What a day!

I woke up at 9 with a tired Trixie and Grey. I took a shower, ate a quick breakfast, and read a mass message that was sent to my terminology course by our instructor.

Apparently, (and us students we're not at fault for this as there was no mention of it before or direction until today - a whole week after the course started) to receive our certificates for the course we need to complete (and pass with at least a 70%) all 7 units along with their quizzes, participate in the discussion questions, and then complete week summaries.

I had seen the tab for week summaries, but there weren't any instructions to them until today!

So, I rushed to see if there any instructions now, and thankfully there were so I didn't need to email my instructor.

Basically, the week summaries consist of what we might of the week and what we learned.

I completed week 1 summary this morning and then completed unit five and it's corresponding quiz.

I decided to take a break as I have the rest of the week to complete the rest of the units.

Well, my older sister came over and I didn't get back to doing school work until after 8 in the evening.

This afternoon, however, I was able to get my hair cut. After losing six inches, my hair is resting on my shoulders instead of below my shoulder blades.

Unfortunately, I would like it to be shorter, at least in the front. And we have come to the conclusion that my "baby hairs" on the back of my head should be shaved down as they are out of control.

I have gone this short before, pretty recently in fact, about a year ago?

I remember my hair being this short for my birthday last year I believe - nevermind. I just checked and it was two years ago when I last cut my hair this short.

I knew that it was this length during my birthday, but two years ago?! Wow! And that was a fun day too.

Anyway, I got my long hair cut (I like to say chopped off because I want to not have to deal with a lot of hair for the next two years), spent time with my family, helped do preparations for my sister's graduation party, and completed almost all of the work needed to receive my terminology course certificate.

Between 8:30-11:30, I was able to sit down and finish units six and seven. I passed their quizzes and did the week two discussion question. The only thing left to do is week two's summary. I'm going to do that tomorrow as I am not mentally capable to write a few paragraphs for my summary.

I was going to space the remaining work throughout this week (the course doesn't end until Sunday before midnight), but my mom needs my help with the graduation party so I figured I could finish as much as possible as soon as possible.

Plus, the party is on Saturday and on Sunday I have an all-day Birch Run trip for my cousin's birthday which I am so excited for!

Originally, my plan was to finish the coursework for terminology before Saturday. Only now, we have a family friend grad party on Friday. We also have to go grocery shopping on Friday which means my chore day will be set back another day.

I'm hoping I'll be able to clean up (litter box, cage, and backyard) after all of my animals on Thursday. Do laundry on Friday in between shopping and the graduation party (it's possible as I've done it before). And worst-case scenario, I'll do laundry on Thursday. It's not ideal for me as that messes up a few schedules of mine, but I'm flexible.

With the amount of prep, grad party shopping, and general running around we will be doing between tomorrow and Friday, I figured getting all the unit work out of the way tonight was better as I don't have to worry about it anymore.

Tomorrow, I will do the summary, I have to make a phone call for something (the last thing on my things that need to be turned in by August 16th!), and help my mom with crunch week.

Along the way, I hope to write!

When I was going through my writing binder a few weeks back, I stumbled upon this piece of paper that held an idea. I had it when I was reading something that my counselor recommended to me. I didn't really know what to do with the idea, so I wrote a simple paragraph as an outline, then tossed in my binder that hadn't been organized in years.

Well, I took it out, thought about it, and while I was doing some school work (because what else would I be thinking about while doing school work) it hit me!

The idea manifested into a short story and now I want to write it. No excuses.

I also really need to work more on The Personal Secret.

I'm hoping to work on The Unknown Assassin of Chaos, The Personal Secret, and this new idea (currently working on the title) within this next month or maybe while I'm in school? I'm not sure yet, but I WILL get them written and published.

So, yeah, that's my update for school and writing. I'll be sure to get writing updates as I love to go back to reread this book from time to time.

Another note for my future self: YOU WERE OBSESSED WITH THE SONG CITY OF ANGELS! Literally, have been belting it out all weekend! I love this song so much!

Also, remember that letter for Christmas back in middle school? Yeah, let's not have a repeat of that.

Although, technically wouldn't this be counted as something like that? You know what, I'm just gonna go to bed.

It's late, this is officially getting long, and I have a long week ahead of me.

...now I have no idea on how to end this.
