Autumn Miller sat on the side of the street, her backpack at her side. She tucked her hair behind her ear and got into the taxi, she pulled her knees to her chest and looked out the window, it had begun to rain and she was thankful a taxi had come. The taxi driver smiled through the rear-view mirror " so kid, where you from?" He had an accent, like most people she met " I'm from Bakersfield, Virginia, that's all I want to say" she looked out the window, she didn't like talking about her past or anything, it made her uncomfortable. She leaned back and her head tilted and she fell asleep.

Flashback
Autumn sat at the cafe and sipped her coffee, it had been three days since she had ran away, the tv turned on and a smiling, brunette, lady was talking into a microphone " I'm here at the Miller house, home to Josh Miller, his wife Cathy Miller, and there 14 year old daughter, Autumn, it's been three days since Autumn was last seen. Josh was taken to prison where he will be on trial for murder, the victim, Cathy. Josh was drunk when he killed his wife and as he as dragged away he yelled " I'll find you Autumn, I'll find you!" Autumn gasped and ran to the counter, payed for the coffee, and raced outside, she was running as sirens wailed, dogs barked, babies cried, she ignored it all.

Autumn woke up, the taxi guy was gone and it was night, she got out and walked the streets, she was breathing hard as she ran to an alleyway and set up some cardboard boxes, she slept.
