Healing

Memories.

Hurt.

Suffering.

Pain.

Joy.

Laughter.

Beauty.

Everything hurts. He felt like he was dying. And maybe he was. He didn't remember a whole lot what happened.....He was talking with Arin, saying that without him that the five they would have lost....And in a way they did lose. They lost Kai. Kai Smith. Son of Ray and Maya Smith. The elemental master of fire, which matched his whole personality perfectly. The hot head in way more ways than one. He was a brother to all the ninjas, an embarrassing teacher who would tease Lloyd every 5 seconds when he was talking about something serious or important, and lastly, he was a father figure to Wyldfyre. Everyone could see it. He and Nya were quite proud of it, their big brother finally grew up. A little. But none of that really mattered anymore. At least not until they found a way to get Kai back. They had to, with or without Lloyd.

"Don't give up. That's what you are known for, isn't it?"

The voice was soft and warm. Like it had been sent down from the FSM himself. That voice belonged to a beautiful and strong woman he hadn't heard from in a while. He didn't even know if that woman was still alive. Still wasn't sure. This could be just a trick. All a stupid trick. From his brain. Because he's crazy. He is......He hasn't sleep in forever, keeps having visions, and then he saw a guy wearing a wolf outfit threw a dagger meaning to hit Arin but Lloyd moved him out of the way making a him fall to his death. But was he even dead? Shouldn't he be with his grandfather? This all made zero sense to Lloyd, like everything else. Why can't things be simple anymore? Couldn't it just be me, Nya, Kai, Jay, Cole, Wu, Zane, Arin, Sora, Wyldfyre, and all the other friends they made on their way? Why did everybody have to leave?

"Shhhh......No one is leaving you right now, Lloyd. You are okay. Please be okay."

It was that voice again. It sounded as if the person was begging now. He also heard the voice almost cracking. He then tried to move his fingers, making sure he was going to be okay or not. He managed to let out a groan, moving his head a bit. With one hand, he held onto the sheets he was currently on with one of his hands. He then felt a soft hand touch it, making him relax a bit. He turned his head, slowly fluttering his eyes.

There was a girl.

A woman, in fact.

"Rumi...."He whispered softly.

He saw her smile. He hadn't seen her or her smile in a long time. He noticed that she had changed quite a bit since the last time he saw her. Her long white hair was pulled in a bun with a red pin, her clothes were white and gold some armor was placed on her as well. And she wasn't wearing makeup, and somehow that made her even more beautiful. But it took him a moment to notice that they were wrinkles by her eyes, possibly caused by the lack of sleep. And her eyes were also red, as if she was crying. But despite all that, he still thought she was beautiful. Glamorous.

"You can't stop staring at me, stalker. I know I am not as beautiful as I was before."She sounded annoyed but even he could tell that she was teasing him."No. Way more beautiful."He whispered."You don't mean that. You are saying that because you have to, Lloyd."She told him."I can say whatever I want."He said shrugging. He started to get up, but was shot down by Harumi."Just where do you think you are going?"She asked."I need to get back to my friends. They already lost Kai, and now they think they lost me. I have to get back to them. Even if I am not ready."Lloyd told her."I am surprised how you are not dead yet. And do you even know how badly hurt you are?"She asked him.

He did, everything hurt way too much. It took a lot of power just to sit up. But he needed to get back to his friends."It can't be that bad, Harumi. I faced a lot worse."He told her. She looked at him as if he had slapped her."Lloyd Garmadon. Skylor and Vania found you by the river. You had a knife sticking out of your chest. You weren't breathing either. Does that sound like it's not that bad?"She asked him with anger. This surprised him. A lot."Sorry, but why do you care? The old you would be bouncing for joy if you found me like that. Why did you agree to save me?"He asked her.

"Wow. This a new level of stupid. Even for you."She said out of disbelief."I didn't just agree. I did save you, Lloyd. Even the old me wouldn't let you die."She told him."Why not? That seemed to be your one and only goal."He stared at her."I thought it was. But it wasn't. It wasn't."She said. There was a moment of silence before Harumi spoke again."Do you know why I refuse to live with you and the ninjas? Do you remember that day, Lloyd?"She asked him. He did. He remembered that day very clearly. He remembered trying to choke out a word to her after the monastery was done. He remembers hearing her giggle at his failed attempts to ask her. He remembered her explaining that this was her path and she needed to fully understand good and the way of life. Just like his father had...Sorta. He remembered sighing when he saw her leave. Leave the monastery, leaving Ninjago, leaving him.

He nodded."The old me wouldn't understand life, good, how to bring honor to her parents....But most of all, she wouldn't understand you, Lloyd."She said. If he was puzzled before, he was totally lost now."Me? Why me? The old you seemed to know me better than anyone."Lloyd said."She did, but the one thing she didn't understand was why you didn't give up. When you lose everything. Why wouldn't you give up on her. She would spend nights and nights wondering why you didn't kill her. Because she would have done the same thing. But I am not the old me anymore. I now know more about life and good."She said."And what about me?"He asked her."You just fell heads over heels for me, Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon."She said teasingly."I did not!"He defended."Looks like you still are."She said giggling noticing his cheeks were quite red."Am not!"He defended."Are too!"She sang.

"Am not!"

"Are too!"

"Am not!"

"Are too!"

"Am not!"

"Are too!"

They both looked at each other and laughed."We sound like kids."Harumi admitted."Did we ever grow up, really?"Lloyd asked with a small laugh. Harumi shook her head. They looked at each other for a long time. It seemed like forever. Before Lloyd broke the silence."Harumi. How....Long was I out?"He asked carefully. For all he knew, his friends could be searching for him, almost giving up.....And preparing to grieve for him and Kai."Almost two weeks, Lloyd."She told him. He didn't speak. Two weeks.....The others might have given up, but they can't be worrying much anyway, because they needed to stay strong. Lloyd knew Lord Ras would return. He knew he would."Your friends never stopped looking though."She added. Lloyd should have known....."How do you know that? Have you seen them?"He asked."I have."Harumi replied."Why didn't you say anything?!"He asked a bit harshly.

"Because.....I wasn't even sure if you were going to make it.......And I know I should have, but...I don't know. You needed me, and all these crazy things like the blood moon and Lord Ras.....Even if you were breathing I was still worried..."She said. It took a moment before Lloyd started to smirk."What?"She asked."Aw, you care about me."He said at last."Duh!"She exclaimed. He then formed a soft smile."Sorry. I know it must have been kind of scary for you. I just.....Don't want them to worry. We just lost Kai.....Oh no....Skylor."Lloyd said."She already knows, Lloyd."She said. He turned to her."How? What?"Lloyd asked."She needed something from the cloud kingdom when she overheard them talking....."She explained."Oh."Was all Lloyd could say.

Harumi then shook her head."She'll be okay. Kai will be okay. But before that, we need you to get better. You do want to see your friends, right?"She asked."Yes. They need to know I am okay."He said."They will. But I think you should rest. Today has been something for you hasn't it?"She asked. He nodded. And began to close his eyes.

For the next month or so, Lloyd and Harumi began helping him recover. And soon enough he was able to walk. That wasn't normal for a human, but in Lloyd's case he wasn't human. He might need to work on a few other things, but he could do it. He knew he could, with the help of his family.

Just as he was walking out of his little tent, he spotted his friends....Nya was yelling at a person for possibly keeping Lloyd away from them."Hey guys-WHAO!"He cried out as they all ran over him hugging him like he never been hug before."I hate you, Lloyd. Couldn't you given me a break that day?"She asked him once everyone got off him."I am sorry, Nya. I know. But I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for a certain someone."Lloyd said not looking at Nya but instead looking at Harumi who was smiling."Yeah, your girlfriend."Nya said rolling her eyes.

"She is not my girlfriend! It was just a silly crush."Lloyd said. Everyone but the new ninja team rolled their eyes."It was! I feel nothing out of-"He was cut by her kissing him on the cheek, just as she did when they were in Prime Evil's Eye. When she pulled away, she saw his face was bright red, making her smirk."What were you saying?"She asked. This made everyone burst out laughing, even Nya. Which Harumi thought Nya was going to murder her, but she guessed she trusted Lloyd. Nya, Cole, and Zane went to chat with Skylor and Vania, while the kids went to play with Ryiu....And Lloyd went to over to Harumi."So, you know my offer still stands.....Although the monastery may be set on fire every once and while."Lloyd said."When is it not? Maybe I will take it someday, but I don't think now is the time. But whenever you try to kill yourself again or do something stupid expect me to come and save you."She said. He laughed. Pretty soon Nya had to drag Lloyd to the monastery and he knew for a fact he would possibly be grounded....But all he could think about was....

Harumi.

Would they see each other? Yes. They were on different paths, but he hoped not for long. Maybe, just maybe their paths would cross again. Possibly her saving his life. It was funny. She had tried to kill him, but then ended up saving her life. What are the odds? And whatever fate would throw at him, he would never ever forget her. Not in a day, not in a month, not in a year, not in a decade, not in a centurie, not in a lifetime.

Love really does last forever. He guessed.
