Jason's POV

I change the channel on the TV then takes another swig of beer and turn the TV off as I see Alex walk in with tears streaming down her face.

I go up to her and she looks at me, "Jason, I want to forget." She says looking at the beer in my hand and I look at her sympathetically and nod.

"Ok, help yourself." I say then watch her as she goes to the fridge and takes out a bottle of beer and starts to drink with tears still streaming down her face. I sit back down then watch as she drink more bottles, one after the other until I fall asleep on the couch.

I wake up when I hear movement in the kitchen and see Dick tidying up tons of beer bottles that were lying around. I look down beside me and see Alex is sleeping cuddled into me.

"Good afternoon." Dick says as I get up without waking Alex and walk towards him then lean against the counter once I feel the pain at the back of my head close my eyes and wince, "yeah that's what you get for drinking until you pass out. Goes for the both of you." Dick says looking at Alex and I sigh, I shouldn't have let Alex use alcohol as an antidepressant like I do. I don't want her to become like me, having to drink to feel better.

Alex stirs then wakes up and groans, "my head..." She winces sitting up and I walk up to her, "Jason what happened, I don't remember?" She asks me then looks at Dick, "who's that?"

"You drunk a little too much last night and this is Dick, my....friend." I say and Dick nods.

"Yeah, we go way back." He smiles and I roll my eyes.

I then look at Alex, "Need help getting to bed?" I ask Alex who stands up holding her head.

"I'm ok..." She says wounding completely hung over and I smile as I watch her find her way to her room and as usual her door is open.

"She's cute." Dick says, "you like her too." He adds and I look at him and shake my head

"I don't like her, she's 17 and she's my housemate." I say looking at Dick.

Dick shrugs, "I'm 20, Barbara is 23, it's not that much of an age gap-"

"Dick even if I did like her it's bad timing." I say and he looks at me.

"So you do like her." He says and I look down making him smile, "you've totally fallen for her in who many days? 4? 5?" He asks and I close my eyes annoyed.

"Dick just get out if you're going to annoy me, I'm hungover and am not up for you making me annoyed." I say then stand up.

"Where are you going?" He asks and I point to my room.

"Bed." I answer and he laughs before following me into my room. I lie down, close my eyes then instantly pass out from my throbbing head and fall asleep.
