Chapter 18 : Duck.

Virgil, Remus, Janus and Remy were at the park, in the sandpit, now a little bit older, seven years old. How time flew by.

Roman was there too with his friends, Kai, Elliott and Draco. They were playing Dragon Witch, but Romans eyes kept trailing to Virgil, smiling and admiring the boy.

"Oh look! Duckies!" Janus smiled, pointing to the pond of ducks.

Remus watched, "you ever think about jumping in?" He asked.

"Papa said you could drown." Virgil responded, almost nonchalantly.

"That sounds fun!" Laughed Remus, a wide gap in the front of his teeth, as he had recently lost one.

Remy pulled down his large sunglasses and moved closer, but Virgil stopped, "careful."

Janus moved closed to Remus who blushed ever so slightly and smiled, as they all watched the duck waddle up to the surface.

Remus smiled, "wonder what it tastes like?"

Janus frowned, Remy rolled his eyes and Virgil made a concerned dad noise.

"Remus, you're weird..."

Remus pouted, making an offended Duke noise, "I am not..."

Janus kisses his cheek, "I think your pretty cool!"

Remus blushed and glared at a smug looking Virgil.

Remy held out his hand and the duck nuzzled into his hand, relaxing in content.

"I can't believe they're all seven..." Patton said, a small yet sad smile on his face.

Logan held him close by the waist, "I know.... it feels like just yesterday we adopted Virgil."

"Now he's all grown up..."

Emile frowned, "not exactly-"

"Yes exactly Emile!" Patton cried, making Emile hold his hands up in surrender.

Remy ran over to Emile, "Dad! Dad! Dad!"

Emile smiled and noticed the duck that was following from behind, "yes?"

"I made a new friend! He's called Ducky!"

"That's very nice." Emile smiled.

"Can we keep him?" Remy asked, his eyes wide and a small pout already on his face, telling his father that if he said no, it'd break his little heart.

And it worked, Emile groaned inwardly, "of course."

"Yay!" He picked the duck up and ran off to the small groups, "guys we have a duck!"

The boys all cheered out as well.

Emile sighed as Logan and Patton smirked, "not a word..."
