Chapter 1 : Child
So Patton wanted kids, he always has. However, he knew his husband, Logan, wasn't a parent man, Logan was more of a introvert and kids usually avoided him.
But Patton still wanted a child.
Patton walked up the smooth, cool gray tone carpet, his hand trailing against the white painted, wooden oak banister and past the solid white background that had an assortment of baby blue framed photographs of him and Logan together.
He arrived at the top of the stairs and walked passed the oak doors to the one at the very end, near the bathroom.
Hesitantly, he knocked five times, creating a tune much like Anna to Elsa in frozen, a force of habit he now had.
"Come in." Called an almost robotic voice from inside.
Patton opened the door, making a slight scraping noise on the floor, "Logan? Can we talk?"
Logan stopped typing on his PC computer immediately, and swivelled in his black swivel seat, "yes Patton?"
Patton sat on the black armchair that held one dark blue pillow and twisted his hands together, "right... Logan..."
Patton found his stomach churning and his heart dropping as he looked to the dark blue painted walls and the many shelves that where drilled into the wall, with an infinite amount of books. The green houseplants here and there giving the room more life, the black curtains that hung in front of the window, the few picture on the walls, the lamp, the pens. Patton was looking at anything and everything but Logan and it seemed Logan picked up on that.
"Patton, what's wrong?" Logan gently took his husbands warm and clammy hand.
"I want a child!" He blurted out, mentally cursing himself for not being subtle and then scolded himself for swearing.
Logan went pale, it wasn't that he didn't want a family with Patton it's just, "kids don't like me."
"Well, that's because they don't see the fun and family side of you." Patton said, trying to make it seem like a positive thing.
"I'm not fun, I'm quite emotionless."
"This is coming from the man who cried when I said yes at our wedding." Patton pointed out, not able to stop his eyes from rolling.
Logan sighed, running a hand through his tamed hair, now messing it up, "what if they don't like me?"
"Why wouldn't they?"
"Because I'm not exactly the best 'dad', am I?" Logan responded.
"We don't know that, do we?" Said Patton, taking the mans hand, "but I'm sure you'll be amazing... Just think about it, for me?"
Logan didn't really need to think about it if he was honest he knew the answer, "so are we getting a boy or a girl?"
Patton's face lit up, "a boy!"
