I'M SO SORRYYY! I'm literally terrible! I'm a horrible human being! I'm so sorry I just have had the worst writers block and I have no idea what to do! But its already summer time so I REALLY need to try to update more often. I'm so sorry! But I am making it up to you guys by this chapter cuz literally so much adrienette. You all are going to be squealing and yelling at me in the end of this chapter. Pls don't hate me. Also listen to "traitor" pls its the best. Olivia Rodrigo is queen.

'What to do now?'

      Adrien thought as he was trying to fall asleep. It had been a VERY long day. He had the gala and figured out Kagami isn't Ladybug. But he also didn't know what he felt about Marinette. He was just so confused and overwhelmed that he didn't know what was going on and what he should do. He lay awake for so long that he saw it was already 2 am when he checked the time. So he decided to go check if Marinette was awake. When Adrien approached her door, he saw light from the bottom and figured she was awake. So he knocked on the door.

     Over in Marinette's room, she had just ended her phone call with Alya and Ella. She was also really happy so she put on her airpods and started playing music. She played Olivia Rodrigo's new SOUR album and sang along while on her bed. She was so into the song "Traitor" that she didn't hear when someone knocked on her door and when someone entered her room.

      Adrien waited outside and didn't know why Marinette wasn't answering. So he just decided to enter her room. Once he entered he saw Marinette on her bed with her eyes closed singing a song. He just stood starstruck in the doorway of her room listening to Marinette's beautiful voice. He had never heard anyone sing like that and didn't know how to react. Marinette turned around and saw Adrien looking at her.

"Ahh! Adrien w-what are you d-doing here? And did you hear me sing?"

"Uhhh sorry Marinette. It's that I couldn't fall asleep and I just wanted to check if you were awake. I guess you didn't hear me knock. I entered about 2 minutes ago."

"Oh my gosh. Sorry about my singing I know it's terrible!"

Adrien went next to her and whispered in her ear.

"No don't apologize, its the best singing I have ever heard"

        Marinette blushed crimson red and was absolutely speechless. Had Adrien really just told her she was the best singer he had ever heard!? Marinette didn't know what to say so she just went with, "T-thanks heh" Then when Adrien stepped away and she had room to breathe again, Marinette asked him.

"So uh why can't you fall asleep?"

"Rough day..."

"Oh yeah, I heard you and Kagami broke up. How are you doing?"

Adrien didn't really know how to answer that question since he didn't think he could tell her about the 'I'm-actually-in-love-with-ladybug-and-I-thought-Kagami-was-Ladybug-but-it-turns-out-she-lied-to-me' situation. So he just said.

"Well she lied to me about uhh something big and I found out through uhh someone else so I got mad and broke up with her."

"Oh.....so um do you just want to talk or something until we both get tired?'

"Yeah, thanks Mari."

They talked about their hopes and dreams, their favorite things, and just anything they could really think of talking about. But things started going back into the Adrien breakup conversation.

"Uh so Adrien, I know you might not want to talk about this yet but what really happened? Why did you want to date Kagami? Did you just have a crush on her or something?"

Adrien started getting a little uncomfortable.

"Uhm I'd rather not talk about it--seriously."

"Ok but let me ask you this. Have you ever started liking 2 people at once but you didn't know you liked one of them until later?"

"Well, I-uh don't really know...Why do you ask?

"Oh no reason it's that I started reading this book series called "Keeper of the Lost Cities" (ANY KOTLC FANS? CUZ I'M SERIOUSLY OBSESSED WITH THE BOOKS. ALSO, SOKEEFE FOR LIFE! Any Sokeefe shippers?) And anyway in the books they talk about this "Heart and Mind theory" that I think makes perfect sense. Let me give you an Idea. Say you like this girl and you get along ok and start dating. But its really awkward between you two. Like when you see each other you mostly freeze and don't know how to react. But there is this other girl that you can literally tell anything to and that's the first person you call or text when theirs big news and you trust them. So in your mind, you have a crush on the girl you dating but in your heart, you are actually in love with the friend that you would trust with your life. It makes sense since in your mind you push away feelings you don't like, but encourage feelings you do like. That's basically how the theory is but there are also other factors and stuff."

Adrien didn't know how to respond to that, since he wasn't sure if any of that had happened to him in the past. So he actually started thinking about is feelings (for the first freaking time you BLIND BLONDE!) But couldn't really come up with an answer.

"I-uhm, don't really know. I should probably think about that more...thanks for telling me Marinette."

       By then it was already 6 am and they could see through Marinette's window the beautiful sunrise. They looked at the same direction of where the sun was coming from and just stared at the sunrise together. Both of them turned to face eachother at the same time and realized how close their faces were. They both started leaning in as the sun  got all the way up. And as their lips were about to touch (yall are gonna hate me for this) Natalie knocked on the door and opened it saying, "Adrien there you are. Did you forget about your early photoshoot that starts at 7. Hurry up your going to be late. Your father won't be happy about this."

      Adrien jumped out of the bed and apologized, rushing towards his bedroom. "Oh and Marinette." Natalie said. "Gabriel would like you to attend the photoshoot aswell. He wants to see your opinions as a designer and he thought it would be nice for Adrien to have his girlfriend there." Marinette's mouth hung ajar. "No no no! Me and Adrien aren't dating we are just friends!" Natalie responded by saying, "Ok Miss Marinette, change quickly since we are leaving soon." With that Natalie left and Marinette decided to change for the photoshoot. This was going to be a long day...

HEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY! I know you hate me! But you also love me! And I'm so sorry I haven't posted in over 2 months! I'm literally the worst. But this took me forever to do and I swear I will write more often! Also...are there any KOTLC fans? Cuz seriously like I love those books. And now sokeefe is my second favorite ship of all time. After adrienette ofc. I really hope you guys liked the chapter and I will be posting more often!
