You

"Duck!" Lockwood screamed. I pulled my hands up to cover my head and fell to the floor as Lockwood ripped a canister of greek fire from his belt, retching it down the cobble hallway. I was blown forward into Lockwood when it exploded, knocking us both out.

As my senses regained and I became aware of my surroundings my heart stopped. Lockwood's eyes fluttered open, seaming  undisturbed by out posture. By with I mean my knees where straddling his muscular hips. He reached up and put his hand to my cheek. His eyes softened with worry and relief at once.

"Are you alright? Are you hurt?" He asked.
"No, no Im alright. You?" I said trying to stay calm.
"Yes Im alright." He replied taking his hand away.

When he tried to sit up he found he was unable to.
My cheeks flushed and I looked away. His hand brought me back. His hand found its way to the back of my neck and pulled me closer. I instinctively closed my eyes and for a brief moment I could feel his breath tingle my lips before I pulled back; sitting up and helping him up as well.
For a moment something flashed across his face before he pulled his signature smile back on.

"Well, I suppose we're off." He said turning but as he did I could tell his ears were slightly pinker than normal.

Back in the taxi heading to a place I used to call home, we did not speak. Well at least at first. Lockwood turned to me after a while. I looked at him from the corner of my eye and saw something other than him. I saw another car, headlights beaming, showing no signs of stopping. I screamed unbuckling my seat belt and jumping forward to shield Lockwood.

Then it hit.

Fire shoot through my body, fireworks ignited in my chest sending a shriek from my mouth. The car flipped and flipped and flipped and all the while I held tightly to the boy I had fallen for.

The car stopped and we were left hanging upside down. I fell to the ceiling while Lockwood dangled above.

Blood. There was so much blood.
My ears were pounding and my eyes faded in and out of complete darkness before my spinning world slowed. Lockwood was screaming my name. I opened my eyes and looked at his wet face. His eyes were red and swollen I observed as he crouched over me.

"Luce?" He croaked.
"Loc-" I croaked but was unable to finish before pain ripped everywhere.
"No please Luce! Stay with me please!" He cried.
"I" I croaked. It hurt so bad. But I had to say it.
"You what Luce?" He sniffled
"Love." I tried so hard to finish the sentence. So very hard. My eyes became extremely heavy and I knew I was slipping away.
He held his breath as I used my last one to say
"You."

Everything went black.
