You suddenly find yourself in a different room. A much cozier one, compared to what you came across thus far. The windows are sealed shut, so no light can pass by. The quiet taping on the roof gives you a clue that is raining outside. You're not in that underground lab anymore, the taste of freedom lingers on the tip of your tongue. Fin is sleeping next to you on a dark green couch, their features dimmed out by the candlelight. You wonder if you should poke them awake or let them rest for a little longer.

As you look down you see that the electroshock bracelet around your ankle is missing, which makes you let out a sigh of relief. Still, the question remains - what the hell just happened now? How did you even get there? Is this the end of the line?

Your friend rubs their eyes as they try to adjust to the new setting. Delighted that they are okay, you call them by their name instinctively.

"What? Who is Fin?" They say confused. "Oh, I get it, that must be the name you came up with for me."

You ask them if they know how you got here.

"Your guess is as good as mine."

You waste no time and immediately start searching for an exit. As your eyes finally settle on the large wooden gate behind you, you rush towards it in excitement, but then you stop yourself. Hesitation washes over your entire body, making the hairs on your back stand. Your palm resting over the handle that is already damp from your sweat.

You don't know what's waiting for you on the outside. You still don't remember your life before you came here. Would anyone be waiting for you at the other side of that door? How are you supposed to live from now on with no memories of who you were?
