The next day as usual annika came to OM to accompany nivi to school. Gauri was plaiting nivi's hair who was seated on the dining table savouring her ever favourite chocolate which her Shivaay had exclusively bought for her .

N- hi annika !! First tell me ,mera dress ,kaise hai?

She jumped down from the table and twirled around holding cute little gown above her toes .

A- bahut achi hai ,you look very pretty (pulling her cheecks )But ,aren't you ready for school today?

N- offo annika ,you really don't know ?

A- kya ?(being confused)

Gauri - aaj nivi ka birthday hai .

A- nivi ka birthday hai ! That's great! Nivi ne muje bathaya bhi nahi (grumpy )

She immediately carried nivi and kissed her cheecks before  wishing her .

N- I have a gift for you annika .(she said happily )

A- it's your birthday, so it's me who should be gifting you something.

N- mein thoda alag hoon ,(she winked )

Then ,she got down from annika's hands and rushed inside her room making annika wonder while gauri just smiled .After sometime she came running with a bag .

N- take this annika , it's for you .(giving the bag to annika )

A- kya hai ye ?

N- there is a beautiful dress inside ,agar tum isse pehnungi tho aur bhi beautiful lagogi .Wear it for today's party, haan!

A- party ? Mein ...(she hesitated )

Before nivi could say anything ,gauri forwarded towards annika and held her hands.

G- annika ,it's you because of whom we aren't worried about nivi's safety . You take care of nivi so well , I'd be very happy and contented if you come .And moreover,she spent almost an hour to select this dress for you ...She loves you alot .Tho...aap aayengey na??

A- zaroor ,(she smiled looking at nivi who jumped being happy)

Evening

Nivi was present with shivaay in his room ,while he was getting ready .

N- hmm ...haan ! This colour is perfect .

S - thank God, atleast now you opted one (sighing) vaise kya special hai iss colour ki suite mei birthday baby ?

N- kuch nahi ,bass aisehi .

S - fine ,shall we go ?Everyone will be waiting for us .

N- haa haan,let's go !

After sometime shivaay descended down the stairs with nivi in his hands ,while rikara watched this with a satisfied smile on their faces .Whatever it is ,they just knew how close was nivi with shivaay and how much she meant to him .From the day she was born, most of her time was spent with shivaay .It leaded to such an extent that her school teachers first thought that she was shivaay's daughter. And Om couldn't feel more happy than this ! Because it was his brother who took care of him from childhood ,and he knew what it meant for shivaay when it comes to family especially nivi.

Shivaay made nivi stand with Om,and moved towards the corner to attend an important call.Since there was loud sound due to the music ,he cornered himself and spoke while closing his ear on one side and shrinked his eyes to withstand the sound. Hunging up the call ,he slowly released his shut eyes which immediately fell on the person who was approaching through the door .His eyelids widened without his permission as they seemed captivated .He had already developed a pleasant curve on his lips watching the lady infront .

It was her, with eyes wandering throughout the hall to check if anyone's looking at her awkwardly .Not her fault though, its her first time wearing something other than her usual shirts and jeans .She would have definitely denied if it wasn't nivi who specially bought this dress for her .

She seemed very nervous as she was still trying to hide her not so exposed waist with the shawl watching which he smiled more."Ms.Ego tho Ms.Shy bun chukki hai " he chuckled .With still more consciousness and nervousness she somehow marched towards the centre of the hall where nivi was present .

A- happy birthday nivi ! (saying this she handed the gift to nivi )

N- thank you annika ,(she signalled annika to bend down )

A- hmm?(bending down )

Nivi instantly planted a kiss on annika's cheecks bringing a huge smile on her face .Then she still more tip toed to reach upto her ears and whispered .

N- you.... look... like... a ...queen (she stretched her words )

A- tum ...bhi ...(imitating her)

After sometime the function started and nivi cut the cake, she first fed her parents .Taking the next piece of cake ,she moved and stood between shivika and fed both of them .They took another piece and forwarded upto her mouth simultaneously during which their shoulders brushed slightly making them look at each other and immediately step back.

N- shivaay ?where's my gift ?(she demanded)

S- how will I forget it ,first you have to close your eyes .

N- why?

S- close karo na .

N- fine (closing her eyes )

He immediately carried her and headed towards the place.Then he slowly placed her to be seated ,and made her hold onto something.

N- shivaay ?what's this ?(still closing her eyes)

S- ek ...minute ,

He released the stand and moved the cycle along ,feeling which she opened her eyes to get surprised finding herself to be seated on the bicycle which she had been wished for since long .

N- wow shivaay !! How did you know that it's my favourite? I didn't even mention about this to you anytime .

S- nivi ki favourite, muje kaise pata nahi chalega...haan.

Saying this he moved the cycle fastly making her shriek in excitement .While everyone just settled back and adored the duo.Without her own conscious, annika had been smiling looking at shivaay who behaved too innocent and kiddish with nivi .

N- shivaay, still more faster...

S- fine ,grip on baby .

And he pushed the cycle still more fastly catching hold of nivi with one of his hands .

N- vaise shivaay ,how does annika look ?(she gave a naughty smile )

Suddenly she felt the speed decreasing and she looked at him who was glancing through the area to find annika .Finally he noticed her chatting with gauri ,by the time the cycle had already stopped making nivi glare at him in anger.

N- I asked you ,how does annika look ?

S- Vo ,Ms.Ego hai,Ms.Dangerous hai,Ms.Riddle hai,(after a pause) par ....Ms....Beautiful...bhi.... hai(he spoke with a grinning smile still looking at her)

N- ohhhhh.....

He immediately got hold of his senses and,

S- uhh vo ,yeah she looks good .I mean ...(interrupted)

N- I understand shivaay ,even I've studied in physics that opposite sides attract each other .I just applied it (she pretended )

S- so that's why you selected the same coloured dress as her's? for me? don't you have stuffs like ,plants ...photosynthesis..something like that to learn in science ?(dashing his head with her's)

N- you know what ?actually this wasn't plan though .I just randomly selected for both of you but it ended up to be similar .Destiny maybe !

S- tum na ...you've just turned 9 today but you speak like a big grown up woman already.I think you must stop watching those stupid films first .

Saying this he just rushed from there ,

N- shivaay ...shivaay, chalo phir ...let me have a cool ride atleast (and she rode the cycle around the living area )

After sometime .

It's been long time since shivaay was searching for nivi but he couldn't find her anywhere .He didn't tell Om about this, as he didn't want his brother worried .But with each passing minute ,he himself was becoming scared for nivi .What if she's in some danger again?? Being hell worried ,he went outside to check for her and that's when he saw annika standing near her jeep and speaking with someone through phone .With full rage he forwarded towards her .

S- Ms.Kapoor ,I remember hiring you as the bodyguard for nivi (he shouted while holding her shoulders harshly )

A- Mr.Oberoi ,I ain't hired by you .I'm a government employee who has been assigned to protect nivi .That's it,(she gave back while trying to come out of his hold)

S- ohh really ,so where's nivi then ?

A- yahi kahi hogi,

S- she is missing since half an hour ,(he gritted his teeth )

A- what are you saying ?

S- so this is how you work haan ?(he pushed her such that she hit the bonnet of the jeep )

A- behave Mr.Oberoi (she glared angrily)

S- where is nivi ?...(he shouted ) wait, wait ....ek minute .Let me ask ,where is your sister ?I guess that will lead me to nivi. If it's your sister again who's behind all this .Tho yaad rakhna ...zinda nahi chodunga usse (he spoke with a dangerous voice with his face just few inches away from her's )

Instantly she pushed him away and stood with red shot eyes .

A- kabardaar Mr.Oberoi ,don't you dare think I'll sit quite if something happens to my sweety di .(her voice depicted her anger clearly )

Before shivaay could react he heard nivi's voice ,

N- shivaay ...idhar ,idhar upar dekho

He looked upwards ,to find nivi standing in the terrace and waving hands to shivaay .

S- nivi ! (Shocked )

He immediately ran to the terrace to be followed by annika .On reaching the terrace he kneeled down and pulled nivi in a tight hug .

S- where did you go haan ?(concerned)

N- I was hiding here ,vo kya haina .I was playing hide and seek with my friends so I just hid below that tank (pointing it ).I'm sorry ,were you scared ...(cupping his face )don't worry shivaay ,nothing will happen to me when you and annika are with me .(she emphasized)

That's when shivaay slowly pulled out from the hug and looked back to find annika standing silently .He realized what blunder he has committed in haste .

S- nivi,go down. Om must be searching for you .

N- bye...(she went )

Shivaay thought of apologizing to annika and looked at her, but as soon as his eyes fell on her she reverted back after shooting anger glares on him.Without wasting a second, he rushed to follow her through the stairs.

S- Ms.Kapoor ,ek minute ...wait ...Ms.Kapoor ...(while trying to match her pace in descending the stairs )

A- ab kya ,you found her right?what do you want me to do now ?are you planning a new accusation on me ?(she replied while descending down)

But he didn't stop rather he just continued following her .Reaching down, she was about to go inside when,

S- I'm asking you to stop right ,wait ...

Saying this he tried to hold her from back ,and due to this sudden action her blouse hook opened realizing which she stood in shock .Even he who didn't expect this ,mentally slapped himself for the embarrassing situation. She caught hold of the two edges of the hooks and moved back to position herself attached with the wall .The place was crowded with guests ,so she couldn't just move out there easily .Thinking this ,she stepped backwards without knowing that he was still behind her .With all this happening  ,this just ended like he stood leaning on the wall and she stood leaning on him. She didn't notice this because at that moment she was too conscious about the people around her and it was the only thing surrounded throughout her mind .But suddenly her nerves straightened when she heard "I'm sorry "which was a mere whisper from him .She slowly tilted her face and looked back to find him just behind her .His face was covered with her hair which was flaunting around .She immediately tucked it behind her ear and moved in front with a very small gap inbetween them .Still she was continuously trying to fix the hook with one hand .He,who saw this gently took the edge of the shawl which was pondering on the floor and  covered it around her and asked her to hold the other edge.

And his next action just brought shock to her as he just gripped her wrist and pulled her along with him .

A- Mr.Oberoi ,what are you doing ?Leave me ...

He remained silent .

He somehow managed to take her along without anyone noticing her .He took her to his room .

A- what's this ?why did you ..(interrupted)

S- chup ,just stay here .

A- par...

S- I said ,stay here (he ordered before leaving the room )

After few seconds ,there was a knock .She opened the door to find gauri there .

G- shivaay baiya ne kaha ,ki you were searching for me ?

A- haa haan ,(she let her in )Vo ...actually  my blouse has been unhooked ,so could you just help me ?

G- sure ,(and she did the hooks )ab teek hai ?

A- hmm,thank you  .

G- dinner start ho chukka hai ,aayiye .

A- haan ,I'll be there in 2 minutes .

G- teek hai (she went )

Then annika came outside, and scanned the whole place to find him but he wasn't there .Sighing ,she went to the dining area .Suddenly she heard a voice ,which made her look around to see him standing beside her .

S- non- veg section vahan hai (he said while smiling )

From no where there, appeared a tender smile on her face .

A- thank you ,(she smiled )

He nodded with a grinning smile .

A- so ,go ahead .(she insisted )

S- what ?

A- ask sorry

S- I remember doing it already  .

A- I demand a sorry for unnecessarily shouting at me .

S- (after a pause ) sorry .

A- look into my eyes and say it ,(she ordered )

S- (sighing )SORRY, look... you have no rights to order me ok .I know ,I was at fault that's why I'm apologised (he emphasized while looking straight into her eyes )

A- whatever,...I don't know whether you said it deliberately or not ,but don't even dream of doing anything to my sister. You will have to face the worst of me then ,(she said in a daring voice ) If nivi is important for you ,then it's my sweety di for me .Anyways ,thank you for sending Gauri and helping me .You aren't as bad as I thought you would be .But still ,I hate you .

S- you are the biggest egoist I've ever seen .

She smirked

A- I'll see you around ,I'm hungry now .
(She went )

S- (he chuckled )So Ms.Foodie is on now (he thought while looking at her )
