Panic attacks aren't always clear.

Sometimes you move and the feeling of cold hands gripping your lungs or heart come as suddenly as they go.

Beats from the heart spike when the cold feeling washes over you.

Breathing once thought to be natural and easy turn labored and harsh.

The feeling of leaving your body, floating away without the familiar weight of fear.

Then, the weight settles down in your stomach. Heart seizes in fear. Head pounds from the constant throbbing.

Noises, the presence of other people, and the uncomfortable warmth spreading overwhelms the body.

Thoughts don't necessarily race, only the process of thought speeds up, not being able to grasp anything real.

That was my panic attack not even an hour ago.

The feeling of my lungs being squeezed, my stomach flipping to the point of puking, and the weightlessness of almost passing out.

Those were my problems in the last two hours.

Hopefully, I don't have any nightmares tonight...
