Chapter 0.

War was loud. It was never quiet. Never had been. Even as the years passed, war never changed. Maybe in alternate universes, it began to be more advanced with the weapons. The people and the places.

Mutants have been that tiny detail added to war. But it still never changed. The sounds, the feeling, the blood never changed.

The sounds of the bullet cases clanking to the ground and the sound they made when they ricocheted into the air. The swords clash against one another, making a small spark. A spark that meant I will be the fire you burn, too, and the boots that hit the ground as bombs and debris fly through the air. The ground shakes, and you fight, not for yourself but for those around you. Your family. Your beliefs and your rights.

Warriors cry when they fight for their lives, letting the enemy know that they aren't going down without a fight. But the smell of the air smelled of metal and lead. The blood circulated into the wind, giving that horrible smell that will never leave your nose once you take a whiff.

The worst of all of it is when the people you have gotten to know and became a family with, they just simply die right in front of you. The horrible faces mixed with pain and horror. That never leaves a mans mind. Some even just disappear without a trace.

Evanna knew that all too well. She was forced to fight battles that normal people couldn't fight. She aged differently than most mutants. It was in her genes that made her who she was.

Her parents were afraid of her because of this. They threw her out once they realized what she could do. She was caught by the government and used as a weapon. This was in the 1700s.

The government had given everything they had to make her not want to kill them. In exchange for food, shelter, and acceptance, she had to fight for the country they were willing to build and make free. She agreed, knowing she could change the country now known as the U.S. She helped shape the freedom we have today.

She was strong. Nothing anyone has ever seen. Not since ancient times. Not since Egypt had created a god. They called him the first Mutant. The first God to ever bleed like a man and show himself to others down on earth. They made prophecies about Mutants ruling the world.

But it was all gone once he was defeated by a group of mutants a while back. Evanna had no part in it, but she made sure everyone in the U.S. was safe and away from danger.

She was powerful, and most people were scared of her. Evanna was fast, agile, and quiet. She was the perfect Mutant to have for a war. She was a warrior. She was a deadly weapon. Used only when the government says so.

To most, she was just a myth, but when she was in Arizona trying to get something done for money, she came across a man named Charles. He was young and had a brother named Eric. They were making a school for the gifted. It's what they called it. She agreed to help, and Evanna had become a part of the X-man. She was no longer just a myth. She was a legend, and legends never do die.

A few years had passed, and they had fought a bunch of evil men trying to kill Humans or Mutants. Eric went rogue, and a man named Logan had joined for a short amount of time.

It wasn't until the year 2003 that Evanna met Logan again. Only this time, it was a long time ago. Logan and Evanna didn't talk to one another.

When Jean had died, Evanna hadn't come out of her room for a whole month. Charles made Logan go in and check on her. If it wasn't her telepathic powers, she would have killed Logan on the spot.

Logan hadn't ever seen her really because he was blinded by Jean. Blinded by a woman who stood in front of the light of another person. But when he saw this woman in the window seat staring outside holding onto Jean's blanket, he knew she was different.

But Evanna didn't care about him. No matter how hard he tried. It took a long time for them to actually acknowledge each other, but they had molded a small friendship as the years passed.

When the X-Men were splitting up, Evanna told Charles she needed to find her way in the world again. Find herself. Rethink a few things. He let her go, and Logan was upset his friend had left.

While she was away, she was taken by a group of mean people who had kidnapped her and made her have a child. The man was named William Striker. Her memories were then erased and gone from existence.

Evanna found her way back to Charles and Logan in the year of 2009. They gladly accepted her back, except Charles found something deep in her head, and he was shocked. But he then knew that one day Logan was going to change. So was Evanna. They both were going to change, and everything was never going to be the same ever again.

Now, the year is 2026, and Evanna, Charles, Logan, and Caliban had been in hiding. But everything changes once a girl has come along. She changed Logan and Evanna for the better.

Feelings will resurface. Trust will be tested, and family will not be just a word to the older Mutants. Will Evanna learn of her newfound secrets she never even knew, along with Logan? Or will she die trying to find out the truth that had been buried for years?
