Winter's P.O.V

I yawn and stretch my arms out, hearing the sound of my bones cracking and I immediately stop. I hate when I hear the sound of bones cracking. It's just a disgusting sound. I never tell anyone though because, well, you know. Once you tell someone something that you don't like, they will do it and I really don't want that to happen.

"Morning." I hear a voice say and I open my eyes to Hayden smiling weakly. I smile at him and give him a hug. He hugs me back.

"Morning. How'd you sleep?" I ask and Hayden shrugs.

"I got two hours of sleep but I don't mind. I just had this little bit of hope that Amanda would wake up so I stayed up and waited but she didn't so since I was tired as, I fell asleep on this very uncomfortable chair." Hayden says as he looks at the chair he is sitting on. I let out a chuckle and nod.

"Thats why I hate hospital chairs." I say and Hayden chuckles but only for a second until looks at Amanda. I let out a sigh.

"She loves you, you know that?" I say and Hayden nods.

"I know." He says and I stand up and look around the hospital room for certain people.

"Where are Sam and Alec?" I ask and Hayden yawns.

"They went to go get breakfast. By the way, Sam packed you clothes to wear today if you didn't want to wear your pajamas." Hayden says and I look over to where the pile of clothes are and nod, walking out towards them.

I look in a bag and see black jeans and a t-shirt. I grab the clothes and smile at Hayden who was watching me with a straight face. I walk out and go to the closest bathroom to get changed.

I need to thank Sam.

Sam's P.O.V

"Hey dude, why the long face?" Alec nudges me as we get in the car. I look at him and shrug.

"I'm just thinking." I say and Alec gives me a face that read 'continue', so I did.

"I don't know it's just everything that happened with Gemma and Winter. I thought about it last night and I realised that it was my fault that Gemma started on Winter. It was all because of me." I say, looking at Alec who was frowning slightly.

"Sam," Alec says, placing a hand on my shoulder. "Don't listen to the thoughts. You know it wasn't you, Winter knows it wasn't you, everyone knows it wasn't you so why do you blame it on yourself?" Alec says and I sigh, resting my head on the seat and I close my eyes.

"Because if you actually think about it, the thoughts are true. My thoughts are one hundred percent true." I say. Alec starts the car and I hear him sigh.

"They aren't Sam. Hayden thought the same thing with Harp remember? They are getting into your head." Alec says and I shrug, opening my eyes.

"This is different."

"So is everything else." Alec shoots back, a small smile on his face. I roll my eyes and look out the window.

No one understands.

Winter's P.O.V

"Hey," I mumble when Sam and Alec enter the room. Cole, Hayden and I watch as they place the food on the bench near the door. Alec starts handing everyone our drinks and food and we take it, sipping and eating out food quietly.

I look at Amanda while sipping my drink. The colour in her face was better but it wasn't perfect and the bruises and cuts where healing slightly after just one night. I smile at her sight.

Maybe she will pull through.

Suddenly, a doctor comes rushing in and everyone looks up, shocked.

"I need you all to leave the room immediately." The doctor says. I instantly look over at Hayden, shock both filling our faces.

What's happening?

We sit patiently outside of Amanda's room, watching more and more doctors and nurses rush into the room. I take in a deep breath and close my eyes.

She's going to be okay. She's going to be okay. She's going to-

My constant chants suddenly flew out of my mind when I heard my phone ring and I take a look at my phone that was on my lap.

Mom.

I instantly pick it up and place it on my ear.

"Hello?" I say, my voice cracking a little bit. I hear my mom sigh.

"Winter, I heard about Amanda. Are you okay? Is Amanda awake yet?" My mom asks and I lick my lips, looking at the room which had doctors and nurses surrounding Amanda while they talked.

"She's... I don't know. We got kicked out of the room ten minutes ago and ever since then, doctors have been running into her room which things and coming out with other things. Mom... it's scaring me." I say, biting my lip. My mom sighs again.

"Baby, she's gonna be okay. Just believe, okay? No negative thoughts." My mom says, trying to help me and I breathe out a shaky breath.

"No negative thoughts." I say.

"Good girl. I won't be able to make it because I have to run some errands with Becky but I'm sure she'll be okay." My mom says and I nod.

"Okay mom. I love you."

"I love you more, Winter. Stay strong." Those were my mom's last words before she hung up the phone. I sigh and place my phone on my thigh.

"Are you okay?" Cole asks, taking a seat next to me.

"I'm fine." I mumble, not wanting to talk to anyone right now.

"You sure?" Cole pushes and I grit my teeth.

"Yes." I say and Cole sighs, placing a hand on my arm in a comforting way but I push his hand away from me.

"Don't touch me." I snap, glaring at Cole.

"Whats wrong-"

"Cole, leave her alone." Alec interups but Cole shakes his head, ignoring his brother.

"Winter-"

"Cole, leave her the fuck alone!" Alec says again but in a dangerous tone. Cole grits his teeth and tries to ignore Alec and tries again.

"I know I haven't been the best person-"

"COLE, GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY FACE!" I scream as loud as I can and stand up. Everyone around looks at me, shocked, confused and very scared.

"What the hell? I'm trying to help." Cole says, standing up as well and leaning over me. I roll my eyes and push him away from me.

"If you want to help, get away from me." I say and I feel a hand rest on my shoulder, making me snap and spin around, punching the person in the nose.

Holy shit!

"I'm so sorry!" I say immediately when I see Hayden's figure on the floor, blood running out of his nose.

"You..." Hayden says, getting up and placing his finger on his nose and looking at the blood. Hayden looks up at me and starts to walk towards me.

"You... fucking bitch!" Hayden screams, throwing a punch and hitting me in the jaw. I fall to the ground and bite my lip in pain.

"What the hell?" I hear a voice say and I look around to see a figure leaning over me.

"Hey, Winter." Sam says, patting my cheek. I close my eyes tightly and groan when he accidently hits my jaw. I hear Alec start to go off at Hayden.

"Your such a fucking spastic!" Alec screams.

"She punched me!" Hayden retorts.

"By accident!"

"Guys, you need to fucking shut up." Sam snaps and suddenly, Sam lifts me up so I'm in his arms and I lean into his chest.

"Are you okay? I'm sorry I wasn't here to stop anything from happening. I was in the bathroom." Sam says, looking down at me apologetically. I give him a weak smile and close my eyes.

"I'm okay." I say but the thoughts were telling me otherwise.

I wasn't okay.

I wasn't okay at all.

After the little fight with Hayden, Sam took me to the nurses to help me with my now bruised jaw and Hayden went to see the nurses about his bleeding nose. We didn't tell the nurses or doctors what happened and why we were injured and they didn't seem to mind which I was very thankful for. I really didn't want to get kicked out especially when I still don't know why Amanda's room was filled with doctors.

Sam sits next to me, holding my hand and squeezing it softly every few minutes. I rest my head on his shoulder and try not to fall asleep since I hardly got any sleep last night. Hayden and Alec sat next to each other, opposite from Sam and I. They were looking at the ground, distracted and confused.

Cole stood next to Amanda's door, his eyes fixated on the ceiling. I sigh and close my eyes, resting them.

But suddenly, a door opens and all of our heads shoot up, looking at the doctor who was looking back at us with a straight face.

"Whats happening with Amanda?" Hayden was the one to speak up and the doctor immediately looks over at him, his eyes narrowing slightly.

"She stopped breathing-"

"What!" We all burst out. The doctor shakes his head and places a hand in the air, looking at all of us with a small smile.

"But with such little time, we brought her back. She wants to see you all." The doctor says and a smile appears on my face.

She's awake.

She's alive.

She's... okay.
