I have successfully completed my first week! I am getting super excited!

It's been a little of an adjustment to get a feel for each class and how things are going to happen while COVID is still a thing.

Day 4 was great! I started my favorite class (as of now)! I feel better now that I finished my first week in the Vet Tech program!

And now for the reason that this is three days (ish) late; I went up north. Not only that, but I went up north for a girls' weekend (with Grey)!

I know that I mentioned it before, although I wanted to explain it in more detail.

There were eight of us up there (plus Grey). My mom, grandma, aunt (someone I see as an aunt, two friends of my mom's and their daughters.

As we were going up we stopped to get food and then two stores that we (my family) consider landmarks for the way up. While in one of the stores, I was looking for a beach towel (because I never got one when I grew out of the small kids one that I got while in middle school (it was from a luncheon that my mom, sisters, and I did) ). I didn't end up finding one, instead, I found a life jacket for Grey. I was wanting to get on when we go on boat/2 person paddleboard (something I want to do later!) rides.

So that was a great thing that happened!

Then on Friday, we had our pontoon ride where we played a drinking game. It was pretty great. I loved being able to swim around in my new swimsuit and water shoes! Plus, Grey jumped (my aunt actually pushed him in when he hesitated too much, it was great!) in and swam with me.

We decided to finish early and that's when the rain came. We went to the local gas station/store to look at what they had.

He did really well on the boat ride, which is a relief as I would love to take him paddleboarding! I also did some school work.

On Saturday, we spent the whole day at the cabin playing games, talking, and drinking.

I did some more school work, we played scramble (I won!), and had a fire.

A doe came out of the woods across from my grandparents' cabin and we could see it from our cabin's backyard. I don't understand how the doe was able to walk across the street as we were making so much noise talking and laughing.

I only noticed it because Grey was staring at a fixed point too long for it to be normal behavior. He wasn't responding to me either.

Once we all noticed her and she ran, he tried going after her. I am so glad that I had him tired up. I'm grateful that it held him back from taking off.

A while later I went inside with him because he wasn't settling down (he had been acting strange, wasn't eating, and constantly on alert/wouldn't rest) and I was getting eaten alive.

I tried finishing my school work, it wasn't working.

I was called to a game of Yahtzee (I didn't win), then crushed it at Cards Against Humanity, and all the while we were spending time together while drinking.

It was so weird, but I know I should have felt something from all the drinks that I had, and I didn't feel buzzed at all.

I just had to pee every five seconds because I drank too much without eating. Oops?

Grey started to eat a little more.

As for today, I woke up, had pancakes and bacon for breakfast, we figured out that Grey was acting like a guard dog who couldn't stop to eat while on the job (he started to eat more after we came to that conclusion and he's good now), we went to another landmark where I bought a wooden howling wolf figurine and my first shot glass (I might start collecting them), revisited the two stores we went to on the way up north, we stopped to get gas, our group then went separate ways, we dropped off my grandma to her house, then went home.

It was a fun weekend, it just a short trip. We couldn't stay longer than Thursday-Sunday as I have school tomorrow and there isn't internet up north.

Once we were home, we unpacked, I took a quick shower, I finished school work, and I've been chilling as I caught up on all the YouTube videos that I have missed.

The best part? Even though I didn't bring Trixie up north, she's laying on my bed with me as if I never left.

How did I get so lucky?

The next update might be tomorrow or on Tuesday.

As for Tuesday, I WILL OFFICIALLY BE 21!!
