Evanna stared up ahead and she was not too happy with what she saw at all. "This is a fucking Casino Logan." She says and Logan rolled his eyes. At The moment he really didn't want to hear her complaining. But Evanna hates Casinos. Bad memories came back every time she came near a casino.

"Just get out of the fucking car, or I'm dragging you inside," Logan growled as he took Charles in his arms. Evanna said a string of cuss words and Laura chuckled as she got out dragging her bag with her. Laura came out last and she followed closely next to Evanna. Evan didn't mind at all. 

"So this is where we're hiding now?" Charles asked and Evan kneeled down to him.

"We're not hiding. We're trying to keep you safe Charles. She says and he just sighs. He really didn't want these guys chasing them all around the world. Because to him, that's what it felt like. But he also hated feeling useless. At the moment, he is slight.

"We'll get a couple of hours sleep...Clean up, get some new clothes, get a new ride to get out of here." Logan says passing Evan and pushing Charles ahead. Laura moved in front of a glass case with two mannequins holding hands. Evan looked down at her and she knew she wanted a family. Logan wasn't just going to do that right away. It's going to take him a while. So Evan grabbed her hand and held it. Laura was freaked out by the sudden action.

She looked down and then up at Evanna. Evan smiled at her softly and Laura smiled. "Come on. Let's go get a room and watch some TV." Evan says and Laura was pulled along with Evan. They went into the elevator and Laura was curious and began pressing buttons.

"No. Stop that. These are not to be played with." Logan scowled the girl and Anna sighed. He really was showing her how he can take care of kids.

"She was wondering what they are Logan. She hasn't been outside of that prison before." Logan glared at her and she glared right back. "I'm glad we didn't have kids." She said and Charles gasped and looked at her. She never faltered her glare away from the new pissed of Logan.

The elevator dinged and Evan picked Laura up and snatched the key from Logan. Laura never had anyone pick her up like that except Gabriela. So it was strange for her to be picked up by her own mother. Logan glared at the back of Evans' head and she was not happy with him. One moment everything was fine until he decides to be a prick of an old man.

Evan opened the door and Laura looked around. Evan sighed and looked at her. She smiled once she saw Laura staring at the TV. She put her down and she walked around the room. Evan dropped her bag and turned to see Logan trying to get Charles in the room. "Oh for fuck's sake." She mumbled and grabbed the front of the wheelchair. "Why the hell do they make small doorways?" She asks and yanked him in. Logan scoffed and put Charles near the bed.

Logan walked off once he placed him there. Laura got on the bed next to him and Evan turned the TV on. As soon as she did Laura watched it with intensity.

"We just need the room for changing. Don't get too cozy." Logan says ruining the movie by talking. Evan looked at him and he nods his head towards the bathroom. She rolled her eye's knowing very well what this was going to end up like. She walked in with him and the sound of a click was heard. She turned and saw Logan staring at her. "Did you mean that?" He asked and Anna sighed. She didn't want to hurt him but she has two kids she found out about. Plus from what she saw the last two days, he wasn't nice to their child at all.

"Yeah. I meant that." She says crossing her arms across her chest and leaned on the counter behind her. Logan clenched his jaw and she could see the insults about to spit out soon. That was Logan for you. The Bully and the Hero. Strange right?

"Why?" He asks and Anna sighed.

"Because of how you're treating our daughter now." Logan looked pissed the minute she said, a daughter.

"She is NOT our daughter," Logan said and Evan looked up at him with a shocked look. She scoffed and shook her head laughing a little. Who the hell was he to just push her out of his life, like she never existed? Well, she does. Laura is their DNA. Their blood in one.

"Ya, you know what?" Logan watched her face grow angry. "You're right. she's not your daughter, she mine. SO get the fuck over it and try to fucking be nice to her." She stepped closer to him. "Because if you say another rude thing or even yell at her for some stupid shit, I will not be happy." She pushed him out of her way and opened the door. He followed and grabbed her arm. Anna growled and shoved him into a wall. He watched her. He may have grown older but she hasn't. Her older age is what makes her more powerful than him.

"Just let me explain." He says and she glared. Evan thought about it. Even though she was angry he wanted to tell her why he was being an ass to her. Logan wasn't one who was good with kids. He never even raised her.

"Why should I let you?" She asks and he sighs. Anna was right, he didn't deserve a reason after the way he acted. But to Logan, he doesn't know this girl. She could have been made to drag them to a trap or kill him. Laura, in his eyes, was a stranger blood related or not.

"Because I have the right to say my piece. Whether you like it or not. We have both different views about... our...daughter." He says trying not to strain himself. Evanna sighed and pulled him back in the bathroom. She could hear Charles and Laura out there. Evan waited for him to say his reason. Logan sighed and then began. "Evan. Hell, I want kids too. I wanted them with you for so long. But I never wanted a kid who was made in a damn lab. I didn't raise her. I don't know how to act with kids." Evan knew he had a point. "For all I know Evan, she could be here to kill us. To get rid of us."

"If that were true then there wouldn't be guys trying to capture her. That Woman died to protect her."

"Exactly!" He grabbed Evans' shoulders and looked deep into her big blue eye's. "Anna, I don't want to lose you to any of this." He genuinely looks scared. Evan looked down at the ground. He pulled her face up and smiled at her. "I love you and I don't want this kid getting into your heart only to hurt you." He sighed and pushed her hair out of her face. "Hell to us, she's a stranger, she may have our blood babe, but we didn't raise her. We know nothing about her." He finished and now she knew why he was so much of prissy pants.

"Okay, I see your point." He sighed feeling better she understood. "But Logan," He looked up at her. Evan grabbed his face in her small hands. "I want to know her. I want her Logan. she's just like you." She smiled softly and he knew she wasn't going to give up. "We're going to help her, and then we're going to know her along the way. Then you can tell me that you were right at the end of this." Logan wasn't happy about this but this is Evan. She raised a bunch of misfits back then.

"Okay." He says and Evan smiled brightly. She jumped in his arms and he caught her trying not to drop her. "Now. Do I get a kiss or something for doing all of this?" He asked doing his signature smirk. Evan smirked and placed a soft and sweet kiss on his lips. Logan missed this. Maybe this girl was going to be good, who knows. But he knew something wasn't going to be right.

      Evan and Logan get out of the bathroom and see Laura and Charles still watching the movie. Evan smiled and Logan whispered, "I have to get a new car. Can you watch them?" He asks and placed a kiss on her shoulder. Evan shivered and turned to him. 

"Yeah. I got them." he nods his head and grabbed his jacket and the keys. "Be careful. Alright?" She says and he smiled.

"Well. No promises." She glared playfully at him and he chuckled. "I'll be fine. Just stay safe. If anything happens. You know what to do." He kissed her head and opened the door. Laura watched as he left the room. She looked up at Evan and she smiled. Her mother was beautiful. She knew that much. Charles smiled brightly at Laura.

"You get your looks from her." He whispers and she smiled even brighter. Evan sighed and turned to face them. "Come watch with us. Nothing bad is going to happen to him or us. Just relax." He says and somehow she knew that wasn't true. But she wanted it to be. So she shrugged and sat on the bed with them.

It was peaceful. She liked it. She loved it when Laura laid on her stomach and fell asleep watching the movie. Evan knew she was meant to protect this child of hers the moment she walked in the door. Or should she say trunk? She chuckled and watched waiting for Logan to come back safely.
