"What is happening?!" Laxus stood behind Natsu, lightning flickering.

"Too afraid to take me on your own, so you brought backup?" Maria gestured to Laxus.

"He kinda just came." Natsu felt a tingling sensation on his hidden wrist.

Without another word, Maria attacked with some sort of Ice magic. Diffrent from Gray's but it wasn't dragonslayer magic, foresure.

Natsu blocked it with a magic circle.
This was weird, Laxus had no idea what that was or what type of magic they were using.

"Oh Nattynu, your bloodline magic isn't very developed is it?" Maria laughed like a psychopath again.

Bloodline magic? That was right, Dragneel was one of the few bloodlines who could use that type of magic. Bloodline magic can be fused with other magics or stand alone.
Some bloodline wizards like Maria, fused it with another magic.

Maria herself has fused it with Ice make magic, unlike Natsu who almost never used his bloodline magic.
If Natsu were to fuse it, it would make him 2x stronger.
But using that magic puts him in a rather foul mood qnd brings bad memories to the front of his brain.

Laxus wasn't going to sit around and watch the fight, he was going to help.
This woman, Maria was insane.

Laxus didn't want to ever say it, Natsu was rather special. He never really feared him like alot of people do, nor did he treat him like a superior.
Natsu has somehow wiggled himself into a decent standing with Laxus.

Laxus snuck around Maria and met Natsu's eyes.

"FIRE DRAGON ROAR!"
"LIGHTNING DRAGON ROAR!"

Maria crumpled. "You disgrace.."
Maria passed out.

Natsu's face looked hardend and serious. Laxus hasn't ever seen Natsu like that.

"So what's the story." Laxus looked around at the old city, in ruins.

"You sure? Its not a happy one?" Natsu raised an eyebrow at Laxus.

"Its up to you, I'm not faint of heart you know." Laxus shrugged sitting down.

"Okay, I'll tell you." Natsu sat across from him, Natsu's normal mood starting to recover.
