{40} : "Don't Make Out In Front Of Me."

I saw my parents getting handcuffed and pushed inside two separate cars.

There were lots of agents to escort Mom and Dad to prison.

Michael, Sandra, Ashton and I were standing together.

We saw a man coming towards us. He looked to be in his fifties. By his authoritative voice, I knew he was the head of Special Squad.

"Are you guys alright?" He asked us all.

"Yeah," Michael answered for all of us.

"Our agents looked at the computers here in this building and found out that the bank's main computer and Special Squad's main computer were hacked using these computers," the head whose name I don't know informed us.

"Sir, we have a gift for you," Sandra said to the head. She took out something from her pocket and handed it to him.

"Here's the chip which contains the names of the traitors working in Special Squad," Sandra said. I remember Sandra taking out something from Mom's pocket earlier. Now I know what it was.

The head just nodded.

"We have arranged cars for you to go home," he said. "I'll take your leave," with saying this, he went towards his car.

We saw the paramedics taking Mark's body in the ambulance. Tears were threatening to come out of my eyes. I didn't know him that well but I knew he was a good guy. And it pains me to know that he isn't in this world anymore.

Michael put a hand on my shoulder to comfort me while Sandra put her head on his shoulder, closing her eyes, trying to stop the tears from escaping.

*****

We all were in Ashton's apartment now. We had decided that we would all spend the night in his apartment because we went through a lot in just twenty four hours and we needed each other.

Michael, Sandra, Ashton and I were sitting in the living room.

Suddenly, Michael's phone started ringing. He answered the call. All he said was "okay" and he ended the call.

"We'll be having Mark's funeral tomorrow," Michael said to us. There was pain and sadness in his voice. I could tell that he was trying to be strong.

Mark was his great friend and it pained him seeing his friend getting shot in front of his sight. I knew this image would be forever imprinted in his brain. And he won't be able to forget that his own father shot his friend.

"I'm going to sleep," Sandra told us after a while. She was tired. Everyone was tired. She got up and went to the room in which I had stayed in the beginning when I came to live with Ashton.

"Me too," Michael said and went to Ashton's room to sleep.

Ashton and I were alone in the room now. He came to sit beside me.

We were silent for a while. Ashton turned my face towards him gently and kissed me as softly as he could.

He laid his forehead on mine. He closed his eyes while I watched him. "When I was locked in the room of that building, I was so worried about you," he said.

"I was worried about you too," I said, taking his face in my hands and planting a kiss on his lips.

Only kissing him can make me forget about the last twenty four hours. I can kiss him forever.

"Can we make out? I know it's a bad timing for that, considering what we went through the past twenty four hours but I don't know when I'll get the next opportunity to kiss you because from tomorrow, you'll be living with your brother again and I won't be able to kiss you when he is around," he said.

His honesty brought a smile on my face.

"I love you, Ashton," I whispered to him.

"I love you too, Rachael," he whispered back.

We started making out. His kisses were healing my pain, the pain of knowing that my parents were bad people, the pain of knowing that Dad killed Mark.

I needed his kisses to heal me.

After a few minutes, we stopped our make out session and were now looking at each other with a smile on our faces.

"When should we tell Michael about us?" Ashton asked, his face turned serious.

"I was thinking about next month," I said.

"Next month?!" He asked, a little bit shocked.

"Do you think we should wait for a few more months?" I asked.

"No. Rachael, I don't want to wait for months to tell Michael about us. I won't be able to resist the urge to kiss you for that long."

Hearing him say that he won't be able to resist kissing me brought a smile on my face.

"Why don't we tell him next week?" Ashton asked.

"I don't know," I said. "If he's his normal self till next week, then we will tell him."

"Okay," Ashton said.

"Now, I want to sleep," I told him and laid my head on his shoulder, closing my eyes. I felt him wrapping his arms around my waist as he put his head on my head. We drifted to sleep.

*****

One week had passed. Everything was back to normal. Michael and I were back to our house. We, Sandra and Ashton used to meet each other daily. We used to hang out at each other's house.

Ashton and I used to kiss whenever we got an opportunity. Sandra knew about us and she was happy for us. We told her everything about how Ashton and I came closer. And when Michael wasn't around, she used to tease us.

Today, after a week, Ashton and Sandra had come at our place. Ashton and I had decided that we would tell Michael about us today. And we had also called Sandra because she was the only one who could stop Michael from punching Ashton. I was hoping that my brother would not go for the punch.

It was evening. We all were sitting in the living room. Ashton and I were sitting together on the sofa while Sandra and Michael sat together on the other sofa.

"Michael, we want to tell you something," I said to my brother.

"What?" he asked. He had no idea what I was about to tell him.

I looked at Ashton. He squeezed my hand in assurance. I looked back at Michael. He was looking at our joint hands confusingly.

I took a deep breath. "Ashton and I are in a relationship," I said. After telling Michael, it felt as if a burden had lifted from my shoulders.

Michael was surprised. Thank God he wasn't angry. "When did this happen?" he asked.

"When we were in the safe house," Ashton answered.

"Did you guys sleep together?" Michael asked both of us.

"What? No!" Ashton and I said immediately. I can't believe that my brother had asked me this question.

"Good," my brother said and nodded his head. He was calm after hearing about us.

"So, will you be okay if Rachael and I are in a relationship?" Ashton asked Michael.

"I won't be okay," Michael started to say and my face fell. "I may seem calm from the outside. But from inside I'm totally freaking out after knowing that my sister and my best friend are in a relationship."

He turned to Ashton, "But, if you and Rachael are happy together, then I don't have a problem. But you have to promise me one thing."

"What?" Ashton asked.

"Don't make out in front of me," Michael said. Ashton, Sandra and I laughed.

Ashton looked at me and gave me a smile. "We won't," he told Michael.

Sandra put her arm around Michael's shoulder and said, "Since Ashton and Rachael will be dating each other, why don't we start dating?"

Michael was about to say something but Sandra shut him by pressing her lips on his. And soon they started kissing each other.

I always wanted them to end up together.

Ashton grabbed my chin and brought my face closer to his face. "Now it's our turn to kiss," he whispered. And we started to kiss each other.

"Don't make out in front of me," Michael said, interrupting our kiss.

Ashton and I just laughed.

"And no sex before you turn nineteen," Michael said to me. My cheeks turned red due to embarrassment. He didn't need to mention about sex in front of Ashton.

"You're embarrassing me, Michael!" I said. "Sandra, take him away!"

"Gladly," Sandra said with a laugh and dragged Michael to his room.

I turned to Ashton. We resumed kissing. From now on, my favorite hobby would be kissing Ashton.

I'm glad that he is my boyfriend. I can't imagine anyone else in his place.

If I hadn't got the opportunity to live with him then he would've been still my crush instead of my boyfriend.

I can go on and on but I would like to concentrate on kissing Ashton.

But there is one last thing that I would like to say. And that is I enjoyed living with my crush.

THE END.
