Chapter Twenty-Eight : The Epic Fight (1/2)

In his large new form, the beast tossed his curled hand at Salvador, and Salvador rolled to the side as fast as he could. The slender fist smacked the silver floor instead and shook the earth again. The beast let out another high pitched roar.

Fearian spread his shadow arms open and summoned his shadowy tentacles, and then he threw his arms up in the air as if he lifted something from the ground in great force. The tentacles charged towards the beast's hands and legs and wrapped his joints tightly. The beast tried to wave his arms and legs aggressively.

Fearian grunted as he tried his best to hold him down. Meanwhile, Salvador created a big silvery orb with both hands, then he threw it at the beast, and this orb dissolved into multiple sharp shards of metal that stabbed the beast's chest and abdomen. However, even when the shards have stabbed through, the beast did not die but rather continued to roar and resist.

"Oh come on! Wasn't that enough?!" Fearian cried as his arms trembled.

Salvador grunted as he summoned more; this time, he summoned long silver chains from the floor and tossed them all at the beast. Fortunately enough, the monster's flesh began to smoke and sizzle, but again, not entirely.

"The silver is still burning him!" Salvador cried. "If only we could hold him down a little longer and figure out how to eliminate him quickly!" He added.

"How are we supposed to do that?! We don't have anything else except for silver that surrounds us!" Fearian replied, now his arms are shaking.

"Maybe I could use my magic to sedate him!" Salvador quickly glanced over at Fearian. "Can you hold him just a little longer?! So I could fly to his head and commit it!" He said.

Fearian hesitated.

"O-Okay! Be quick! Cause my magic isn't going to last any time soon!" Fearian cried as he tried to steady his arms.

Without any more words, Salvador let his silver chains dissolve into nothingness and ran towards the enemy. A second later, he spread his wings open and jumped, rising above the ground and flying high up. All while the enemy struggled to set himself free and Fearian grunting louder.

Salvador had almost reached the domed ceiling and charged at the monster's head with great speed, raising his hands and readying his silver disks like before when he sedated Blarence in the dungeon.

He neared and was about to touch his head--

The beast darted his head towards Salvador and opened his mouth widely and quickly, filled with rows of pointy and sharp teeth, and bit both of Salvador's arms.

"GGRRRAAHH--" Salvador's scream didn't last, for the beast began to shake him left and right with his gruesome bite, like a wild hound shaking its prey before consuming it.

"SALVADOR!" Fearian screamed. And the beast threw the king like a rag doll.

Salvador crashed into the wall with his back, but this time he was knocked out cold due to the strong force. So after the hit, the king fell to the ground.

Yet, Fearian's magic faded from the beast and went for the falling king, catching him by surrounding his body with shades before he hit the ground. Gently laying his body on the floor.

Fearian went to Salvador quickly and knelt.

"Salvador?! Can you hear me?! Salvador! Come on wake up!" Fearian cried.

Salvador's eyes didn't open, his face was now filled with bruises, and blood was slightly oozing from his lips and nose. Fearian looked down at Salvador's arms that bled and flowed heavily from both elbows, creating a small puddle of blood beneath his body.

"I NEED HELP HERE! THE KING IS HURT!" Fearian cried as his breaths shuddered.

The monster roared again as he moved his free limbs and stood on all fours to look at Fearian closely, his red eyes with large straight black pupils squinting at him and his fallen king.

Shit! Fearian thought to himself as he looked back at the beast that now neared his face to them, contorted into extreme anger.

The enemy revealed his teeth covered in blood, the blood that dripped from his snarling lips were Salvador's. Then, he opened his mouth to reveal a small fireball forming inside, ready to be launched at the two men.

Fearian was about to shield Salvador and himself from the attack--

A man let out a battle cry as he came running in front of Fearian, smashing the beast's snout upwards with a powerful hammer. Fearian then realised who it was.

"The gate is open! Take the king to safety now!" Red yelled, not looking behind, and he kept smashing.

"But what about the beast?! You can't handle him on your own--"

"Fearian!" Another voice cried, and Fearian turned in the other direction.

"Dad?!" Fearian cried when he saw his father approaching him, along with Kyvan and other men.

"Thank the Mighty Kings you're safe! Quickly! We don't have much time!" Onel cried.

"But the beast--"

"Don't worry! We've got better reinforcements and they're here to help! Now let's go!" Kyvan cried as he grabbed Salvador's arm and Onel grabbed the other.

Fearian then looked at the men that have arrived with his father, and it took him a moment to realise who they were.

"W-Wait... Lewis? What are you all guys doing here--"

"Fearian, we have no time to talk, let's finish that entity first," The man by the name of Lewis spoke as he went along with Red. Moving his hands in circular motions as green auras swirled quickly around his fingers, shooting the beast with wooden like spears from the floor.

The beast screamed and roared in pain, stepping backwards and quaking the earth with his weight.

Then other men did the same. However, each man used a different element, one used fireballs, the other used rocks and boulders, and another even used ice as spikes to stab the monster.

And the enemy was getting hurt more and more by their attacks, including Red's strength with his hammer. All that happened while Onel and Kyvan held the king on their shoulders and went for the exit, and Fearian followed.

"Dad, let me teleport you to the Healing Temple, it's the fastest way you can reach," Fearian told him, shielding them at the same time from all the projectiles being thrown.

"What about you? Will you come as well?" Onel asked.

"I'm not done yet, I need to get back here as soon as possible so I can help these guys," Fearian said.

"But Fearian, the shades are fading from your body here! You might not last!" Onel protested.

"I know that I have limited time but I can't just leave these men fight on their own! I promise we'll be done with this mess and come back in no time!" Fearian put a shadowy hand on his father's shoulder, squinting his eyes in a plea.

Onel sighed. "Alright, but please be more careful! I've been getting worried sick about you!"

Fearian didn't hesitate but nodded and touched the men, including Salvador, and let the dark shades swarm them. And before Fearian could disappear into thin air, the beast roared louder than before as he laid eyes on the disappearing Fearian.
