Authors Note:

"Golden Nest Restaurant" is based on a real restaurant that's called "Golden Bird Restaurant". It's my aunt's restaurant in Alberta. If you search it on google maps you'll probs find it. They sell Vietnamese food there and I practically used to work there before. So I thought it was a good idea to include it since it's a big part of my childhood.

"A&W" is a restaurant and I'm pretty sure is only available in Canada. I'm not too sure, but we always had it in Canada. Correct me if I'm wrong though. So I added it to add a little bit of Canada into the story.

"WEM" stands for "West Edmonton Mall". This is a real mall in Edmonton (where I'm from) and it's one of the world's largest malls (or at least I still think it is). I grew up going to this place all the time and I lived like 10 mins away from it. You can search it up on google to find pictures if you are curious as to how it looks. They're gonna be going to this Mall a lot in the story. I haven't been to this Mall in year's so it may have changed a lot since then but ill try my best to remember how it looks for the story.

"Lucky 66" is based on an Asian grocery store called "Lucky 99" that I've been to many times growing up.

I pretty much incorporated my childhood into this chapter. (Not that I haven't with the other chapters, it's just this one has many places that I remember from my past.)

So let's get started!

I watch as the clouds move around above us. The sun is shining and it's making the fresh snow glimmer as we drive. It's a mesmerizing sight to see.

As we drive we start singing to IU's "Bleuming", one of my favourite songs by her. The spring vibes of the song make me even more excited for my favourite season.

Jungkook is going crazy singing the song and Mr. Chim and I laugh at his cuteness. I heard he's a big fan of IU, actually a HUGE fan of IU. She's my idol besides Ariana Grande.

We sing along to other songs as we drive, and before we know it we've already arrived.

I hop out of the car and I put my mask on. I lock the car behind me as soon as the two men get out. I have this fear that someone could get in and hide in the backseat and murder me when I get back to the car. I know, I'm paranoid but after loving true crime it's become a habit.

Mr. Chim goes to get a shopping cart but only comes back with one. "Uhm, Mr. Chim I don't think one cart is enough. We're gonna need three of them at the most." I say as I look at the one cart.

"Oh- Ohh, then let's get two more." Mr. Chim chuckles and goes to get more.

One cart won't be enough for the amount of food I'm about to buy. When I have to feed 12 people, I'm gonna need a whole mountain of food for them. Especially since these men eat so much.

I take one cart and the two men take one each, we start walking inside and I'm immediately hit with the warm air and the smell of food. I could literally live in the grocery store if I wanted to.

We walk first to the fresh produce section, there's a bunch of vegetables and fruits. I need to get a bunch of fruits since I know everyone should love fruits.

"Okay so I'm guessing first on the list is fruits and veggies?" Jungkook asks as he looks around at all the colours of the food.

I nod my head. "Correct! Here I made a list so after you get something from the list check it off." I say as I take out my pen and paper.

"Yes, boss!" The two men say and they look at the list.

"I'll get the fruits!" Mr. Chim says.

"And ill get the veggies!" Jungkook says.

And they're off to go get the food. I'm left all alone. I chuckle as I watch them run around to get the stuff they need. Since I'm left alone, I might as well go and get some other things.

I grab some croutons and some ranch dressing that was near the salad items, very useful if you ask me. Since I gotta feed 12 people then that means I gotta grab a lot of ranch and croutons. I also spot some bacon bits and some parmesan cheese so I grab some of that too.

I'm looking around at the other veggies when Jungkook comes back with a bunch of veggies. I start checking them off my list. "Okay, so we got lettuce, cucumbers, bell peppers, chilis-" I go on and on with the veggies he got. "We still need some cabbage and some spinach. We're also gonna go to the Asian market so we can get more stuff from there." I say after I scan my list.

"Okay on it!" Jungkook runs back to go look for some other veggies.

We finished getting our veggies and fruits, next on the list was dairy products. This time I went and got the products and the two men followed. Jungkook occasionally threw some stuff that he wanted into the cart, mainly candies and chips.

I got all the kinds of cheeses that I wanted, and also milk and yogurts. Basically, just the dairy that we need. I get some regular milk and some almond milk and coconut milk for me. I'm not a fan of normal milk so I get some artificial milk instead.

After getting dairy, we head to get the meat and seafood. Jungkook chooses a bunch of seafood and Mr. Chim chooses the meat, they seem to be very good at this.

Then we get the bread and sweets, and the junk foods. I also get some of the other things on my list. Then we head to check out.

We go to self check out since it's there's no one there. I make jungkook scan the foods and I put them into the reusable bags I brought. And Mr. Chim puts them into the carts.

We end up walking out of the store with three carts full of food, this is only about to grow since we still gotta go to the Asian mart, in China-Town.

We pack everything into the trunk of the car, I folded up the back seats so we can put more food in there. I have these stackable buckets/containers so we put the food in there. It makes more space in the trunk, might be one of the best investments I've made. I'll do anything for food, like literally.

"Okay, that's the last bag. Where to next?" Jungkook says as he shuts the trunk.

"Are you guys hungry? I wanna eat lunch now." I say as I rub my stomach.

"Yeah I'm pretty hungry, all of that shopping made me hungry," Jungkook says and Mr. Chim agrees.

"Then least go eat some food! I know this really good restaurant in China Town!" I say excitedly. "It's called Golden Nest Restaurant, only thing is, it's gonna take 30 mins to get there since it's on the other side of town," I say kinda sad.

"That's fine, I mean, if you say it's good then we might as well go try it! Plus we don't know any good places around here since we don't live here." Jungkook says.

"That's true! So let's go!" I say as I get into the car.

The drive took 50 mins since there was a bit of traffic, but it felt like it was only 20 mins since we were jamming out to music on the way there.

I park near the back of the restaurant since there's no space in the front to park. The door to the back was open so I let myself in. "Auntie! I'm back!" I say really loudly.

"Ohh Zozo you're here!" Auntie Cece comes out from the kitchen.

I hug her really tight. "Yep, I'm here! I haven't been here in a while."

She's technically not my real aunt, but she's one of my mom's friends from when I was still a baby. My mom and aunt Cece used to work together at Mcdonald's when I was little, but they lost contact when my mom moved to work at A&W. I haven't talked to her since until I was 18, I met her again at WEM. She's like an aunt to me, maybe even more. She doesn't have children so Caro and I are like her children.

She is the co-owner of this restaurant with her Vietnamese husband Uncle Cho. So, aunt Cece is a Filipina born in the Philippines, and uncle Cho is Vietnamese but he was born in Canada. It was originally Uncle Cho's mom's restaurant and I was handed down to his being the oldest child. So that's how they own the place. It's pretty popular here mostly because they sell amazing food!

I greet all the staff working, I know most of them since they've been working here for years. I also greet Uncle Cho who was in the front working.

"Who are you with?" Aunt Cece asks.

"Ohh right I forgot about them hehe." I giggle and I pull the two men to come beside me.

"This is my friend Jungkook and this is Mr.Chim, our bodyguard," I say.

"Ohh, your that famous that you need a bodyguard?" Aunt Cece elbows me and chuckles.

I guess they have no idea about what's happening lately.

"Are you guys here to eat?" Uncle Cho chuckles.

I nod my head rapidly. "We're gonna eat a bunch of good food today." I smile widely.

"That's right you will! Now come, you guys get the best table!" Uncle Cho ushers us into the front and gives us the best seat by the window.

It's the best seat since the sunlight shines in and gives off a nice vibe. Also, the best place if you want to take aesthetic pictures of the food.

I sit down and we're given tea to start with and menus. Uncle Cho starts recommending the two men food since he knows they have never been here before.

I look around and I immediately feel nostalgic. The memories of going here with my family when I was super young. Helping out here when I was 18, everything just comes back. I missed this place since I haven't been here in a while because of all the stuff that's happened. The last time I can be maybe in February or something.

I have pushed away from my thoughts as Uncle Cho asks me what I want to order. "Can I get the usual please?" I say politely.

"Of course you can!" He says and then goes to the kitchen hurriedly.

We managed to get a lot of food, mainly the really popular dishes. We first were given the appetizers which were the spring rolls, salad rolls, and onion pancakes. We order one plate of each ain't we were gonna get so full with all the food we've ordered.

"Wow, these spring rolls are really good! And the fish sauce is amazing too!" Jungkook says, amazed at the food.

"Ohh these onion pancakes are amazing! I love them with the sauce!" Mr.Chim says as he takes a bite.

"I know right! We haven't even eaten the main dishes yet!" I say to them. "The spring rolls used rice paper instead of spring roll wrappers. The fish sauce is a really good quality one with the carrots that marinate in it which gives it the sweet taste." I say to Jungkook. "The onion pancakes are their own recipe so I don't know how it's made but it's really good!" I say to Mr.Chim.

We continue to eat our appetizers and we talk about random things.

"What's the best place to go here, in your opinion," Jungkook says as he watches the passing cars on the road.

"Like food wise or what?" I say.

"Like location-wise, where we get to do a lot of fun things."

"Hmm, well there are many places we can go to. But one of my favourite places to go is WEM." I say. "Also K-Days, heritage festival, Valley Zoo, and many more."

"WEM? What's WEM?" Mr.Chim says confusion written all over his face.

"WEM is West Edmonton Mall. One of the biggest malls in the world. Aka my favourite place to go."

"What can we do there?" Jungkook asks as he takes a so of his tea.

"Well many things. You could go ice skating, you could go to the world's largest indoor water park, or the world's largest indoor amusement park. Well, I don't know if they're still the largest but it's pretty big. Then you could also go to one of the 2 food courts, you can go shopping, you can go grocery shopping, you can go to the giant boat thing, or to the underground aquarium, you can go to the theatres. There's more too I just can't remember all of it haha." I say.

Jungkook looks at me with his jaw touching the ground. "Wait- are you serious?! Can you do all of that in that mall?" He says amazed.

"Yep, all of that!" I say as I lean back in my seat.

Mr.Chim just continues to munch on his pancakes.

"Can we go there?" Jungkook asks.

"I mean, yeah why not. We can go whenever I have some free time."

"Awesome!" And just as he says that uncle Cho comes back with our main dishes.

Mr.Chim got the 5-star vermicelli bowl, Jungkook got Pho, and I got Pho. Aunt Cece made sure to give us a lot of meat in our Pho. "Okay, let's eat!" I say to the two men.

We all start digging into our food and I have to say, it's amazing! Or amajin as Jin would say. I've missed this food especially after not having it for a really long time.

Jungkook gasps at how good it is, and Mr.Chim is too busy to even speak. That's how you can tell the food is good.

We finished our food really quickly because it was too good. I bought some more food for takeout so that the others at home can have some. I talked a bit with aunt Cece and uncle Cho. We caught up about our lives and then we decided to head out.

But first, we have to go get some baked goods from the bakery next door to the restaurant. Well, not exactly next door since there's a dim sum place in between, but you get the gist.

This bakery has been here as long as the restaurants have been here. The owner is also Vietnamese and their children took over the business. I know the people who work there very well since they are around the same age as aunt Cece and uncle Cho, and their children are around the same age as Caro and I.

I took Jungkook and Mr.Chim to the bakery. The smell of baked goods took me back to memory lane. Coming here early in the morning with Caro to get baked goods was something I could never forget. "Helloo!" I said as I walked in.

I saw Nina and Jacob standing at the counter designing cakes. "Hi, Zoey! Long time no see!" Nina says as she runs over to me.

I hug her really tight. "It's been so long!" I say as I also hug Jacob. "How are you guys?"

"We're doing amazing!" Nina says.

"Who are you with?" Jacob says as he looks at the two men.

"My friends. Uhm, Junny and Chimmy?" It came out more like a question.

I can't let them know who they are because I know these two know who BTS is.

The two men nod their heads in agreement.

"Ohh, nice names I guess?" Jacob says.

I laugh. "We're here to get some bread hehe," I say.

"Ohh well then come choose which you want," Nina says as she drags me to the bread.

I talk with Nina as we get some bread as the boys look around. Jacob goes back to decorating his cake. "Ohh guys, you can choose some bread that you want to get. Get as much as you want, it's on me anyway." I say to the boys.

Jungkook excitedly gets a tray and chooses some bread. I heard Jungkook likes food with flour on it aka bread.

Once I check out we ended up spending $60 on bread, I'm not surprised though. I love bread as long as it's not too plain like it needs to have something on it or in it or else I won't like it much. I'm not a very picky person when it comes to food it just depends on what it is.

I say goodbye to Nina and Jacob and we head back to the restaurant since we parked behind. We grab the food that we left in the restaurant since they were still cooking it, and we headed to the car.

"Are we going home now?" Jungkook asks as he goes inside the car.

"Not yet, we still have to go to Lucky 66. Don't worry it's like 10 mins from here." I say as i start the car.

"Lucky 66? What's that?" Jungkook says.

"It's the Asian market. There's like three in China-Town but this one is the biggest."

"Ohh okay." He says.

And we're off to our next stop.

Jungkook's POV:

We are sitting inside Golden Nest Restaurant. From the second we walked in here it seemed like Zoey's pretty familiar with the place. We just walked right in from the back and the people greeted her immediately.

She seems happy, like a genuine happy. Not the tired forced happy (not the fake kind) but she seemed happy in a loving way.

I'm sitting here in front of her. Zoey just keeps looking around, smiling at the things she sees. Possibly remembering things from her past. This just reminds me how little I know about her, I kinda want to know more though. She seems... Interesting.

I sat here and watched her as we made small talk. She always talked about the things she loved so passionately.

Zoey's POV:

"How many carts do we need boss?" Mr.Chim says.

"Do you have to call me boss? It sounds like we're in the mafia or something." I laugh.

"No, I like calling you boss." Mr.Chim chuckles.

"Okay, whatever. And we need 2 of them, or at least I hope we only need 2 carts." I say. I'm not sure if I need to spend more on food since we bought a lot.

"Okay boss." Mr.Chim says.

"I'll take one," I say, but as I go to grab one Jungkook stops me.

"No ill take one, Mr.Chim you take the other one. You seem tired, so we'll push the carts and you just lead the way." He says.

"Oh- okay, I guess that works. Follow me then." I say to them.

We walked in and we started off in the veggies and fruits section. I got a bunch of veggies that they didn't sell at the normal market.

"Ooo!" I run over to something.

"What?" Jungkook says confused.

"That have durian and jackfruit. They look pretty fresh too." I say excitedly.

"Ohh i like durian too!" Mr.Chim says.

I give him a high five. "You have good taste!"

"How can your tell which one is good?" Jungkook says as he tries to pick one.

"Well I'm not sure how it actually works, but my parents taught me that if you can smell them from outside of the shell and it's brownish then it's good."

"Ohh okay." He says and gives me a thumbs up.

I pick on up and smell it, it smells like nothing so I put it down and get another one. I had to smell through multiple of them before I could find a good one. "Heres a good one," I say as I set it down in the cart.

"And here's another." Mr.Chim says.

"I couldn't find one." Jungkook smiles and scratches the back of his neck.

"That's fine." I chuckle. "Help me find a good jackfruit then," I say.

"Is it the same thing as durian?" Mr.Chim asks.

"Well yeah, if it smells and it has a yellow colour then it's good."

"Okay, then let's get looking! Or smelling." Jungkook says.

We ended up finding 5 durians and 2 really big jack fruits.

I also got some other frozen stuff, meats and seafood, dairy, snacks, bread, literally everything that's not available in the normal markets.

Our total ended up being $200+, I'm not surprised though since we got a whole lot of stuff.

I packed everything into reusable bags and we headed out. And yeah I have a lot of reusable bags, maybe even too many. I stash them in the car and bring them with me.

We brought them to the car and put them in the organizers in the trunk. We filled up every single one of them meaning there was no more space for anything.

This may be one of the biggest grocery runs I've ever done! Especially since this might only last a few weeks, I'll have to see though.

"Okay and now let's go home!" I say to the men.

"Mission success!" Jungkook says and we all high-five each other.

"Job well done you two." Mr.Chim says.

"Now it really seems like we're in the mafia." I laugh.

"Yeah, the food mafia," Jungkook adds.

"Okay, let's go now! We still have to organize everything at home." I say as I get into the car.

"Let's go!" The two men say.

"What took you guys so long?" Caro says as we pull into the garage.

"We stopped at multiple places that's why," I say like it was obvious.

"It's like 3 pm already and you left at like 10 or something." She says.

"I know that. Now come help bring stuff inside." I say as I open the trunk.

"Okay, okay, I'll help."

We start bringing stuff inside and it's really quiet in there, maybe even too quiet. "Why is it so quiet in here?" I ask Caro.

"Ohh well everyone is still sleeping, and Henry had to go to his school for something." She says as she drops off a bunch of bags.

"Hmh, makes sense."

We bring everything inside and now the whole kitchen floor is filled with bags of food. It's a pool of food. I can't even walk around with everything here.

"Okay, next mission is to tackle this I'm guessing?" Mr.Chim says.

"Actually, I can do this myself you two can go take a rest," I say to the two men.

"Yeah she's right, you guys should go rest now. Plus I can help her since I don't have much to do." Caro says as she enters the kitchen with the last batch of bags.

"But-" Jungkook starts but doesn't get to finish.

"No buts, you guys go rest and Caro and I will do the rest. Plus I like to have things organized my way. Let's just say I'm a perfectionist."

"Yeah, a perfectionist to the tea! She's crazy when it comes to organization." Caro shakes her head.

"Hey! I'm not that crazy okay! It's just that I like things done my way." I shrug.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever miss perfectionist." She says.

"Well anyway, you two go to your rooms and rest now. Go." I shoo them off and they have no choice but to obey me.

"Yes, boss!" They say before walking away.

Caro and I laugh at them. "Why are they calling you boss?" She turns to look at me.

"I don't know, you tell me." I shrug.

"Okay so I cleaned out the pantry and I also cleaned out the fridge. As you can see the stuff from the pantry is on that counter, the fridge had nothing in it anyways but the containers are right there." She instructs.

"Okay, so ill start with the fridge since most of this stuff is frozen items. They aren't melted though since it's cold out and they were in the cooler." I say as I start taking the cooler over to the fridge.

"Okay, and ill start taking out the stuff for the pantry," Caro says.

"Alright, let's do this!" I quietly shout.

We are halfway through fixing the pantry and we are already exhausted. I've had to fix it up all over again since not everything would fit. We had to take out our other storage containers so that we can fit everything inside.

"Ohh yeah, I took everything out of the office. So it's ready to go to start making the studio." Caro says as she puts stuff into the pantry shelves.

"Okay that's good, we can start it tomorrow. We need to go to Ikea to buy a desk and stuff."

"Yeah, I actually looked at the website so I know which stuff I want to get. And I need to look at other things I want to get to." She says.

"That's a good idea, yeah well go tomorrow," I say.

"I'm really excited!" She claps her hands.

"I am too!" I say. "Did you already finish the designs?"

"Yeah I did, I already finished all of them actually. And I sent them to the manufacturer so that they can send it in at least a week maybe."

"Ooo, so we can open sooner then!" I say excitedly.

"Exactly! I'm super excited. Ohh tomorrow I also have to go to Staples to buy some stuff for packaging."

"I'll help you since I'm good at packaging designs and stuff."

"Perfect! We will have an amazing shop!"

"I hope so!"

Well, let's see how this turns out for us...
