(Part three to 'Desperate' and 'I'm Sorry, What?')

"So, me and Wukong have an announcement to make" Jiang called out as the ginger furred monkey hugged her from behind. "Oh jeez. What now?" Pigsy asked. "Don't tell me the pharmacy ran out of yours and MK's adhd meds again" he said, narrowing his eyes a bit.

"Oh gods no! Please, I don't think I can handle another week!" Tang wailed. "No! No, nonono, it's not that. Besides it's only a month from now that I need to get our stuff refilled. Anyway. What I'm talking about is something, different" Jiang told them. Then she held up her hand.

It took everyone a couple of seconds to realize that she now sported a beautiful blue jeweled ring. "Oh, my gods. No way!" Mei cried out, racing over to pull Jiang's hand towards her so that she could checked out the ring. "Well, it's about damn time" Macaque commented from where he was leaning against the counter beside Bai He, who looked overjoyed at the surprise.

"Going with human customs Wukong?" Red Son asked, one red eyebrow raised. "Yes, fire boy. Yes I am" Wukong replied as Mei let go of Jiang's hand. Pigsy gave a rare smile at the news, and MK looked like he was still in shock, which Jiang couldn't help but laugh at.

Though she paused to return the hug that Bai He was giving to her. And after a moment, she let the girl go. "Alright, so, I have one more surprise for you guys, but it will be revealed after you figure out these riddles and collect the items. It'll be a scavenger hunt of sorts" Jiang said.

MK and Mei were both down, and even Red Son decided to join. So, after giving them the paper with the riddles, the trio ran off, and Jiang leaned back against the wall. "So, how long do you think it'll take for them to get back?" Macaque asked.

"Well, should be between an hour, and a hour and a half, give or take. Mei is ridiculously good at riddles, and MK is pretty good at finding things that are in the city" The pyrokenetic female responded. And sure enough, an hour and fifteen minutes later, the group came back, and Mei had a shocked look on her face. "You! Are pregnant?!" She cried, pointing an accusatory finger at Jiang, who was now snacking on some fried noodles topped with deconstructed sushi.

The girl simply smiled and nodded. The reactions of everybody in the shop were different. Tang had froze, noodles halfway to his mouth with shocked expression, Pigsy looked like he was about to faint, Macaque appeared to be impressed, Red Son seemed mildly surprised, and MK looked shocked, happy, and a couple of other emotions all at the same time.

"I'm gonna be an uncle" he said, speaking just loudly enough so that everyone could hear him. "And Pigsy's gonna be a grandpa!" Mei called out, taking her phone out and giggling at the expression on the pig demon's face as she took a picture. "Don't make me feel older than I already am" he told her, though his voice held no real spite.

Tang then dropped his chopsticks and promptly fell to the floor. Everyone glanced at him. And it took a couple seconds for someone to say something.

"...I'm surprised it took him that long"

So.

Not my best work.

But I blame it on the writer's block that I had while working on this chapter.
