Scarlett's P.O.V.

"It's over for you, Issac." Ed stood above him with a smirk. "You have no water to use." That's where Edward is wrong. What is the human body mostly made of?

"Sure I have water. All 80% of it!!" I saw him fling his hand out, and deep red icicles protruded out at Edward.

"Watch out ED!!" I yelled and pushed to cover him with my own body. Sorry, Ed, I know that must look weird to you, but instincts are instincts. In any sense, I was lucky I wasn't impaled, and Ed seemed safe as ever before I raced after Issac MacDougal -who was at this moment taking off down another alley- while Edward called my name.

"Still don't know who you are!" I chuckled to myself darkly.

"You used to." I mumbled to no one in particular. Damn! Where is he? Before I knew it, I wasn't looking where the Mac-Noodle was going and now I've lost him! Oh. Hey. I turned the corner just in time to see the blood from his body deep into his clothes as he fell forward. Dead. Blood painted the cobblestone.

"Ah, Scarlett Reems. Never thought I'd see you here." A chill ran up my spine, and I slowly raised my head to meet the Furer's
gaze. How did he know me?

"What...are you?" I asked. I could see Bradley smile. "What are y-" I stopped in mid-sentence. It has to be, that this world has many things in common.

"Homunculus."

"And the girl gets a prize." Bradley replied in a sneer tone. I turned my shoulder sharper in his direction, and let a distasteful look take my face. He had the same mark as the other Bradley, but this one had a different personality lineup. I could tell.

The other one kept his calm no matter what, while this one was erratic more often.
Narrowing my eyes, the rain as the only thing separating us.

"Yo! Lady!" I heard Edward and Al racing toward the two of us, anger on their faces. "You can't simply show up, then leave!!" He yelled. I chuckled, put a smirk on my face, and crossed my arms.

"Pfft. You don't control me. SHRIMP." I teased as he exploded right there on sight. After the whole explanation from Bradley, Alphonse invited me to accompany them to HQ, which I hastily agreed to. Now that I've found them, I ain't letting go that easily.

"Ah, Full Metal. How was the chase?" Roy asked as we entered the room. He looked us all over, and seemed to recognize me from earlier because he said.

"What is the civilian girl going here? Your new girlfriend, Ed?" I couldn't help but chuckle as his face went red. I couldn't help but laugh as a dark aura surrounded us both.

"Say that again?" I threatened him with a smile. He withdrew to his seat and hid his face behind Hawkeye. Sissy. We then talked about the Elric brother's plan to go to Liore. Hey! Isn't that what the other Elric brothers did too?

Speaking of others, I wonder if those Tringham boys are also in this world. That'd be cool.

"So it's the beginning that never was..." I murmured to myself, and just as Ed was about to ask me something, the door slammed open to show-

"HELLO ELRIC BROTHERS!!" A smirk set upon Maes Hughes's face. Much like the one I had at first glance of him at the age of six. I couldn't help but smile as he approached us. I'm SO glad he's alive. And in gonna keep it that way if it kills me....again.

"I've heard so much about you!" He shook Alphonse's hand. Oh no... "wow, you sure live up to your name." More like a 'short' lived reputation. Of course, Ed began brewing from his seat next to me.

"Um, Roy- er, sir?" I addressed him, "I was wondering. Could I be permitted to join the Elric brothers to Liore?"

"Huh? Why are you asking me? You're a citizen. But if you're asking for military resources to be open to you, then no." My face fell. I needed that access, and not just slightly.

"But, I have a State Alchemist ranking- and not to mention the rank of a general." I rambled on. I just now realized the whole room was totally quiet when I said that.

"Let me see." Roy widened his eyes as I took out my pocket watch. "It seems you are, strange enough, now may I ask what your name is?" I couldn't help but grin at the question.

"Simply call me The Black Shadow Alchemist." I cheerfully replied.

Well, Hughes INSISTED that we stay at his house for the night, so all three of us trekked to the large house. Ed gawked up at the two story house, and I smiled. Damn, I've gotta stop seeing him as MY Ed. So I shook the smile off and put on a neutral face.

"Daddy!!" OMG ITS ELICIA!! Ah, good memories. She jumped into her father's arms and giggled as he rubbed his own fought cheek on her own.

"Elicia, these are the Elric brothers and - um, I'm sorry, what's your real name?" He asked sheepishly.

"Scarlett. Scarlett Reems." I shook Gracia's hand in the doorway as she pushed her chestnut bangs out of her eyes. I felt a tug on my coat, and I grinned down at Elicia. She ten looked from me, to Ed, to Al.

"Big bwother," she pointed to Alphonse, "little bwother," she pointed to Ed, rather bluntly, if I had to say. I was on the verge of laughing when Elicia took my hand in her own. "Little bwother's girl!" She smiled triumphantly as I blushed.

"Not really," I coughed, "but if you want, you can call me sister." Her smile only grew as she pulled me excitedly into the house. Oh. Alright, I guess I'm staying.

"Look here. My name is Edward Elric. And this is my younger brother Alphonse. Get it? YOUNGER." He drawled onward. Anger easily shown in his face.

"But younger means little. You're little!" She replied.

"HAHAHAHA! TAKE THAT SHRIMP!" I laughed maniacally. He had to be carried inside by Alphonse to keep him from lashing out and trying to kick my ass. The rest of the night went smoothly, and we were assigned to our rooms. Due to me apparently joining in a 'sisterhood' with Elicia, she wouldn't go anywhere without me.

Meaning, I had to sleep on a mattress on her floor.

Meh. Didn't bother me much. Actually was pretty comfortable. Though, an hour into the quiet abyss, there was a creak from the shadows.

"Scarlett?" I heard Edward creep into the room. I sat up, and shushed him as Elicia turned in bed.

"What's up?" I asked quietly.

"Who are you?" He snapped defensively.

...What?

My mind must be a bit slow, because I simply stated him in the eyes softly as he creeped closer.

"I am Scarlett Re-"

"I don't give a shit about the obvious answer. Tell me why," he paused for a moment; shifting his eyes to Elicia's sleeping body. "-why is it when I touched your hand, I got dizzy, and these memories filled my head; some I've never had of you."

"Like what?"

"Like, you dying. In my arms." My eyes widened. How could he know that?!? I directed my vision downward and away.

"Simply forget that. You were probably stressed, and so your mind simply popped a scenario into your head. It was simply an illusion." It pained me to lie right to his face, but I didn't want him to remember the pain. The hurt of saving Alphonse at the cost of my own life.

"But-!"

"Goodnight, Edward Elric." With that, he huffed, and crept back out the door. I then laid down for a night of a dark, dreamless void until the day crept up again.

We were off to Liore! YAY! I get to be at the beginning of their adventure!! Elicia clinger to my waist at the train station as everyone began boarding. I patted her head, and entered the train car after Alphonse.

"You three be good, and stay out of trouble!" Hughes gave me a thumbs up with a smile as we began to roll out. And there we were; on a train bound to a city of God.

CLICK!

"What the hell was that?" Ed snapped his head up from his slumped position and gave me a good long stare. I held a camera and a smile as the photo began to appear in my hand.

"Simply a picture." I replied, looking down at the cool colors of the rising sun as it set upon Ed's golden hair and Alphonse's armor. It was truly a picture I'd keep forever.

Yeah! Two chapters done! Not to mention two exams at school. Now I only have four more. TT-TT dear Ryuk help me.
