Chapter Twenty-Eight : The Epic Fight (2/2)
The beast's head was smashed left and right, his arms and legs shot by fire and ice and rocks, and his tail swung in the air in pain as his large bat wings stretched open.
"Hunter!" Lewis called, bringing the thick wooden vines to sprout out of the floor and grab the beast. "Do you need the beast or do you need to eliminate it entirely?" He cried.
"This beast was once a man!" Red landed another blow at the snout. "And that mixture of spirits turned him into a damn beast! But the king still needs him!" Red groaned as he lifted his hammer for another throw.
"Then we need to take out that spirit first so we can eliminate that monstrous form!" Lewis cried.
"I tried that! But he was too powerful!" Red smashed, and the beast let out a high pitched screech.
The beast managed to swing his arm at the man. But before the claws could meet the man's body, Lewis suddenly poofed out of existence, leaving behind what seemed to be green-squared shape dust to float on the spot he disappeared.
"What the fu--" Red was interrupted by a tail that batted the side of his abdomen, sending his body to fly towards the wall and crash into it like before. And his hammer flew the other direction. "Omf!"
"Lewis! We need to find a way to sedate him! Because this isn't going to help when he's moving around!" One of the men, the one that threw fireballs, cried.
"Maybe we could knock him out cold?!" Lewis cried, now have re-appeared in another green poof.
"We can't do that! His skull is much stronger and he's moving erraticlly!" The fire man spoke again.
"We can try to let him fall!" Another man spoke. "Since this place is made of silver, let's bring him down so his flesh touches the floor, maybe that way he'll pass out from the pain!" He added his quick explanation.
"And we can hold him down at the same time!" Another one spoke.
"Great thinking!" Lewis said. "Victor, Edward and Jake! Try to pull the beast's head towards you! Nardo, Maron and I will pull the legs towards us!" Lewis ordered.
"And Jerry, you distract the beast in any way you can!" Lewis added quickly.
"Right away!" A white-haired man said with a quick smirk before he summoned a pair of wings, made of shards of ice shaped like feathers, and took off into the air.
"Hey ugly face!" The flying man called, and fortunately, the beast turned to him immediately.
"Have you been eating lately? Cause your disgusting skin is hugging your skeleton!" He cried and blew his tongue at the beast, which caused the beast to growl and snarl at him.
And with that, the beast roared at him and tried to attack him, all while the rest of the men took out their own silver chains and tossed them at the limbs as Lewis told them. The first trio tossed theirs, and they landed around the beast's throat, while the second trio threw theirs around the narrowed legs and pulled.
The monster's neck and legs smoked and sizzled more as he tried to reach for the man and bite him, the silver's touch was almost burning his flesh away, but still, the monster wasn't moved by their chains.
"Come on! Just fall already!" The fire man grunted as he tugged as hard as he could.
"Well that's it! I had enough being thrown by you!" Red jumped from his fallen position with shaking arms and stomped towards the threat.
His raven hair that was held back had now loosened and unfolded towards his thighs. "Take this you big piece of evil shit!" Red took out his own chain and readied it, aiming at the head.
Red then lassoed at the snout, which caught it and forced it to a close. Now the beast muffled in intense pain and tried to resist Red's pull.
As for the flying man with wings of ice, he sought the chance and summoned large blades of ice and threw them at the beast's winged back.
As the icy blades tore through the wings' membranes, they burned away the rest of the membranes with the coldness of the ice. Now all that was left were skeletal bat wings.
With all that pain, the beast began to tremble, and his limbs began to weaken.
"Almost there! Keep pulling!" Lewis cried.
The men all grunted as they made another effort to pull, and then, as if time slowed, the beast's enormous body was pulled by the gravity. It finally obeyed with a fall that gave the earth one final quake and a heavy thud. And the beast wasn't so pleased about it.
Before anyone could speak or move, Lewis quickly raised his arms in the air, and giant wooden roots burst out of the floor and wrapped themselves around the beast's fallen body, tightening and holding on to him with a firm grip.
Now, the threat had finally ceased to move but remained conscious.
"Now stay right there and don't you ever fucking move!" Red pointed his finger. Eyes widened in rage at the beast that laid before him.
"Easy big guy, no need to yell, he's held... For now." The white-haired man descended to the floor and exhaled.
Red had a moment to sigh and breathe as the men gathered around, gasping and exhaling as some of them sat on the floor and laid down.
"It's over?" A voice called.
Red turned to the exit and saw the shadow Fearian, staring at them with wide eyes.
"Not yet, Fearian." Lewis breathed.
"Grevalon, do you know these men?" Red pointed at them as he locked eyes on Fearian.
"Of course I do, don't you?" Fearian glided towards them. "Also, are you guys okay?" He asked them.
"We're fine... I guess, thanks for asking." The fire man rubbed his neck as he looked at the beast's smoking form.
"State yourselves and explain your arrival." Red squinted his eyes at the seven men.
Lewis and his men hesitated for a second.
"We're the Seven Lords of Mashillia, also known as The Seven, and we have been alreted that dark forces were roaming in your kingdom, so we came to help," A young man with a purple coat said with a nervous smile.
"Alerted by who and how did you come here?" Red asked again.
"We weren't told exactly but we sensed it so... Yeah we're like a replacement for the Guardians and we have their powers that helps us sense and feel if there was any magical dangers occurring in certain places," The white hair said.
"And we've been travelling for two days on horseback until we arrived just now," Lewis continued the answer.
"Allow me to introduce myself and my group, I'm Lord Lewis Valcony and this is my brother Lord Maron Valcony." Lewis gestured to himself then at the man with the red coat, who drew a nervous smile and waved.
"This is Victor the orange, Edward the yellow, Jerry with the white hair, Jake with Merman ears and finally Nardo, the purple one." Maron pointed at them as they each waved and smiled.
Red only blinked.
"So you're a bunch of royals who have the powers of the Guardians who come in to save the day?" Red put his hands on his hips.
"Yup, that's what we do," Jerry, the white-haired man and the one who threw ice blades, spoke.
"We thank you for the help and appreciate your arrival, I'm glad you made it here guys." Fearian let out a light laugh.
"We would like to say welcome, but again, we're not done yet." Lewis turned serious as he looked at the beast, who laid there staring at them with his sizzling head and snout.
"There are only a few things left to do to finally end it," Lewis added.
"Yeah I told you before, I tried it myself but it didn't work," Red said.
"But the beast is now held in place, so try the procedure again and maybe this time it'll work," Maron told him.
Red didn't hesitate but took out a gem from his pocket and showed it to the Seven.
"What's that?" Fearian asked.
"This was a tool that helped me exorcise the spirits, now it's shattered and broken due to this damn mess, so what do you suggest we do mister Lord Lewis Valcony?" Red squinted his eyes more.
Lewis's eyes narrowed as he exchanged concerned looks with his men.
"I'm afraid there is one way, but it's difficult to attempt since we don't possess that element," Lewis said.
"Then, what is it?" Fearian asked.
"To get that spirit out, someone needs to enter the beast's mind and find it, once found, the spirit needs to be eliminated once and for all. That way we can do our job of ridding the monstrous form, and the man you speak of will return to normal and will no longer be possessed," Lewis explained.
"Well? Which element does it require?" Red asked.
"Moon magic... But then your king got hurt so, shadow magic needs to be used," Maron said.
And that's where all men laid their eyes on Fearian, who stood there with his red eyes widening in sudden realisation.
"No..." Fearian shrunk back in size.
