"Did something something happen with you and Daniel?"

"Mom. Don't be dirty. No. I was locked out of the house. Since you weren't here for the night I had to sleep over at his house."

"Ooh. Are you sure that nothing special happened?" She raised an eyebrow at me.

"I'm sure but what I wondered what happened last night to Daniel's dad. I was sleeping then I heard some weird noises. I wasn't sure what it was. Daniel just put earbuds in my ears to listen to music."

"Aww. Is my baby having moments with her friend?"

"Mom. I'm not like you who easily fall for a man. Sorry but it's true." I walked into my room with my mom following.

"Did he do anything else to you?" She asked devily. I don't really want to try to remember.

"Is that a yes? .... Spill the beans. Does he laugh at your dad jokes? Did he smile a lot at you?" She asked. She sounded like one of those teenagers at sleepovers who ask her friends who they have a crush on and then gossip about people at her school.

"When will you ever act like your true age?" I rolled my eyes as I smiled.

"Aw. Are you saying that I'm young?" This is what I have to live with. I rolled my eyes.

"That's not what I meant."

"Well I'll take it." I sat on my bed as well with my mom.

"So does he laugh at your dad jokes? Did he smile a lot at you? Does he try to make a move? Did he asked you if your single?"

"Mom. One question at a time."

"Did he ask you if he you were single?"

"Yeah but that doesn't have to do with anything."

"Yes it does. He was wondering if your taken so that he doesn't have to humiliate himself if he asked you to be his boyfriend. Does he smile at you a lot?"

"Yes but he's just being friendly to me."

"No. It means that he likes you being around. Did he make a move on you?"

"I don't know. He has his arms around me when I woke up. He must of had a weird dream so he hung to something closest to him."

"No again. He wanted to cuddle with you. It's so obvious that he likes you Victoria."

"No he doesn't."

"Then what about the clothes?" I looked down and realized that I was still wearing his clothes.

"Well I needed to wash his clothes so I had to take it." I tried to quickly come up with an excuse.

"If you say so." I totally knew she had a grin on her face when she said that. She got off of the bed and walked out of the door. I closed the door and got changed. I walked in the kitchen to see my mom making waffles. She truly is a kid but in an adult body. I grabbed an egg from the refrigerator. I put the pan in the stove and heated it. I greased the pan and cracked an egg on the pan. I let it cook until it was cooked all the way. I transferred them on a plate and put some salt and pepper on the eggs. I grabbed a fork on the way to the table. I sat down and ate while my mom put her waffles on her plate. She came to eat with me.

"Mom you truly are a kid."

"Well does that make you the parent?"

"I think so. I do clean the house, wash the dishes, and make the food around here." I stated.

"I do pay the bills, taxes, and somehow manage to raid a young independent daughter who most of the time doesn't like me to butt in your love life."

"As I said many times I don't have a love life."

"If you say so." She took a knife and cut the waffle. She took a bite at it. I cut my egg and ate it. She walked over to the sink the to the front door. I heard her talking to someone. I got up to see who was at the door. It was Daniel.
