It had been three years since Kanan and Hera had died.

The second Death Star had been blown up, and the Empire was done for.

Zaks home with the Rebellion had been destroyed in the process, and he had no where to turn.

Because Sabine and Ezra shared Sabines room, and Mira had Zebs room, there were still two more left. Kanan and Heras.

Zak took Kanans old room and became one of the crew.

Mira and Zak had been getting closer, and as Mira approached her 16th birthday she had one wish.

A date with Zak.

Sabine had convinced Ezra to stop being overprotective, and he had finally come to terms with the fact that his daughter was growing up, and was going to be dating.

She convinced, or more like threatened him. Either one.

Reybel had gone back to her world shortly after (although she had given Mira her comm frequency and they kept in touch)

Ezra decided to have a chat with Zak.

"Zak?" Ezra called down the hall.

Zak walked out of his room.

"Yes?" He asked.

Ezra motioned for him to come closer.

Zak walked toward Ezra a little cautiously.

Ezra didn't really want him living in the Ghost to begin with. Sabine was the one who allowed it (and she was the owner of the ship according to Heras' last words)

"Look I know you like Mira." Ezra said, just jumping right to it.

Zak blushed "Uhhhhh I-uh....I mean I do...I mean no.....I mean-" Ezra cut him off.

"We all know. We know Mira likes you too."

Zak blushed again.

"Do you wanna ask her out?" Ezra asked, crossing his arms.

"I....I mean....I-" he was cut off.

"You can. I...." Ezra sighed and grumbled "I approve of it."

"Wait really? You won't kill me?" Zak asked surprised.

"Sabine kinda reminded you that when I was 14 I was dating her and wanted to marry her from day one....so..." Ezra said, awkwardly.

Zak tried to hold back laughter and failed.

Sabine, who had been secretly watching from the door laughed too.

"It's true. He was hilarious actually." She replied, laughing more.

Ezra facepalmed.

"Go for it Zak. I'm sure that's exactly what Mira would like to do this weekend, for her birthday. I say you ask her now!" Sabine urged.

In her mind she thought "Plus this gives us time to go shopping for a dress!"

Zak took a deep breath.

And then nodded.

Sabine squeaked.

Ezra took a deep breath, trying to accept this.

Zak walked down the hall to Miras' room.

"Get the holo recorder." Sabine said, nudging Ezra.

"What?! I don't ship this you do!" He exclaimed.

"Oh come on. You take after Kanan." She said, smiling a little sadly in memory.

He hesitated a moment.

And then grabbed the holo recorder from a nearby shelf and began recording.

Zak knocked on Miras' door.

He took a deep breath as she opened it.

Miras' long back hair had been cut to shoulder length.

She was taller now, and more mature.

Sabine had put a few pink streaks in her hair.

Zak thought she looked beautiful.

"Hey Zak." Mira said smiling "What's up?" She asked, leaning against the door way.

"Uhhh it's just your birthday is this weekend and I was wondering if you....I mean if we...uh I...umm......if you wanted....." he stumbled over his worlds.

Chopper slowly rolled up behind him, holding up a sign that said "Mira would you like to do on a date with Zak?"

Mira blushed and quietly laughed.

"W-what's so funny?" Zak asked, worrying he'd done something wrong.

"I'd love to go on a date with you Zak." Mira said, blushing.

Zak was startled and then turned around to see Chopper.

He facepalmed.

Sabine squealed.

But not as loud as Ezra did (honestly the fact that his voice could sound higher than Sabines, worried them all sometimes)

"Oh my gosh you recorded it didn't you? This is like all the recordings of you guys than I got from Hera and Kanan!" Mira said, blushing and laughing.

"Wait you have recordings of that?" Ezra asked, embarrassed.

"Yea you do? I'd love to see those." Zak said, laughing as well.

Mira pulled out a stack of tapes and then dragged Zak into the common room to watch them.

Sabine and Ezra watched from the doorway, realizing that their daughter was growing up fast.

Awwww guys look. I wrote happiness for once! Isn't this amazing? I can be nice after all 😂😂😂 but yea you're gonna get some Zira now, before this book comes to a close and we get a sequel 😏 you just wait and see.
