Chapter Ten : Stuck Together
His head pulsated in pain like a heartbeat inside his skull when he opened his eyes with his vivid sight as the walls swayed around him, he didn't hear anything else but high-pitched sound ringing within his blocked ears.
The surrounding was all dark and brown until he lifted his heavy head from the ground, once his vision adjusted and became clear, the moonlight above faintly beamed on the Fire Meanian who was sitting on the ground resting his elbows on his knees. His palm was glued to his face and he didn't mind the heavy dust that sat on him entirely.
"Where... " Fearian coughed once he accidentally swallowed the dust that went through his open lips.
The Fire Meanian immediately lifted his eyes and locked on Fearian with a shock that widened his large eyes.
"What the actual hell!" His realisation forced him to jump from the ground and push his back against the wall quickly.
"What... The hell happened? How did I get here?" Fearian managed to stop his coughs and tried to sit, but the pain in his wings pulled him back to the ground again with a grunt.
"How in the name of Fyroness are you still alive?! I cracked your skull open!" The man's loud yelling shook the place slightly.
"What do you expect from a guy who's wearing a red glowing gem that contains immortality?" He hissed in pain.
"What glowing gem?! That's bullshit there's no one else other than Salvador the only one who's immortal!" He cried.
"Not anymore!" Fearian sucked in the dusty air through his closed teeth. "Can you at least help me sit up?!" He added.
"Why the fuck would I help a criminal like you who wants to hurt his own people?! Hell even with that dark magic that you possess you're even more dangerous!" The man roared.
"God damn it will you stop focusing on the past and focus on the fucking present?!" Fearian screamed as he landed his hand on his lower chest.
"Oh, I'm thinking about the past?! What about the guard that you attacked to escape from the damn dungeons?!"
"I'M IN PAIN YOU ASSHOLE SO SHUT YOUR DAMN MOUTH AND FUCKING HELP ME!" Fearian finally screamed louder than before, a louder scream than the giant that stood before him.
To the point he accidentally unleashed a wave of shadows to fly throughout the small space, pushing the Fire Meanian further into the wall he stood against.
Once the wave stopped, Fearian began to grunt and groan as the pain in his entire body intensified, which also stopped the man's yelling.
"Fine! I'll help, shithead," he mumbled the last word before he tried to lift Fearian's broken body gently and laid his broken back on the pile of rocks that fell with them.
"There, happy?" The man stepped back as he crossed his arms.
"Thanks," he blew the air out before he continued.
"Now, first of all, thanks for cracking my skull even though I told you not to yank me from the sky. Secondly, I didn't attack any guard so that statement is wrong, but what's true is that I did escape the dungeons because... " Fearian wheezed and coughed again.
"A Dark Meanian was on his way to murder my family, and why did I escape rather than tell you about this? It's because you didn't believe my damn warning!"
"What warning? I wasn't there during your bye-bye moment." He squinted his eyes. "Now hold up, how in the hell did you learn that a Dark Meanian is coming to kill your family?!"
"I heard multiple dark whispers saying that my dad is gonna die, I warned him but he never listened nor did the men. But when I slept in the dungeon, that Dark Meanian himself visited me in the dream and told me his plan," Fearian explained.
"And you were after that entity because--"
"That entity was a Dark Meanian in disguise... Somehow. Look I would really like to explain in detail but--" His head pounded again as he felt the warm liquid heavily trickle down his neck and hair.
"Err, I need to... Save my dad." He placed his hand on the wound and flinched; the pain was sharp when touched. He pulled the hand and saw his fingers that were now soaked with dark blood.
"Well damn... You really did open my skull... " He kept breathing. "I... I can actually feel some of the shards... In my brain." He let out a faint chuckle.
"I think it's best we find a way out of here, you're literally broken."
"Broken by you... Obviously... " He chuckled again as his vision blurred.
"Grevalon?" The man took a step close.
"I think I'm passing ou--"
"Grevalon!" He cried as he caught Fearian before his body fell with a thud. Then he laid him on the floor gently to avoid breaking any more bones in his body.
"You're really want to help your dad so badly," he mumbled.
Frustrated and panicked from the inside the hunter tried to find multiple ways to climb out of the deep pit with the man he wounded badly, although he knew that the walls were steep with no rock or stone piercing out for him to climb onto.
Even if there were stones, they would easily break due to his horrendous weight.
Great now we're stuck here for who knows how long! He thought as he kicked the wall, which also caused the place to shake for a moment.
That's where he heard something strange coming from the wall that he got pushed into by Fearian's wave, he turned and looked at the slight hole he created and approached it to hear it clearly.
There were soft cracking sounds of stone as the tiny rocks rolled and fell lightly to the ground followed by the floating dust, he noticed the wall was actually cracked and pushed further inside.
He decided to test something out by placing his ear on it and give it a knock, once he did, he heard a faint echo of his knocking behind the wall.
This wall is hollow... The thought baffled him a little but mostly surprised him by the idea that emptiness existed beyond the wall. Maybe there is a way out He thought to himself again.
He didn't hesitate but took a deep breath and exhaled as he focused on his fire ability, he rose his hands and curled them into fists, only for a large object to sizzle into existence within his firmed balled grip.
He summoned a battle hammer within his hands, and he lifted it and landed a throw at the hollow wall as the stone on top shattered and flew into the opening inside.
The earth then quaked repeatedly as the man kept smashing the hollow wall to create a large opening for him to fit through, once he finally finished smashing, he walked into the pitch-black opening and rose his one hand to summon a bright fireball for light.
There were large and thick wooden pillars that held the earthly ceiling above him, and it continued out all the way to the end or the beginning of the path. That's where he realised that he was in a secret tunnel under the kingdom.
"Can this day get any worse or weird?" He sighed.
