Chapter Nineteen : The Questioning (2/2)
"How is that possible? Your eyes were red and you were serious with your plans!" King Salvador didn't stop his hand from summoning his silver sword.
"They were r-red? I-I-I swear--"
"Will you stop asking us and answer the damn question?!" Red took a heavy and threatening step forward, causing Blarence's body to jump and shrink to a ball.
"I'm telling you! I don't remember what happened! For Shadias's sake I don't remember at all!" His voice shook and sniffled; his sobs were almost drowning his words.
Salvador sighed as he lowered his blade, his eyes landing on the floor as Blarence continued to cry and sniff. As he listened to Blarence's desperate sobs, it tugged a few strings in his heart, some memories reminded him of acts that he should wield, gentle acts that should be used to receive the words he needs.
Salvador lifted his gaze from the floor to the weeping Blarence, after a moment of his cries, Salvador finally spoke. "Alright, since you seem like you're telling the truth about your memory, can you tell me about your body and mind?"
"My body and mind? L-Like what?"
"Have you ever felt like there's something wrong? Like you no longer in control with what you do and what you think?" Salvador knelt.
Blarence slowly stopped his weeping as he hesitated for a few moments.
"I... Think so... " His oceanic eyes wandered around the cell. "Y... Yes, I think I felt some presence within me, I don't know whether it's a spirit or a soul but... There is a presence." His lips quivered.
Salvador's eyes widened a little, he was finally getting to something. "Can you tell me more?"
"I remember... The moment I turned my back to go to the northern tunnel under the kingdom, my body got paralysed in pain, I couldn't even scream... Just... Suffered and fainted," he looked around as if a wizard was watching and listening to him somewhere using magic.
"As I said, I don't remember what I have done or said, but I did feel a presence, a powerful one that ordered against my will to retrieve someone... From here." He took a few breaths as he lowered his head.
"Do you recognise what kind of a powerful presence is in your body? A certain Meanian?" Salvador's tone calmed, which brought Red's gaze to land on his king suspiciously.
"I d-don't exactly recognise it, but I feel like it's maybe a... A king... Maybe... "
The moment he said king, Salvador rose his arm at his guards. "Guards, I need you to check The Silver Room immediately."
Knowing their king spoke in a concerning tone with that command, the guards rushed outside of the cell without questions and hesitation, leaving Red and king Salvador alone with the prisoner. Leaving Red more confused and suspicious.
"Wait a minute, what the hell is the Silver Room?" Red's dark wide brows narrowed more.
"Did he show his appearance, Blarence?" The arm that he rose in the air began to shake.
"N-N-No... Everything was red around me, but I did hear that presence's voice." Blarence's voice began to tremble.
"Was it deep and dark?" Salvador didn't hesitate to ask another question, and his sword was shining the light of the torches at the walls as his arm that held it shook more.
A scream of agony was what answered Salvador, a scream that came out of Blarence as his body began to violently move and shake, his head was waving left and right as if he was trying to shake off something from his head.
Salvador then started to have shuddering breaths afterwards as he watched Blarence scream louder and louder, glowing crimson veins climbed his body and all over his neck and face, turning his once blue eyes to a bloody red. Turning his tears into two strands of black mists flowing at the end of his eyes, then turning his irises white as snow that had their black pupils shrinking to dots.
Red stormed in and shielded his king with his body as Blarence transformed in agony, that transformation that caused the wind to soar within the room and steal the firey lights from the hanging torches. Therefore, the screams stopped when the two men were left in pitch darkness; only the white eyes glowed in the dark, staring at them.
Red didn't hesitate but quickly summoned his fireball and fought the darkness away, suddenly revealing Blarence that now stood straight with the crimson veins and the white irises. Giving the widest grin that exposed his white sharp teeth and dark gums, terrifying Salvador on his spot.
"What the actual hell... " Red murmured in shock as he held the fireballs in the form of fists, ready to punch if there was going to be a sudden charge.
"Well, is that all you can do, silver bug? Capture my kin one by one to question them about my plan? And what do you do with them afterwards?" Blarence's voice was merged with the deep one, forcing a chill to run down the king's spine.
"Execute them, as if that would stop my revival," he chuckled as he took a step closer. "you think you can stop me by murdering my people? I don't think you'll win this time."
Without warning, the torches were lit up again but with red fiery light, now revealing the twins at Blarence's side with the same condition of crimson veins but with black voids as eyes, all grinning at them.
"Stay back!" Red threw a fiery punch at them before they charged.
But the figures parted to avoid the flying fireball that was thrown at them, Red put away his fires and pulled out his silver chain and whipped it in the air.
But before he could throw it at them, Blarence gathered a lot of energy to his palm and shot it at Salvador and Red, causing them to fly through a few walls and create giant holes in the dungeons cells. Forcing the dust to rise and few bricks to collapse from the broken walls.
Blarence turned his head to the twins. "Find Onel Grevalon for me while I kill the bug before I search." He grinned wider.
The twins chuckled and giggled as they vanished into the darkness and left Blarence with king Salvador and his 'bodyguard'.
