Between Devonte and the unfortunate Leah, the HU-SQUAD and a few police officers were searching for Axell by tearing apart the woods with guard dogs.

She could have had the brightest day of her life but helas.

Upon regaining her memories and recalling the person she loves the most in the universe, she chose to resist this gift from the universe and drive him away rather than accepting it.

This statement is not true at all but at least that's what was in Leah's head during all this time they were in the middle of the threes.

WOOF WOOF WOOF

Barked the dogs with drool flowing down their mouth as they were sneafing everywhere they passed.

“He couldn't have gone too far on foot so believe me we will find him” said a very good looking male blonde cop when they find themselves in the middle of the threes with 3 passage and they couldn't make up their minds as we're to go.

“One group With me, we're going to the left and the other group need to head to the passage on the right” continued the handsome officer

With no delay, Leah started walking straight ahead and Devonte exclaimed, "We will go straight so do not worry about us."

They look at her and then look at each other then nodded before Devonte and Nakia decided to follow her.

“Leah, hold on— please not so fast, I'm not ready to lose you too on these woods,” said Devonte

“I already lost him once, as long as we found him losing me is not much of importance, he's the one we are here for,” exclaimed Leah

“help,” they bruskly heard a voice huled a bit not too far from where the were but couldn't quiet see of whom it was coming from

“Leah, wait— this is the real world and these woods can be scary sometimes,” said Devonte while they were running after her.

She was ready to do everything she could even putting her life on the line for him, as she stated it already repeated once so she wasn't ready to lost him again.

At one point she lost her boots and started running barefoot or did she really lost them or she take them off to make a point?

As Devonte laid eyes on her and saw that he felt concerned.

“Nakia we need to stop her, I Don't want something to sting her,”

“Sir, she already make that clear. Everything you say to her right now won't resonate right with her so let's find him and then we will talk about it,” answered Nakia

Devonte was so over it but nothing he could have done about it, Nakia glance at him and smirked then she continued “This is what a mother will do when it comes to her children, especially when she gave all her strength and water delivering him,”

“I understand and I wouldn't either as a father but this is madness,” added Devonte

“Madness? You haven't even seen anything yet, So now is not the time to catch your breath,” then she ordered to the others “Let's goo, wherever she goes we follow,”

Then the chase continued, arriving somewhere in front of a big three she stop and started scanning the place.

Minutes later when they finally caught up to her, they saw her pointing at the tall three.

“Here, there was something here with him and they were fighting,” exclaimed Leah.

“What? So he is in danger? Is he talking?“ Demanded Nakia

“Nope, he is not talking or been chasing, if anything he was the one doing the chasing and guess what he was winning!!“ She explained to them proudly as she shifted her gaze to the left she saw an abandoned donut shop and she decided to go there.

As she was leaving to go to the left, the image of Axell hanging The Distorted One he thought was Jackson; on the tall three with a telekinetic force while tears dropping out of his eyes before letting it go to get inside the Abandoned donut shop flashing before her eyes.

But no one else couldn't seen it.

“Let's go, let's go. We're going in,” ordered Nakia while the HU-SQUAD with guns in hand was ready to get inside the donut shop.

To their suprise Leah stopped in front of it and did not make no more step.

“What is it?“ Asked Devonte

She was looking straight at the shop but them shifted her gaze slowly at Devonte to say “He is not there,” before turning her back on them.

Devonte go after her and spoke “Okay then, where else would you suggest?“

“I'm afraid this is something I should ask you—” Affirmed Leah “cause the creature he is after is none other than Jackson himself. He is now the last Distorted One standing!“

“Wait—waa—what? How is that possible?“ Mumbled Devonte, you could see the pain in his voice “And I—I thought they were all dead if they found themselves withing 200 hundred miles radius?“

“Yes, but it's if only he was. Whenever that transformation happened to him, he was knowhere near.“ Exclaimed Leah.

Devonte bend down while putting both hand on his knees and then straighting up, stretching his hand towards Leah.

“But—But—can't you reverse it? You did it once and I never knew it was you to thank for. You can do it again and I'll make sure to give you a proper thanks, can't—can't you?“

She turned towards him and started looking at out of pity then tried to open her mouth to say something but she stopped.

With that impression, Devonte already knew what the response was going to be.

“I—if I could, I would, but I'm afraid it is too late now,”

Water began coming out of Devonte eyes and nose.

“Wh—wh—why?“

“Go ahead, and let it all out. This is no time to be strong,” rambled Leah while taping his back and the he crumble on the soil.

“He is the only one I got, why would the universe be so cruel and take that away from me” sobbed Devonte the he look at the sky and push a cry “WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY”

it was so loud that Nakia ran coming out of the Shop to see what was happening.

And when she got there she saw the scene then Leah turned and face her.

She got closer and asks “what happened?“

“It off Jackson, Axell is running after,“ Comfirmed Leah “He is trying to save him but it was game over since he got through the red door. It was the last stage of him becoming one of them.”

“Shit,” shouted Nakia

“He got all his right to be that devastated you know?“ She Affirmed while staring at Devonte sitting on the stairs then he turn to face Nakia “If that was me, I would have put the universe upside down to get a response, not crying,”

Then a drop of tears flowing down her chic and dropped on the ground.

“Talking about that, he is not in there. There is no one in there” comfirmed Nakia

“I know, since the first time we got here,”

“How? How can you be able to see all of these, you're not even sleeping,” demanded Nakia

“I spent enough time asleep, so I don't need to be asleep to see what is going on around me. It's a if this world and the dream realm was intertwined as one, for me” stated Leah.

“So what should we do now?“ Questioned Nakia

Leah was thinking as what to say, meanwhile Devonte finally done griefing, he got up and look up at them.

“I lost one, there is no reason to lost two,” stated Devonte then he continues “You asked me earlier, if I know where they should be then yes I know exactly where there are!“

“Where?“ Immediately asked Leah.

“Just follow me,” he replied and began to heads to the East.

“Fall back, fall back our search is over we unlock a new location,” ordered Nakia and they followed.

Minutes later while on their way to the new location, Nakia's radio started beeping.

She open it and heard the police agent talking “Agent Nakia, i talked with the others and he reported that there is nothing on his side and so do mine,”

“So what should we do?“ the voice in the radio continued.

“We got a leak saying that the boy is at a certain dinner called Paix interieur, do you have any paix interieur dinner closeby?“

“Yes, it 30 minutes where we at? We'll be on our way there” comfirmed the Cop

“Okay then, find us there!“

“Copy,”.

When they got there they saw that the small dinner was close and it was only 11PM.

It was close but inside was a bright light coming out of it. They quickly broke the door down and got in. That's when they saw him standing in front of The Distorted One with a green door open behind him as they were about to attack each other's.

After Devonte saw the tattoos indicated the Distorted One was really his son, he ran and got between them trying to talk it out of it.

“Son, whatever happened to you I know there is a part of you still in there. You have to know that We are not afraid of you and that we are here trying to help you, so if you hear my voice, hold on to it and find a way out,” speeching Devonte

As the Distorted one was looking and paying attention to him it was clear that he was ready to listen.

“As a father I know that I failed you, but hear me out; I really tried my best, I work so hard to give you everything. But it wasn't the world plan, it say otherwise.

I know that I've been lying to you throughout your existence but it wasn't my will, I was trying to protect and give you hope.

She wasn't dead yet during her disparition, she was somewhere, somewhere she ask me to be and I drove her and drop her there myself, to spare you all of this,

And during all of this, I quit my job and took a smaller one to free up more time for me to spend with you and concentrate on my efforts to heal her.

I didn't mean to lie to you and if I did know that I lie to myself too cause during that time I had hope that she was going to make it.“

After that last sentence the tears Leah was trying to hold, finally came out of her eyes and it was a lot.

“But listen just like I did for her I still think there is hope for you, so come with me,” continued Devonte

The Distorted One head began to move weirdly as it was trying to communicate something with them.

“To put us in a cage, like you did for her” succeeded by communicating The Distorted One.

But no one could have heard what he said but Leah.

“I—I, Jackson no more—LIAR ” continued the Distorted One

for some it seems weird and for the others who knows the creature was clearly conflicted.

“Please, please— I know you can hear me so please find my voice” begged Devonte

“HE MAYBE LIE TO PROTECT ME BUT YOU AND YOUR MASTER ARE A BIGGER LIAR— shut up—YOU ARE DOING IT FOR FUN—I said Jackson no more so ShUt uP,” added the Distorted One

“Devonte, you might be considered stepping back,” suggested Leah as she the only one in this room to be able to heard it talking but she couldn't quiet understand what it was saying.

Devonte look back and refuses “No Leah, I know he is listening to me,” then look back at it “Did you heard me Jack, COME WITH ME,” he shouted

“Shut up, shut—shut UP”

"Please hear what I am saying," Devonte said softly.

The Distorted One gave a brief, frantic shake of its head before stopping abruptly and turning to face Devonte.

“IT'S NOT LIKE I CAN'T HEARD YOU BUT IT'S THE FACT THAT I CAN ALSO SEE THE LIGHT” It said while shifted it eyes on Axell still sleepwalking with the crown open on his head while saying the last part.

“AND I PREFER TO CHOOSE THE LIGHT FOR OTHER REASONS”

“DEVONTEEEEEEEEEEEEE” screamed Leah as the Distorted One running towards Devonte.

Axell remarked that then he started running towards them too.

Like a menace, one hand in his head, his head was tended on the side of his shoulder at first then he put it straight.

Upon arrived towards Devonte, the Distorted One tried to touch him and then it's like something got to him, with the hand it was about to touch him suddenly flew back.

Then it tries again.

Axell right in time jumped up Devonte which put him straight laying on the ground then Cell jump higher landed one knee on its chin making it fell backwards, crushing it's own door.

It got back up tried to jump on Axell, Fortunately Axell wasn't distracted so he saw The Distorted One move, he simply tend both of his hands towards it stopping it mid air while it was mid air, it Mumbled something else which only Leah could heard.

"This—not over. We are going—come back. When we do, master will cleanse you of your sins."

And then Axell make the gesture then it got ripped open.

After it got ripped apart, suddenly it turned into pieces of burning paper flying everywhere then dropping on the floor.

After all was over Axell wake up and saw Devonte on the floor, he ran to give him a hand “Are you okay?“

“I thought I could have help him, Am I delusional for trying?“ Demanded Devonte

“No you're not, there's nothing wrong in trying,” Replied Axell “Except he couldn't be fixed, he was long gone. Believe me I tried,”

After hearing that Devonte agreed with him and Accepted his help to get up.

As soon as Devonte got up, he turn his face to look at the right side of the room and when Axell turned his face to see what he was looking at, then that's when he remarked Leah was there.

She walk towards Axell, trying to put her hand on him but Axell refused and push her hand away from him.

“Axell,” Devonte said

Axell looks at both of them and then he spoke “Look, now that I am outside the orphanage, I'm going to need some time to think,”

“Am I allowed to?“ He continued but this time he was looking only at Leah while saying this.

Leah let a nervous laugh out “Of course, you can! What kind of question is that,”

“Great then, I'll stay there for the amount of time I want and please don't even try to look for me.“ He said while putting his hoodie on then turning his back on them and then leave.

The cops who just happened to got there notice that the teen they were after was heading to the wrong direction, they got confused and decided to ask.

“Isn't that him? Where is he going?“

“Officer, the good thing is we found him and when we talked to him he said he was just needed sometime alone. Teenager rebellion, right?” replied Nakia “But thanks for you service, you can go back it is no longer needed,”

“Oh, okay” he simply said as he couldn't find nothing else to said suddenly turn back to ask “But how old, is he?“

“Oh, old enough,” comfirmed Nakia

“Okay, but—but,” he was trying to say while pointing at the dinner's door.

“Well, that wasn't us, we found this one open—” Nakia stated “I think there is a burglar around here you need to put hands on,”

“We will, thank you for your info,”

“And thank you officer for your help today,” added Nakia, then the officer nodded.

After this long night they went back to the orphanage and the time for them to got there it was around 3 Am.

Meanwhile the others couldn't sleep till finding out that Axell was okay so they began doing their own investigation.

“Where would he go, he doesn't know no one and absolutely a place to stay out there so why would he do that?“ Demanded Olivia

“If you find out your mom was still alive and was there at the point of your nose the whole time and when you went to confronted her she denied you. How would you react?“ Asked Leo

“So that's how he felt, unaccepted?“ Asked Ludmilla back

“Yes.” comfirmed Leo

“Except this is not a reason enough for him to just disappearing just like that,” confirmed Olivia “there is something else going on here,”

“How would you know? for all I know, He's been in coma for like a month so during all this time everything can happen that would change someone you think you know into something way more different!“ stated Helda

“With all due respect, I'm talking of someone I grew up with and I know everything about. It's not like I knew him in a day and fell for him that same day or like a month. I'm talking of Axell so I know what I'm saying— something that we don't know about must have happened for him to do that,” comfirmed Olivia by clacking at Helda

“Okay ladies, now is not the time to argue,” suggested Marty

While trying to find out what happened between these thin wall everywhere they passed there is a group gossiping around.

“I heard that he found out Mama Leah is her real mom and flipped out” said one of them

“I heard they fought,” said another one

“Mentally or physically?“ Demanded this one friend

“How would I know, I wasn't there,” he replied

“So shut up, and stop spreading false info around” skawked Jigxie at her.

Leo was inside the lab, there he found a video that wasn't there at first and when he opened it, he saw Devonte giving the speech he was giving earlier but couldn't quiet figure out who he was giving it to.

Suddenly when he remarked the video was bad quality and seems like the person in front of Devonte was of whom perspective he was looking at the video was blinking that's when he knew what was happening.

“Huh, guys” he shouted but there were so much noise making them did not heard him “GUYS,” he continued and they all went running at him to see what he was making them sign to come look at.

They stay there and look at all the thing. They were speechless after they've done watching it.

They stayed silent for a while and then Ludmilla broke the silence.

“Am I the only one that remarked that they talked now,” she exclaimed via her pod

“No, we all saw the clip Ludmilla” comfirmed Marty

“How, is this one still alive if Helda kill all of them?“ Questioned Olivia

"I would have felt it, simply because it was not in this world or close by at that moment," said Helda.

“Well, this one we are talking about is Jackson, and that answered why Axell left just like that. Olivia was right.” theorized Leo then he carry on “It's like it wasn't only him in there—”

“Like they were fighting trying to take over,” Ludmilla interrupted Jigxie to say

“And of whom he was talking about when he said my master?“ Demanded Leo

“It's like Axell said, he thought Salvador was the one controlling them but when all turned ang gang up on him that when he knew and admitted he was wrong he wasn't controlling anything but on a bounty to kill us all,” explained Olivia

“So we are all agree, there is someone pulling their strings?“ Demanded Marty

As soon as Leo was about to open his mouth to say something, they heard a car approaching and the SQUAD open the gate for the car to get in.

They all hurried outside to gaze out the window.

Everyone got out the car but they nowhere of seeing Axell and as soon as Leah got inside the building, she look at them kids without saying a word she just went inside her room and shut the door.

And so do Devonte he just shaked his head while looking at them then shut his door.

The night passed and the next day comes Axell wasn't there then the next night but Leah stay confident that he will come so she ordered them to leave the lights on at top of the wall around them, to stay open.

Everyday at a particular time she went and sit infront of her room's window waiting for his return.

And if she is not inside her room, she will take a break from what she was doing, very often to go the the balcony to look.

Another day and another night.

Around 3 Am they heard noises outside, when she looked she saw the Guards screaming that there is someone outside.

She got into and elevator and got out there so fast, as soon as she got outside she saw the 6's was already there.

And all of the orphans was standing aligned looking through the buildings to see who was it.

They fixed the upfront light to the person standing in front of the gate waiting outside, then they look at Leah and she nodded.

That's when they open it, upon opening the gate the person who was waiting in front of the gate was wearing a gray hoodie, covering his head simply taking it off.

As soon as the person did this, that's when they remarked that it was no one other than Axell.

They rushed to him and embraced him as a group as soon as they got there.

After they got enough they make way for Olivia to pass as soon as she was in front of him, he makes an attempt to clarify his point.

“Hey listen—”

She cut him off abruptly by kissing him on the lips and breaking the kiss.

After licking his lip, Axell moved forward to embrace her and gave her a longer kiss.

For a brief moment, everything around them seems to slow down as two souls that genuinely care about one another finally give in to one another and allow the moment to last. To demonstrate how special it was.

Minutes later after finishing eating each other faced, they remarked Leah was standing steps away behind them.

Axell look at her in the eyes and there they started to walk to each other's.

As soon they were close enough, they stopped.

Axell find the courage to open his mouth first to say a word he never find himself saying before and that will melt Leah forever.

“Mother,”

After hearing this word in his one and truly son mouth this time, she started sobbing.

“I asked them to leave the lights on” she Mumbled

“I see that,” replied Axell as he started looking around

“Everynight, hoping that it will help you find your way back to us,” she continued

“Well, here I am—”

“And deep inside my heart; I know how sorry I am for not accepting you as soon as you find out. I know you were angry at me and maybe still is and you wanted answers but believe me or not I didn't meant to fight you and make you go away. I found out I had a son in the real world the same moment you found out just by touching these balls made out of needles just right after a wave of memories caught up to me, which got me acting up like I was mad.“

“Once again I will ask you for the benefit of the doubt and ask you to believe what I'm about to say, I knew they were lying and that you weren't really dead in the dream realm since you 7's put feet in arcadia that's when I feel it which also confirmed that I was right, since then I never stop looking for you,” added Leah

“Now if you still angry and want to pass that anger on someone, that someone is in front of you, I won't even resist like the first time” she explained “ Now is your time.“

“Mama Leah…”

“Come one, you will never find another occassion like this ever again”

“Mom…” he said once more then Leah stop to listen at what he has to say “I am not angry at you, well not anymore. I put it all together during my time outside these big and thick walls, I did something I never did before which is thinking rather than acting impulsively…”

With that last sentence a quick laugh got out of Leah.

“I perhaps missed some details but this going to be later story so I forgive you and I hope you will forgive me too,” demanded Axell

“You did nothing that need forgiveness Axell but if that makes you feel better I forgive you!!“

They look at each other then began smiling.

“I know you got enough of those today and I also know you hate it so let save this one for a much better occasion” stated Leah

“Hugs are overrated”

Leah look at him weirdly and annouce to him“You will get to like them in no much time, there you will understand the real meaning of it.“

“If you do that this i will never forgive you for” he said sarcastically

“So why don't you ask me something you don't know about me and you would like to know?“ rambled Leah as she tend her arm towards him and Axell grabbed her hand making their way inside of the building.

“I know we got a lot to catch on so why Don't you start by telling me is this your real face?!? And how old are you now?“ demanded Axell which makes Leah burst out of laugh.

“Well—” she started explaining then her voice faded away as they were getting back inside the orphanage, happy to be reunited with their lost, lost brother and son!!!

The moment seems to transitioned to Arcadia when there was that young men with his hair tied behind his back getting out of a light bath all naked.

With a crow mask on and his eyes glowing blue, hidden all his face while some hideous creatures prostrate in front of him.

“The last Ones failed, but I'm sure with this new updated generation I will succeed!!“ The man exclaim, portanted as he reached his hand to grabbed a robe and throwed it on his back, then tend his hand as one crow landed on that one hand “Now fly my infant and announced them of my coming!!!”

The dark bird flew away dissappear into the clouded sky.
