Im sorry, what?

(This is essentially a part two to 'Desperate')
Wukong let out a soft sigh as he stared at the small box in his hand, tail twitching with anxiety, and the words he wanted to say weighing heavy on his tongue. Admittedly, human marriage customs were very different from demon ones, as he recently found out, but, seeing how Jiang wasn't exactly a demon, he decided to go along with the human customs. The demon customs could come later.
It was simply working up enough courage to pop the question. Not to mention place and timing. But, nothing ever seemed right.
It had already been two weeks since he bought the ring, and about a month since he and Jiang had their first time together. Even though it had been that long, he still found himself going red in the face when that night popped up in his mind. Jiang had really looked good in those moments.
Anyway. She should be off of work by now, and she did want him to come over due to having something important to talk to him about, so, maybe then would be a good time. And with that thought, Wukong summoned his cloud and zipped off towards the city.
Pacing around in her bathroom, Jiang tapped her fingers against her arms, which were crossed as she waited for the results. In the past couple of days, she hadn't felt the best at all. Waking up to go lose your guts to the toilet wasn't fun at all.
Not too mention the, odd, food cravings she'd been having lately. I mean, who the hell would want a ham and peanut butter sandwich of all things?! Admittedly though, for some odd reason it actually hadn't tasted all that bad.
But still, the recent events, paired with the fact that she and Wukong had done their first time without protection, well, she had to know. The timer on her phone went off, and she rushed to silence it before picking up one of the three different tests. Taking a deep breath, she mentally prepared herself, and looked down at it.
...
...
...
Two lines. And all the others showed the same results. Even the electronic test read positive.
Yeah, she was financially stable enough, and she had a great partner, but did demons even stay in relationships after finding out their partner was expecting? After a moment of debating with herself, she finally picked up her phone. MK had recently gotten Wukong a phone, and he, Mei, and Jiang had taught him how to use it.
Safe to say he was pretty fluent with the whole concept. Now, clicking on his contact, Jiang sent him a text, telling him there was something they needed to talk about. After setting her phone down, all she could do was wait for him to arrive as she stared at the positive tests, anxiety slowly rising.
She didn't have to wait for very long before she heard a knock on her window. And despite the situation, she couldn't help but smile at the sight of her lover perched on his cloud. The idiot never used the door.
It was always through the window. "Hey Wukong" she greeted as she opened the device to let her boyfriend in. Almost immediately, she knew he could tell something was off.
"Hello Little Flame, what's wrong?" Wukong greeted then asked, using one of his favorite nicknames for her. "Well, um, if you want to sit on the couch, I'll show you why I called you over" Jiang told him. Looking confused, concerned, and slightly worried, Wukong sat down on the couch, and watched as Jiang disappeared, coming back a few seconds later with three odd looking sticks in her hand.
"So, these are pregnancy tests, and based off that sentence alone, you should be able to figure out why I called you here" Jiang explained to him as she came over and sat down beside him. Judging from the look on his face, Wuking seemed to understand immediately, and Jiang hesitantly set the sticks down in front of him, letting him see the results for himself. Then, she waited.
Wukong was agonizingly silent for a minute as he stared at the test results, then he let out a quiet, disbelieving chuckle. "You've gotta be kidding me" he said. Jiang looked away, a number of disastrous scenarios flying through her mind, but Wukong surprised her yet again.
"Am I, am I really going to be a dad?" He asked, looking up at Jiang with a bright smile on his face that seemed to get bigger by every passing second. After a moment of hesitation, Jiang nodded. And she was practically in shock when the ginger furred demon got up, looking very happy and excited as he ran around, laughing.
"Aha! I'm gonna be a dad! I'm gonna be a dad!" He cried. And Jiang couldn't help but laugh along with him when he picked her up and spun her around. "Oh my gods! I'm going to be a dad!" Wukong practically yelled before finally setting Jiang down on her feet and kissing her on the lips.
"My gods, I love you. Fuck, I love you so much" he said, nuzzling her cheek, which made her giggle. "Thank gods my fears weren't brought to life" she said. "Fears? What were you afraid of?" Wukong asked her, cooling down a bit.
"Well, I was scared, that, you might, end up leaving, or something along those lines. I don't really know how your demon customs work anyways" Jiang admitted. "Jiang, i would never leave you just because your bearing my child, or children, alright?" The Great Sage told her. Jiang nodded in response, blinking away tears of happiness that threatened to come forth.
"Besides, now I have an official excuse to teach you demon customs" Wukong commented. "Well, if you want, I can teach you about human customs too" Jiang replied. Her lover seemed to light up at that.
"Ohhh, I was so caught up in realizing I'm going to be a dad, that I almost forgot" he said. Wukong revealed a box that was small enough to easily fit in the palm of Jiang's hand, and gave it to her. She gave him a slightly confused look, and he nodded towards the box.
'Open it' his glowing goldenrod colored eyes seemed to say. Jiang gently lifted the lid of the box, and it was like the world went silent and time went still. Inside the box sat a beautiful blue jeweled ring.
"Oh, Wukong, it's beautiful!" She said once she found her voice, looking up at him. "Well, will you do me the honors of giving me your hand in marriage?" Wukong asked her, a hopeful gleam in his eyes. Jiang smiled at him.
"Yes. Yes, yes, a thousand times yes!" She said, shutting the box and throwing her arms around Wukong's shoulders, bringing him into a tight hug. He responded with enthusiasm, holding her just as tightly as he buried his face into the crook of Jiang's neck. "Gods, I love you Jiang" he murmered.
Jiang smiled, and her hold on him tightened just a bit.
"I love you too, Sun Wukong"
