the day.
