Chapter Six : The Encounter (2/2)
"What king?!" Fearian felt a sinister sensation crawl over him, something evil was being planned, but he doesn't know what kind. Yet he knows it's going to be a very dark crime.
"Your king thinks he's dead, but his soul is still roaming the land and recruiting his men every night, and he's ordering us to bring him back from the dead... Salvador won't stand a chance against him," he explained. "and it's our king that wants to retrieve you," he added with a big smirk on his dark face.
"No... " Fearian widened his eyes at him in shock, his realisation kicking in.
"Anyways, since you're trapped, you can wait here in your cell while I'll go say hi to your family. Then I'll come back to take you." His cackles echoed as his body began to drift away like smoke.
"Stop! Come back and tell me why your king needs me?!" Fearian cried angrily and went after him in the darkness.
But instead of an answer, he suddenly fell in the void and landed inside his body that was in the cell.
Fearian snapped his eyes open and gasped as he jumped from his bed, his heart pounded fast that he felt it was about to explode. He looked around to find himself in the dungeons again, and he knew that this wasn't a dream at all, but a bigger warning.
He quickly climbed out of his solid bed and went to the bars and grabbed them with both hands.
"Guards! Guards! Anyone listen to me please! My family are in grave danger!" He called out as loud as he could, he let his yelling echo and bounce off the walls so it could reach outside the dungeon.
He prayed that he could receive a quick response from anyone. A moment later, his prayers were answered when he heard the sound of the gate opening in the distance, followed by heavy quick boots approaching his cell.
"What is it?! Is there something wrong?!" It was the same guard that Fearian spoke to earlier, and his face showed a lot of panic and concern when he heard his call.
"Please I beg of you! I need to speak to King Salvador immediately because I have something important to tell him!" Fearian said desperately.
"Well, what is it?"
"A Dark Meanian is coming to kill my family and they're planning on bringing their leader from the dead! Please save my family this is the least I can ask you to do!" He told him with desperation while the guard looked at him with squinting eyes.
"Wait wait now from where did you get all that? Is that one of your excuses?" He asked him.
"I wasn't dreaming at all when I slept and that Dark Meanian told me himself! You gotta help me please!" He begged as tears slowly built up in his eyes.
"Well, I can't let you out so I'm going to ask the king what to do about you and your 'warnings', if it was fake then I don't know what to do about you," as the guard spoke, Fearian noticed something unsettling about him.
"Come on I thought you were nice when we talked before I cried myself to sleep!" Fearian cried as he kept staring into his eyes, then he discovered why there was something wrong with him.
His eyes were glowing dimly red beneath his helmet. He wasn't going to tell the king nor let him out until his family were finally murdered.
"Again, I'm sorry I can't let you out, so I'm gonna tell the king about this and sort this out," the guard said.
Fearian searched for quick plans on how to escape his cell. He then spotted the ring of keys hanging from the guard's belt, and upon discovering his red eyes, he knew that this guard would never hang the keys on the wall that provided a hook for them. So he thought of an idea.
"But wait what about your opinion about my dad huh?!" Fearian asked as he secretly formed a small hook out of shadows that reached the guard's waist.
"You know what? I didn't mention that he's probably too weak to do it," as he spoke, Fearian moved the hook he created and grabbed the keys without the guard feeling it, then he moved it away.
"Now don't ask any more question cause I'm don't want to be starting a fight with you." He turned his heels and walked away.
"No wait come back! My family are going to die right now!! Come back please!" Fearian cried as he shook the bars with fake struggle and sorrow.
He made this noise to block the keys' jingling and let him walk away and far enough for Fearian to open his gate.
Once the guard left with a slam of the door, Fearian immediately searched for his cell's key and used it. He inserted the key, and the lock clicked, he opened the gate as he looked around before he went out of his cell and tip-toed to the door.
He opened it and went up the spiral staircase made of concrete stone, and he did it as quietly as possible, then he reached the final door which led outside. He opened this door slowly and peeked the surroundings outside to check if Night Meanians were roaming around, once everything was clear he got outside.
Instead of running to reach his family, he decided to teleport using his shadowy magic. It was easier than being spotted, and he wondered whether to be worried about the king's harsher punishment when he finds out about his escape. But his mind shrugged off the thought of angry king Salvador and told him to be more worried about his family's death.

Darvin held Bryan in his arms as he slept soundly after the long hours of weeping, Darvin was sitting and leaning his back on the chair with a lack of emotions. After noticing the time he stood up and went to his only bedroom, Gholt was already on Darvin's bed sleeping, and his fluffy cheeks were wet.
So Darvin put Bryan beside him and covered them both with his thick blanket of animal fur. After that, he left the bedroom and went to his only room, the small kitchen.
He didn't know whether to weep or rage from his father's treatment towards Fearian, they had a fun time that only lasted a day, and now everything fell apart. He knew that Fearian wanted to make his family happy, even though he didn't know it was the wrong way until it was too late to realise.
He was actually on Fearian's side when it came to his father's duty, Onel wasn't always there for them, and he would always arrive late while they were starving. Yet Onel didn't want to admit it nor told the truth as to why he was always late or absent, Darvin thought that maybe this was the cause that let Fearian become a criminal and the trouble-maker.
Onel didn't even teach Fearian the difference between good and bad behaviour properly.
As for Darvin himself, he didn't know his role during their fights, so he tried not to intervene.
He sunk into his chair as he let out his deep shriek of sorrow and his hot steaming tears started to roll down heavily from his cheeks.
As he sat there weeping, he suddenly heard the sound of the window opening. He stopped immediately and looked at the windows around him, only to find that Fearian himself was climbing from one of the windows and into the house.
"F-Fearian?" Darvin asked with surprise.
"Darvin!" Fearian ran towards him and hugged him tightly.
"Thank the Mighty Kings you're--"
Darvin slapped his cheek and put his finger on his lips to shush him.
"The kids are sleeping! But I'm glad you're here!" Darvin whispered loudly and hugged him back.
"And I'm glad you're alive!" Fearian whispered back as he hugged again and tighter, Fearian didn't care about Darvin's hot tears dripping onto his wings and burning it.
"Wait, what do you mean by alive?" Darvin's voice quivered.
