Snowstorm part 2
(A/N: Since people actually wanted a part two, here it is! This random, but is anyone else here excited about how much Harry Potter there is today? Just me? Okay... Happy Reading!)
"I love you too."
Lockwood froze. His breath instantly became hitched and he couldn't think straight.
Huh? Am I asleep? Is this real life? She couldn't have meant that, could she? I want food. And a book. No I don't want food. Well, actually, waffles are good. Wait, no, Lucy just told me she loves me. But on the other hand, I really do want waffles. Maybe Lucy wants waffles while we talk about this. Or maybe I'm just distracting myself from facing Lucy. Okay. First, I have to get my thoughts together. No more waffles. I can eat later. Two, I have to think of what I want to say- wait, no, stop staring at her before that. Lockwood shook his head. Ugh. Okay, I can just do this without a plan. I do things without a plan all the time!
"You- you heard that... Didn't you?" Lockwood muttered.
"If you mean hearing you say that you Love me, then yes, I did hear that. Then again, I could have been sleeping. I do that a lot; sometimes I think I hear something, so I respond, and it turns out I was having a dream." Lucy said, getting slightly off topic.
"So does that mean..." Lockwood trailed off.
"Does that mean what?" Lucy asked.
"Actually, can we get waffles before we talk about this, because I'm hungry."
"What? Fine. Get waffles. Wait, I want some waffles too! I'm coming with you!" Lucy said.
Lockwood laughed and got up, with Lucy following right behind him.
"There's one reason that I love you." Lockwood said quietly.
"I heard that too." Lucy said plainly. "Don't think I can't hear what you're saying because you said it quietly."
"Oops..." Lockwood muttered, blushing slightly.
"Don't worry, I mean, George isn't up, and who else would be in the house?" Lucy said, trying to make him more comfortable with talking openly.
"Lucy, don't ever say 'who else could be in the house' because usually, right after someone says that, someone else is in the house." Lockwood said quickly.
"Well, I'm still probably the only one who heard that." Lucy said.
"I'm sure you are." Lockwood replied. "How many waffles?"
"How many waffles can we make?"
"At the very least, probably... Thirty." Lockwood said.
"Then make me two."
"Okay, so that means we'll need to make seven waffles."
"So you're going to have five waffles?" Lucy exclaimed. "How- never mind."
Lockwood then plugged in the waffle maker.
"There's just one slight problem." Lockwood said.
"And that is?"
"The power went out." Lockwood said, pouting.
"Aw... Well, I guess we could just eat the cake George made earlier today."
"Yes, we could do that, but remember what happened the last time we did that?" Lockwood said.
"You mean do I remember that George wouldn't bake any dessert foods for about a month? Yes, I remember." Lucy said sarcasticly.
"But this time, the power is out, and he put buttercream icing on it. So what are we supposed to do about the cake? Leave it to spoil?"
"Very true. And what about the ice cream? We have to eat that, too, now, since it'll melt if we don't." Lucy said, smirking.
"Yes, we have to eat that, as well. So really, we're doing this because we have to, or else they'll both go bad." Lockwood said, smirking just as much as Lucy.
"I'll get the plates!" Lucy said suddenly.
"I'll get the food!" Lockwood said, with a grin on his face.
Soon enough, the two we're sat at the table eating desserts, the events that led them there completely forgotten.
"Should we wake him up?" Lucy asked as they started to eat the cake and ice cream.
"No, he needs to rest. We're doing him a favor." Lockwood said simply. "And anyways, waking him to the sight of us eating his precious cake would probably traumatize him."
"Now I think I can eat this in peace." Lucy sighed. "Why are we even up again?"
"I don't think I want to remember." Lockwood said, taking a bite of the cake. "Lucy, you absolutely have to try this cake! For, it tastes like heaven!"
"Lockwood, please don't fall in love with the cake."
"You mean like how I fell for you? Will do." Lockwood said, not realizing that he had said his thoughts out loud. Only seconds later when Lucy was staring at him did he realize what he had said.
"Oops... "I didn't mean- I mean, I did, but- I mean what I meant- I meant-" Lockwood stammered.
"What?" Lucy laughed. "I'm so confused but I don't think I want to know."
"I'm sure neither of us want to know." Lockwood muttered.
"I love you, you weirdo." Lucy said, still laughing.
"Could you repeat that?" Lockwood said, smirking.
"No, because you know exactly what I said, you just want me to say it again."
"Exactly. So say it again. I want to hear you say it again."
"I love you, and I mean it. There. Did you hear me that time? Lucy asked.
"Yup! Lockwood said, grinning. "And I think you should know I love you back."
"I think we both already knew that." Lucy said.
"I'm sure we both did." Lockwood agreed.
"We really need to finish this cake and ice cream, though. It really will spoil. And I, for one, think that food should be eaten, so if you don't eat it, I will." Lucy said.
"Don't worry, I'll eat it." Lockwood said.
"Good."
In an incredibly short out of time, Lucy and Lockwood somehow managed to finish all the food.
"We basically just got ourselves into a lot of trouble with George, didn't we?" Lucy muttered.
"Yes we did. But it'll be worth it." Lockwood said as they both crawled back into the pillow fort.
"Yes it will be." Lucy then yawned. "So how much snow do you think we'll actually get? Lucy asked.
"Well, they did about a foot and a half of snow, but I guess we'll get a little more or less than that. We should know by tomorrow."
"Yeah, I guess you're right." Lucy said, laying down and curling up into a ball. "Goodnight, Lockwood. And for the third time tonight, I love you."
"Goodnight, Lucy." I love you too."
The next morning when Lockwood and Lucy woke up, they found that George wasn't in the pillow fort, but was in the kitchen, looking for his cake.
"WHO ATE MY CAKE?" George yelled.
"Uh... We did..." Lockwood said quietly.
"Well I certainly can't trust you two with desserts." George said.
"The power was out, and we couldn't juet let it spoil!" Lucy said suddenly.
"Oh... Well then, I guess you couldn't." George muttered. "But would it have killed you to wake me up? And why were you two even up?"
"Well, probably. You don't like being woke up." Lockwood said.
"I can't say that's not true." George said.
"We we're up because... Something happened, and-" Lockwood cut Lucy off.
"We were just really hungry, okay?"
"Okay, that's a good enough answer." George said.
"Yes it is. Now I'm going outside to see the snow." Lucy said suddenly.
"Well at least put a coat on!" Lockwood called out as she walked to the door.
"Yes, mother." Lucy moaned, walking upstairs to grab her coat.
"I'm going to join Lucy." Lockwood said. "Are you coming?"
"No, it's too cold out there. I'll be in here." George said.
"Okay, suit yourself." Lockwood said, walking up the stairs to find Lucy already had his coat.
"I knew what you were going to do." Lucy said, handing Lockwood his coat.
"Now come on! I want to go outside and play in the snow!" Lockwood said, practically dragging Lucy outside.
"You are so childish." Lucy said, smiling and rolling her eyes at him.
"But you love me for it." Lockwood replied as they walked out the door.
"Okay, there really is a lot of snow!" Lucy exclaimed.
"I know!" Lockwood said, equally excited. "And you know what snow is good for?"
"What?" Lucy asked.
"Snowball fights!" Lockwood said, throwing a freshly mad snowball at Lucy.
"Oh, it's on!" Lucy said, laughing and quickly making a snowball, then chasing after Lockwood.
(A/N: As you can tell, I can never end fanfictions that well. Especially this one, for some reason.)
