Testimony II

As soon as classes are over, I immediately went to the back of the school.

At the back of the school, I looked around and search for Lily. But no sign of her.

"Tristan Ford?" Someone called.

I flinched and looked to my left. It was just Angelica with a book on her hand.

"Oh, it's just you." I said.

"Are you waiting for someone?" She asked.

"No!" I lied.

She looked at me suspiciously, "Waiting for a spirit named Lily?" She guessed.

My eyes widened, "How the hell did you know?" I asked.

She smiled at me, "I have sixth sense. I can see spirits. Lily is my friend.--" she replied, "So, how long do you have that crucifix?" She asked.

"Since I was a kid. A girl gave it to me in my dream and it was already around my neck when I woke up." I explained.

She stood up, "Lily told you to meet her here?" She guessed.

I nod my head.

"Follow me." She said and started walking away farther from theback of the school heading to the forest.

I followed.

She stopped infront of a big tall tree. She turned to me, "You'll meet her here." She said as she smiles.

I looked at her puzzled, "Where is she?" I asked.

A bright light blinds my eyes, lighting up the dark forest. I covered my eyes as I jerked around to recover my vision.

As soon as the light disappears, the first person standing infront of me, was a spirit whom saved me earlier. Lily. She was unmasked and her face was uncovered. The Lily I knew, was none othe than Angelica.

"I was masked that time to keep my identity safe." She said as she puts on her mask, "And to wait for the time we meet again, Tristan Ford." She winked at me as if a sign that it must be a secret.

My jaw ajar for a moment. In that moment, she turned back to her previous look.

I woke from my trance and spoke, "So you're the spirt being rumored about?" I asked.

She nodded.

"Why did you save me? Mark said that you didn't save the previous new students." I said.

She looked at me proudly, "I am not their spirit guardian, and my only job is to protect the keeper life and death stone." She answered.

"Life and Death stone?" I mumured.

She walked towards me and pulled out the crucifix hiding underneath my polo. "This is the stone of life and death. You have been chosen as a keeper and to protect it." She explained, "Once it falls to the wrong hands, the person could bring the dead back to life and can bring the life to dead." She added.

I widened my eyes from shock.

"It's getting late. See you tomorrow, Mister Ford." She said and left.

I walked all the way home, the thought about as a keeper of life and death stone stuck in my mind.

I sighed as I entered my apartment. "A keeper? Life and Death Stone." I thought.

I gripped a part of my hair and shook my head, "What in the world is happening in my life?!" I cried, "I knew it! I'm crazy! I should be at the mental hospital right now!"

I suddenly heard a loud noise from my room. I quickly ran to my room and to my surprise, a man with long silver grey hair was there throwing my things anywhere.

The man has three eyes. Two on both sides of his face, then one is on the forehead. Each eye has a red mark underneath it. A long red robe he wore and doesn't have any feet. He floated in the midair as he kept on moving to one corner of the room to another.

"Hey, who the heck are you?!" I shrieked.

The man turned to me, "I am your worst nightmare!" He exclaimed as he jumped towards me. I jumped away to dodge him. The man was quick. He was able to pounce on me like a tiger and growled.

"The stone of Life and Death." He said as he touches the chain that is holding the stone. He held for a few seconds and was about to take it off my neck. He screams in pain and slowly turns to ashes as the ashes are blown away by the wind towards the window.

I stood up and ran to the window.

"Your training starts tonight." Someone said.

I turned around to see the same spirit who saved me earlier. She was dressed up in her spirit warrior uniform. "Lily or Angelica? Which name should I call you?" I said in a rising-falling intonation.

"Call me Angelica when I am a student, Lily as a spirit." She replied, "Training starts tonight" she added.

I looked at her puzzled, "Training?". "Training for you to protect the stone and how to use your magic." She answered.

Magic? I have magic?

"I'm magical now and I have magic?" I asked.

She shook her head, "You're not magical yet but you have magic. And only you can channel it." She explained, "Training is required in order for you activate your magic and open gate of your magic. And the only person who can help you activate us your spirit guardian and trainer, which is me, myself." She added.

Magic......

"Let's see if you can keep up with the rules and lectures, and above all, your destiny." She said as she snaps her fingers.

A wonderous scenario soon surrounded us. If I am not mistaken, it was a garden.

"Mommy!"

That familiar voice.

A young boy soon ran pass by us. Remembering, this must be me when I got lost in the garden.

"Your training will cover a lot of things that happened from your past, a lot of what your future holds. It will also acquire of you protecting the stone, without me." Lily explained, "Once the time comes, you, yourself will have to kill me. On your own, you will protect the stone by yourself without me. We have to rush this a bit, especially Demi knows your location. In order for you not to be tracked down, once the time is right, you will cut ties with me." She added.

Too much information, really.

"The stone will tell you when it will be the time for you to look for the next keeper of the Life and Death stone. You'll be the one to choose who and you must choose wisely." She said.

"Wait, what?" I was confused.

She sighed in disbelief, "Your first training is, to use your vision and fighting skills." She said, "The time when you got lost in this garden, there were creatures hunting you. Your goal is to use your vision magic, and fight them." She added.

Wait, there were monsters in this garden?

"How come I am not eaten that time?" I asked in disbelief.

"A girl who was masked that time was watching over you and was the one who is killing the monsters." She replied, "Do not worry, this will not affect the time now and your memories. These are all illusions, but they might look real." She added.

I nod my head.

"Now get to work! Don't be distracted. I'll be watching over you, see you after this training." She said and left.

"Wait, you're not coming....never mind." I said and started walking.

Looks like, this is where my real life begins.
