A full week of work was more exhausting than I thought it would be.
It was a great experience for sure, don't get me wrong, I'm just really glad I have a whole week off to unwind and work on writing.

A working vacation I've been calling it. It's relaxing work but it's work nonetheless.

It was crazy on Friday because of a storm that seemed to come out of nowhere and it looked pretty scary so there was some confusion on where to take the kids as our classroom was getting cleaned/things placed in there for the weekend.

Then yesterday, we were all ready to go up north with all our cats when the van started to bleed heavily. Turns out the line for the transmission sprang a leak and (red) transmission fluid was spraying out.

We said that it started to bleed as a joke.

It took about four-five hours to fix. We left for the cabin around seven in the evening, made multiple stops, and arrived at midnight.

I didn't end up going to bed until two in the morning.

As for today, we drove two hours west to visit and meet some family I have not seen since my graduation party in 2017. I also had the pleasure of seeing my autistic aunt again who congratulated me on beating my dad at a race (that he started and then almost immediately tripped and fell during).

And for the second time this past week I was asked if I had a boyfriend (the answer is no, I do not have a boyfriend), and had some really cool conversations for over six hours (and got to meet an adorable 8 month old silver lab!).

Now, I'm sitting in the cabin, drinking alcohol, and hanging out with cats while everyone else is outside.

P.S. I am beyond tired.
