My Sister's Rabbit
Picture of Doc last year.
I wanted to tell everyone that it seems my family is losing another family member (pet).
This time it's my littler sister's rabbit, Doc.
He's three and is very weak. When Cinnamon (my one and a half year old rabbit) had passed (November 2015) he wasn't too weak like Doc is now.
My sister is taking it hard, but that's what happens when you open your heart for an animal. Animals don't live as long as humans and it hurts when you get pet after pet and they still pass before you do.
The lifespan depends on SO many things and you can't help animals as easy as helping humans.
It's crazy that I want to help animals more than other people. Maybe because I have seen animal after animal pass in my life.
Some were my own and it's not like a fish, because fish don't life as long as fur animals.
Anyway, just wanted to write it, seeing as writing helps my mental health.
I shouldn't bottle this in, but I have already broke down too many times in the past.
I can't break down any more. Not now.
Not when I may never stop.
It's stupid of me to hold it in, but I can't let it out anymore. It's too exhausting.
I do know that we ALL can get through this hard time. Tonight we will all decide if we will put him down.
After he passes, we will do what we always do. My dad will read a poem called 'Rainbow Bridge'. Doc will most likely be buried out in the yard where Snowflake (my first rabbit. She died in 2012.) and Cinnamon are.
I love this picture, because life is full of pain. Sometimes with animals you need to put them out of their misery.
It's sad for ending a life, though in cases like this it's in humane to let them suffer.
For everyone who may be suffering from a death, always know you can talk to me. At least to talk to somebody who has gone through this, or someone who can help.
It's not a sign of weakness, it's a sign of strength. Emitting you need help is a great way to overcome and get through something.
Death is a big part of life. And, life is full of pain. No matter what you are going through know that they are others who have overcome the same challenges.
