'let's burn these bitches to the ground'

Any worry Georgie had about Josie still being upset at her was seemingly vanished as soon as she woke up the next morning. Hope had informed her that someone had dropped by with a gift for her, and Georgie knew before even asking that she meant Josie by the teasing grin on the tribrid's face.

Folded up at the end of her bed was a bright yellow and blue Salvatore Stallions jersey, with a simple note on top addressed from Josie saying that she had it made for the hybrid. Georgie smiled as she picked it up, throwing it on alongside the blue shorts that Josie had also left for her. She wasn't exactly thrilled to be playing in their annual football game, especially when she had no idea what the rules even were but Alaric had told her that her father had been a natural when he was in high school so she only hoped that it would somehow transfer to her.

"You coming to the game?" Georgie asked as she checked herself out in the mirror, smiling lightly as she decided to tuck the shirt into the shorts. Hope paused at the end of her bed, not sure how to tell Georgie that she was not coming and instead going on a Landon Kirby hunt with Alaric.

"We got a hit on a Landon sighting last night," Hope started, causing Georgie to sigh slightly as she turned around to look at Hope, trying to mask her disappointment in Hope not being at her first game. As much as neither of the girls wanted to admit it, they had grown their bond to the point they almost felt like sisters and they both didn't want to let the other down. "I would have invited you to come but I know your control recently hasn't been great and..."

"It's fine," Georgie interrupted her excuse, not wanting to stay and let herself get anymore disappointed. She knew what Hope was saying was right, but it didn't make her feel any better. "I'll see you later."

Before Hope could even say anything Georgie was straight out of the door, almost slamming into the twins as they passed by the room. Lizzie grabbed on to her arm to steady her for a second, casting her a quick look up and down with a small smirk before looking at Josie with a raised eyebrow, knowing that her twin had been delivering the jersey to someone this morning but wasn't sure who.

Georgie noted that Lizzie was also dressed in an identical jersey, while Josie was still in her school uniform as the girl had an early class prior that morning. Josie smiled gently at Georige, calming the girl down as she realised that the girl wasn't angry at her about the Penelope incident anymore, although Georgie was sure that she maybe couldn't say the same for Lizzie who scowled as she let go of her arm as her mind thought back to how upset Josie had been the night before.

"Let's hit the dining hall and carb-load. It's game day," Lizzie told them both, trying to get the girls both hyped up for the match against the Mystic Falls Timberwolves. Georgie nodded as she moved into step beside them, noticing that Josie was clearly uneasy about something.

"I'm not hungry."

Lizzie immediately stopped, causing Josie and Georgie to do the same. The hybrid looked between the girls in complete confusion, unsure as to what was going on but she knew that it was something serious by the scowl on Lizzie's face.

"What?" Josie asked, continuing to walk and letting Lizzie and Georgie catch her up as they went down the stairs.

"Well, uh, funny thing, actually, Josette. This morning, as I was desperately trying to make this trash bag of a jersey look cute, I suddenly had the urge to purge. So, I fled to the bowl, and lo and behold, I heaved up a gallon of black goo," Lizzie admitted, causing Josie's eyes to widen in realisation while Georgie's widened in disgust. "So, seeing as I haven't been dabbling in any illicit black magic recently, I can only imagine it was a twin sympathy hurl."

"Sorry, what?" Georgie asked, turning to look at Josie who was avoiding hers and Lizzie's gazes.

"And here you are, denying the day's most important meal. So, fess up-- what did you do?" Lizzie continued, allowing Josie no time to try and reply to Georgie. The three girls all looked at each other as they rounded the corner, trying to see who would speak first.

"Maybe you're pregnant, Lizzie?"

They all instantly scowled at the new voice entering the conversation, turning on their heels to see Penelope smiling sickly at them all. She shot Georgie a wink, making the girl shift uncomfortably on her feet while Lizzie's glare just seemed to get colder.

"Oh, or maybe it's just how that jersey fits."

It was Josie's turn to scowl at her ex, trying her best to look unaffected by the girl's presence but knowing that it was irking her. The bob haircut reminded Josie of her anger from the night before at Penelope seducing Georgie, and she furrowed her eyebrows as she attempted to dismiss her. "Go away, evil one."

"Already gone," Penelope smirked, walking past them and purposely brushing herself against Georgie in the process. "Hot tip? Next time you burn your ex's hair off, make sure she can't rock a lob."

They all watched in annoyance as she strutted away, her eyes lingering on Georgie for a second with an emotion that the hybrid couldn't quite peg before she spun on her heel and disappeared into the school halls with a flick of her new hair.

"Morning! Big game today!" MG announced as he appeared where the girls were, a huge smile on his face.

"Bounce, MG. If you hurry, you can catch up with the Blair Bitch and tongue-chum her again," Lizzie hissed at his arrival causing Georgie to raise her eyebrows in surprise. She knew that she had been caught making out with Penelope, but she hadn't realised that MG had done the same too. Josie sent her a look almost to say that she would explain that story another time, but Georgie now couldn't help but wonder if Josie was actually only upset at her kissing Penelope because the girl had done the same to MG.

"Did she-who-shall-not-be-named just fat-shame me?" Lizzie asked them both, casually turning the conversation back to herself like per normal. Georgie shrugged, her mind still trying to process everything that had just happened.

She turned her head as Alaric approached the three girls, a slightly grim expression on his face as he plastered a fake smile on during his approach. Georgie instantly realised that this wasn't a conversation she wanted to take part in, so she simply turned her body slightly and tuned out while the girls argued with their dad.

"Look, girls-- with Landon running around, knowing all our secrets, we have to protect our profile now more than ever. Can I count on you guys do to that?" Alaric was speaking, before he noticed that Georgie hadn't been paying any attention to their conversation at all. "Georgie, that includes you."

All three girls hesitated as they looked at him, the twins being recusant to agree while Georgie tried to trace back the conversation and think about what she actually was being asked to agree to. They all looked between each other before nodding slowly, Alaric's face turning into a relieved one.

"All right. I love you both. We'll be back as soon as we can," he told the twins before awkwardly turning to look at Georgie who was standing there sheepishly. "Number one, huh? That was your father's number when he played for the Timberwolves too."

Alaric turned on his heel and walked away, leaving three flustered teens in his wake. Lizzie and Josie were questioning who he meant when he had said 'we', while Georgie was just reeling over the fact she was wearing the same number that her father had always worn when he played the sport; albeit for the opposite team.

Josie met her gaze for a second as Lizzie started ranting about their father loving the Mikaelson tribrid more than the twins, before looking away with a blush. Georgie wanted to ask her how she knew that the number was her fathers but held back and decided that she would ask the Saltzman that at a later point.

"You're being melodramatic, okay? He's missing one game," Josie told Lizzie as the girl worked herself up.

"First a game, and then our weddings!" Lizzie snapped back, causing Georgie to scoff in amazement at how dramatic the girl could be sometimes. "This game is an opportunity. We can show him how seriously we are taking this by making sure that our secret stays protected out there on the field. Today, we will lose even more epically than we normally do."

Georgie blinked, having completely missed the point that they actually wanted to lose. She thought that they just planned to play badly but would eventually win - not throw the entire match just to hide their secrets.

"Win by losing. That's the spirit!" Josie exclaimed, a grin on her face as she realised her twin was on to something. Georgie kept quiet, looking between them in utter confusion as she tried to understand what the point of them playing the game was if they were just going to throw the end result.

"There's someone we need to recruit to our Island of Misfit Toys. Tall, hot, and handsome..."

"Rafael?" Josie and Georgie asked at the same time, both sounding uneasy at the suggestion. They both wanted to know why the other seemed uncertain of the idea, but they were all interrupted by the one and only Penelope Park who had yet again been listening into their conversation.

"I just saw him," Penelope told them all, looking up from the book that she had been reading as she smirked at the girls. Georgie felt herself rumble slightly, knowing that the witch sure did know how to get her anger on the loose. "Yeah, sorry. Raf's not gonna be at the game. He hopped the Hope-Train out of town. Just like your dad."

They all watched in disbelief as Penelope licked her middle finger dramatically, turning the page in her book without taking her eyes off of the trio. Georgie was the first to break the eye contact, turning around and storming away from the girl before she did something they would all regret. Besides, she had her dad to made proud.

"I really don't understand this game," Georgie admitted as the Stallions all huddled around Lizzie, the blonde having taken up the mantle of Captain like a fish to water. Josie sent her a small smile as everyone ignored the Lockwood, knowing that it didn't matter if she knew the rules or not because they needed to lose anyway.

"All right, I just want to take a minute to let you know how proud I am. You're all doing a great job," Lizzie told them all, flying by the admission from Georgie. Kaleb looked between everyone's smiling faces with a look of confusion similar to Georgie as he tried to work out what was going on here.

"We're getting our asses kicked. Georgie doesn't even know what anything means," Kaleb pointed out, his voice slightly high pitched with sheer disbelief.

"Which means we're doing a great job," Josie pointed out, her hands resting on her hips as she grinned widely. Alaric would be so proud of her and Lizzie if they lost their game worse than usual.

"What's the play?" MG asked, turning to Lizzie in excitement. Georige furrowed her eyebrows, even more confused. She really wished that she had any ideal at all about sports but Tyers had never let her watch it when she lived with him and it wasn't like the wolf pack before him had time to teach the girl about different sports either.

"Aren't we already playing?"

The entire team stopped what they were doing as they all turned to look at her in utter disbelief, even Dorian looking over from where he was on the phone to Alaric with a disappointed look.

"You're adorable," Josie breathed, not having meant to actually say it out loud. Georgie blushed and looked down at her feet while the rest of the team exchanged raised eyebrows at the shocking attempt to flirt from Josie, even if Georgie seemed utterly clueless.

"Anyway..." Lizzie spoke, turning the attention away from the budding romance and back to the game at hand. "Same one as always-- run around, make it look like you know what you're doing, then fail. On three."

As they returned back to the game Georgie really had less of an idea of the rules with every second that passed. She had thought that the entire point of their match was that they weren't to score but MG obviously hadn't gotten that memo as he did exactly that. Georgie furrowed her eyebrows in confusion, before the Timberwolves' number seventeen that had been shadowing her started to speak to her.

"If you wanted I could tutor you in the sport," he told her, sounding sincere for a moment as she turned to him with a raised eyebrow. "A little bit of one-to-one, maybe with less clothing and a lot more sweat, if you know what I mean," he continued, moving closer to the girl with a wink as Georgie rolled her eyes in disgust. She could see Josie from the corner of her eye scowling at the interaction, and Georgie had to hide her laugh as the boy tripped over his own shoelaces as they began to walk away from each other.

Georgie shot Josie a thankful look as the other girl raised her hands, a playful look on her face as she tried to pretend it was nothing to do with her even though they both knew otherwise. Georgie felt her face flush as she realised that Josie was breaking her own rules on using magic during the game just for her, but she was sure it was just a one off the girl would have done for any of their friends.

"New plan. The gloves are off. Let's burn these bitches to the ground," Lizzie told them all at their next huddle up, Georgie now completely lost as she tried to figure out what was going on.

"Lizzie, no."

"We're gonna give these townies a taste of what we're really made of," Lizzie ignored Josie, holding her hand into the middle of the circle as she thought about demolishing Dana's confidence. MG instantly put his hand on top of Lizzie's turning to look at his crush with a huge grin on his face.

"You can count on my steel!"

"Ew. Gross," Lizzie replied, looking at the rest of them.

"Hey, I'm with you. All the way," Kaleb said, before looking at Georgie. "Just catch it and run if I throw it to you, wolfy."

Georgie scowled at the nickname but put her hand into the group, before it was only Josie left who was clearly against this. Lizzie turned to look at her twin in annoyance as she began to beg the dark haired girl to join them.

"Come on, Jo. You're ruining an epic moment here."

"No. No, this isn't what we talked about."

"Well, I'm calling an audible, and I need you to get on board."

Everyone watched the twins argue before Josie sighed and reluctantly put her hand into the pile, her hand starting to glow red as it came into contact with Georgie and began to siphon from her hybrid levels of magic.

As they all broke away, Georgie moved back over to where the Timberwolf who had been trying to seduce her was waiting. He seemed almost too cocky of himself and the cologne he was wearing was hurting her head almost from her increased sense of smell.

Unsurprisingly to everyone, they managed to level the score pretty quickly once they began channeling their supernatural powers. Georgie was maybe the only one not actually having tapped into her abilities, worried that she would get carried away and either hurt someone or cause her eyes to turn yellow - something that would immediately alert the humans to something not being right.

"What are you doing?" Lizzie asked Josie as they gathered round for another huddle, the dark haired girl having now snatched the whiteboard from her twin as she scribbled on the board. Georgie stared at her with a soft smile on her face, not realising that she was doing it until she noticed Penelope Park scowling at her from the corner of her eyes.

"I'm calling an audible of my own."

The girl flipped the board so they could all see what the play she was calling was: LOSE.

"Seriously?" Lizzie scowled, crossing her arms as she stared back at her.

"I'm dead serious, and you should be, too. Dad told us to lose today for a reason."

"Well, he ain't here, so screw that!" Kaleb interrupted, not caring much for the rules.

"Yeah, no one would be here if it weren't for him. My dad built this school for supernaturals like us. So, if we win by flaunting all the things that make us different, we're gonna lose a lot more than a stupid game. We'll lose everything!" Everyone immediately felt guilty from her words, their faces dropping as they realised she was right. "You really want Dad to stop loving us? Keep it up. And if you don't..."

"She's right, Lizzie. We gotta lose the game," Georgie said, causing Lizzie to turn to her with a slight snide glare on her face but not meaning any actual malice behind it.

"I didn't ask for your opinion, we all know you'd agree with anything Josie says."

"Or, door number three...?" Penelope interrupted before Georgie could ask Lizzie what that was supposed to mean, the entire team turning to see the smug look on the witch's face much to their frustration.

"Okay, we definitely didn't ask for your opinion. And how on earth do you always do that? It's like she appears out of smoke," Josie pointed out, Georgie lightly squeezing her arm sympathetically as Josie got annoyed at her ex's presence.

"Hold up, hold up-- what's door number three?"

"You win... without any of your supernatural special sauce. Fair and square," Penelope suggested, rolling her eyes as if it was obvious. Josie rolled her eyes back, clearly disagreeing with the idea and getting annoyed that everyone was even bothering to listen to Penelope.

"Yeah, but we're legitimately terrible," Josie pointed out, Georgie nodding as everyone looked at her knowing that she was the worst out of them all.

"No, we used to be terrible," Lizzie pointed out, motioning to Kaleb with a smile forming on her face. "But Kaleb's new this year!"

"So am I!" MG interrupted, trying to make himself seem like a better player to try and make Lizzie like him more. "I can help us win, too!"

Everyone paused as they turned to look at him skeptically, Georgie hiding a small smile behind her hand as she looked around at their faces. Dorian leaving them alone certianly had made this much more interesting than she expected it to, and she was starting to feel glad that Alaric had made her take part.

"Yo, I caught that pass earlier!"

"Yeah, but you cheated," Josie pointed out, rolling her eyes as she looked around at the team in despair. "You used your powers."

"No, I didn't!" MG sputtered as everyone continued to stare at him as if he thought they were stupid. Georgie sheepishly shook her head at MG to try and get him to stop talking, but the vampire just didn't seem to get the hint at all. "I'm-I'm just, I'm scrappy like that."

Lizzie sighed deeply at the boy's pathetic attempt before turning back to look at Penelope, her eyes slightly skimming over how Georgie was lightly squeezing Josie's arm to calm her twin down. She eyed the Park girl for a moment before deciding that the idea might actually work and she'd be able to put Dana in her place.

"Good idea, Satan. But, to be clear, you can't have my immortal soul."

Penelope smiled smugly, blowing kiss a fake kiss while looking at Josie and just making the dark haired Saltzman's urge to throw the game even bigger. She couldn't let them all disappoint her dad like that and she didn't want Penelope to get any satisfaction from letting them win the match with her idea.

"Fair and square..." Lizzie murmured before turning to the rest of the team with a grin on her face. "Let's do this."
