Astrid's POV

Upon arriving to the bar Hayden entered first with me closely behind. As I walk in I could feel stares on my back, but I didn't care I just stayed close to Hayden, and didn't make any eye contact. Suddenly, Hayden started walking faster. When I looked only then did I realise that he has spotted our friends sitting around a glass round table.

"Hey guys, look who I managed to bring with me." Hayden pulled a chair and sat down. I followed his action and sat down joining them.

"Oh I see how it is!" Ruffnut said smirking, while everyone else gave her an confused look.

"What are you talking about Ruff?" Snotlout asked while taking a sip out of his drink.

"Astrid knows what I'm talking about." I looked at frowning because I honestly don't know what she is talking about.

"Yeah Ruff no one knows what your talking about." Fishlegs sated. To be honest I didn't think he would be here, but I guess you can't judge. I'm done judging people.

"Oh she says yes when Hayden asks her, but when I ask what do I get hmmm."

Oh poop.

"Oh I didn't know about this princess." I blushed and kicked Hayden's leg from under the table.

"Ow! What have we talked about your violence woman." I just smirked, and looked towards Ruffnut glaring. I love her, but she really can't keep her mouth shut.

"I only came because Hayden begged me to come." The guys instantly looked at Hayden with raised eyebrows.

"Hiccup begged you." asked a shell shocked Snotlout.

"Yeah, Hiccup did beg me." I smirked while looking at Hayden, and I heard him muttering something along the lines of...

'She's lucky I don't hit girls.'

"I did no such thing, she was revising, and my parents asked me to look after her since they were going to be late. So I brought her here." He said with a smug grin.

"So what's was 'Astrid please come. I promise it will be fun. it's a 10! Please' what's about that huh?"

"Whatever!" Hayden huffed and went to the bar, and as soon as he left all the guys laughed.

"Oh! My dear Thor! I never thought I'd see the day when Hiccup would fluster! This is priceless!" I laughed with them.

This is awesome. I'm glad I came.

"Come on Astrid, let's go dance." Ruff stood up holding her hand out.

"Uh Ruff I don't know how to dance." I gulped.

"Come on I'll teach you, it's easy." I nodded, and grabbed her hand.

She grabbed them, and pulled me next to the DJ. After a while I got the hang of dancing, and let me tell you I'm having a blast.

This is one of the best days of my life so far.

Hayden's POV

I grabbed my drink from the bar to see both girls missing.

"Uh, where are the girl?" I asked panicked because you can't trust the people in this pub. I know she's never been to a pub. What if she got drugged!

"Chillax Hiccup, Ruff and Astrid went to dance. We can see them." Tuffnut said, I instantly relaxed. Then took my seat, but angled it so I could see the girls. You never know.

"You like her don't you Hiccup." Fishlegs stated looking at me with a smile.

"Yes, I like the nerd as a friends. Just like you her as a friend." I stated.

Fishlegs and Snotlout gave me a sad smile.

What's wrong with them.

"I'm pretty sure it's more than that Hiccup." Snotlout shouted while walking to the bar.

Yeah Snotlout. Preach it to the world.

"He is in denial." Tuff sated.

"Tuff, I'm not in denial Tuff. " I looked at the girls especially at Astrid. I smiled while seeing her dance with Ruff. She looks as if she's having the time of her life. I can hear the guys laughing and I know it is at me, but what caught my attention the most was the two guys walking towards the girls.

"Hey Hiccup, are those guys trying to..."

My blood boiled as I saw the two idiots trying touch our girls. "Yeah, they are. I'm going look after my drink."

"Hey, I'm coming too, that's my sister they are harassing." Tuff said standing up from his seat.

Tuff and I walked to the dance floor towards the two men who kept on touching Ruff and Astrid no matter how many times they push them away.

I walked up to one guy and tapped his shoulder, which made him look in my direction.

"She said to let go. Are you deaf?" I asked as anger flow through my body.

"Watch your own mate!" The guy sneered at me.

That's it.

I fisted my hand and punched the guy in front of me right in the face.

"HAYDEN!" I heard Astrid scream.

I felt a presence behind me, and the air shifted around me, I ducked knowing the other guy was about to punch me. The other guy's fist connected with his friend's face. I smirked grabbing both of them by their hair forcing them to look up.

"Listen here mate, the ladies said leave them alone. Now, your are going to fucking leave this pub and never bother not just these girl, but every girl who is pretty much not interested in you. Do you understand?" I asked while gritting my teeth.

"Who do you think you are, the mayor kid."

Astrid's POV

I saw Hayden's jaw clench, and hands fisted ready to punch the lights out of this guy. We were just dancing when these creeps started to touching. I quickly flashbacked to time, the time where my life changed. Tears kept spilling out of my eyes. When I saw Hayden about to be punched I screamed his name. Everything made me flashback to that horrible night. I wished I could forget. I felt Ruff pull me into a hug. I'm so glad I have a friend to cry on because I've never had anyone to cry on before.

The guys who bothered kept on questioning Hayden. From Hayden's face I know he is getting angry.

His already balled fist made contact with one of the guy's face, making the man stumble and fall on the floor. The guy standing was throwing punches at Hayden who had a smirk playing on his face.

I don't understand how he find this situation smirk worthy.

The guy that fell on the charged at Hayden and threw a punch aiming towards his face. Hayden ducked down and jumped back just in time to miss the second blow the other guy threw at him.

"Now boy if you would avoid hitting my face I would pretty much appreciate it." I couldn't help, but giggle. Even though Hayden seemed so confident I was scared for him.

"Hold still you mother fu...."  One of the guys shouted, but only to be cut of by a smirking Hayden.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk that's not very nice." Hayden commented as if he was talking to children.

Of course that statement made the men even more aggravated.

They threw consecutive punches at Hayden cornering him to the wall. The smirk on his face never left. He actually was laughing.

How in the name of thor does he find this situation or event funny at all?

Once Hayden's back hit the wall I thought that is it for him. When the two men went for the final blow Hayden blocked the punch mid air, and held their fist in a tight grip his laughing  never seemed to cease. Then suddenly it stopped and his facial expression just stopped completely.

His eyebrows frowned, his eyes glared hard at the two men, but his smirk never left his face. He pulled the men's fist's forward, and grabbed them by their back hair putting himself behind them. He banged the men's head against the wall his jaw still clenched.

"This is just a taste of what will happen to you if you hurt the people I love do you understand now?" The men were clearly scared, they nodded quickly and ran out of the pub.

Hayden looked back at my tear stained mess, calm and collected. He walked towards, gently placed his warm hand on my shoulder while giving me a sad smile.

"Ruff you okay?" Hayden asked.

"Always am." Ruff smiled back at him.

"Hey man, next time let me in on the fun." Most of the sensible people left when the fight begun the rest had crowed around us, then fled when Hayden glared at them.

"Are you okay Astrid." I couldn't respond so I gave a shaky nod.

"Do you want to go home?" I nod again. I couldn't speak. I kept having flashbacks.

I felt Hayden grab my hand slowly pulled me to him. I instantly hugged him tightly, and silently cried.

"I'm taking her home guys lets meet up at my house later or in school. Okay." Hayden stated while rubbing circles on my back and holding me tightly.

"Take care of her Hayden, I think she's shaken up a little." I felt him nod, and tried to push me back a little so we can walk,  but I didn't want to see the world. I wanted to stay in Hayden's arms where I felt safe, where I knew no one can hurt me.

"Come on Astrid let get to my car and we can get home. I think mum and dad will be there." I moved away slightly, but held onto tightly and buried my face hiding away from the world.

When we got arrived home. I didn't want to move. I started to feel numb. The memories were haunting me now even when I'm awake.

Hayden opened the door, probably realised that I wasn't getting out anytime soon, so he carried me bridal style inside his house, and took me to my bedroom. laying me on my bed, and bringing the covers up giving me warmth.

He sat beside me, but not under the covers. "I'm sorry I made you go there, I didn't think something like that would happen."

I don't know how, but I found my voice. I held his hand that was resting on the bed. Giving his had a small squeeze I looked at him. "It's alright, um... you didn't know. Don't blame yourself for this because I'm quiet used to this." Before he ask any question I added.

"I'm really tired right now. I want to go to sleep." Hayden nodded and left the room.

Everything was quiet, as soon as I closed my eyes the nightmares haunted me.

I can never escape.

Unknown's POV

"She's starting to wake up sir." The man in charge stared at me in shock. It was because we thought this might never happen.

"Show me!" We rushed into a small room that contained one small bed that held her.

Her hands twitching and feet starting to move.

"Should we tell them?" I looked at the blonde man with blue eyes, who now had blonde woman with blue eyes next to them.

"No, not yet. We need to make sure that she's waking up. We don't need to distress them for no reason.

"Yes sir." With that we locked the small room, but now I know I had to keep an eye on them.

For her sake.

A/N: Okay my lovelies I have a really good reason to why I have been away for around two weeks now.

well, my wifi router broke down. When we called the company they said they'll send an engineer to fix it today. So for the past two weeks I haven't had any internet access. I'm so very sorry that you had to wait so long for this chapter.
