Tubbo paced back and forth in the white house, processing all the recent events.

His eyes were red and puffy from crying, Your Tommy laying on his desk still broken.

So many things had happened in such a short amount of time and he felt completely overwhelmed.

How was he supposed to react?

Suck it all up to guide L'Manburg in that moment of need or was he going to be a kid for once in his life lock himself away and cry until the pain of Tommy's loss would finally wash away?

Only one of the two options seemed appealing to him, but only the other one was doable.

Luckily he wasn't completely alone, even though after Tommy's death he felt like he was.

Ranboo was also pretty good friends with him and he was literally the one who found the letter, and from that point he had changed rather drastically from a very nervous person to a brave and more confident one.

Tubbo admired him for his ability to grow over that tragedy, but being the one who caused it in the first place, he didn't find it that easy, so he tried the best way to cope he could find: work (write) as if he was running out of time (I'm so sorry for this but for some reason I have this song stuck in my head now, btw I've never watched Hamilton in my entire life)

Speaking of friends, Quackity was actually in the room with Tubbo, but he wasn't really keeping him that much company since he was just spacing off constantly.

Apparently the others had thought it would've been a good idea if he was supervised by someone at all times.

He wondered if they expected him to take off and pick a fight with Dream, which was something he definitely wanted to do, don't get him wrong, but at least he could say he wasn't mad enough to do what could only be considered as a suicide mission.

Suddenly the sound of someone knocking on the door pushed him out of his thoughts.

"Quackity could you get that for me?" The older player nodded and went to open the door, except that before he had the chance to even touch it, it was immediately broken down with a kick.

"Sorry to barge in like this but you were taking a long time in there." A sarcastic voice chuckled and that was enough to make Tubbo's blood freeze in his veins.

He was expecting to see Dream's silhouette through the door, but instead he saw someone else's.

The mysterious player was wearing a crimson red hoodie, the edge of its sleeve torn from what Tubbo could guess we're different fights he got into, he also has some dark blue pants and the same model of boots that Dream wore, but most prominent of all was his smili- no, his sad mask…?

Dream very quickly pushed the player aside to get in and, before he could say another word, Quackity almost instinctively brought his sword to the other's neck.

The other player barely tilted his head to look at him before starting to talk with his usual playful but threatening tone. "Tsk, tsk, tsk. Really Quackity?" He said before turning slightly towards his follower. "Nightmare, could you...you know…"

Without even nodding or responding in any way, the player got his sword out and in the blink of an eye he had his blade pressing against Tubbo's throat.

"You might not be the brightest player on this server but I know you're not dumb Quackity." It was almost as if the mask's emotionless eyes were tearing a hole right through his soul "I still have all of my lives while Tubbo is on his last one and I can guarantee that if I die, Mr President over there will follow me. Do you really want to risk it?"

Quackity hesitated. He stared at the man standing before him, his shining black blade not leaving the other's throat as the two seemed to have a silent staring contest.

Reluctantly, the raven haired man pulled the weapon away, glaring at Dream with so much hate that if looks could kill the blond would've lost all of his canon lives in less than a second.

"Wise decision." Dream smirked under his mask and turned his attention to Tubbo, still held at gunpoint by the mysterious individual, before letting out what sounded like an overly dramatic gasp. "Oh, how rude of me, I almost forgot the presentations!"

"Tubbo, meet my little friend Nightmare!" Dream stepped closer to them and placed a hand on Nightmare's shoulder, the ladder not even acknowledging him."He's not much of a talker but he gets stuff done so who am I to complain?"

"Why are you helping Dream?! He's just going to use and manipulate you, like he did to the rest of us!" Quackity exclaimed, giving the player a pleading look.

"Oh you can stop that! Nightmare won't give in to pleads and prayers, I've trained him myself after all." Dream replied with his usual creepily carefree tone, he almost seemed proud of the training he had put the other player through.

"Well then, tell him to get that crossbow away from my head!" Tubbo spat, the boy seeming surprisingly collected all things considered.

"Wow, quite demanding for someone who was just threatening me seconds ago, are we?" The older teased, looking quite amused from Tubbo's newly found courage.

"I know you can be an egomaniac but you would never go into battle without your armor on and I'm sure you know pretty well that if you do kill me all the L'manburgians will attack you on sight."

"That honestly sounds like a bit of a stretchy deduction." Dream commented, fidgeting with his fingers in a seemingly innocent way. "... buuut it's actually 100% true! Nightmare, let him go buddy."

With a second of hesitation where the follower's mask stared deep into Tubbo's eyes, Nightmare took his crossbow away from the other's head, immediately walking up to Dream's side as Quackity sprinted forward to see his friend's conditions.

"Good boy!" Dream explained as he patted Nightmare's head like he was some sort of dog, it really wasn't hard to see that Dream didn't have a high opinion of him.

"Why are you here?" Tubbo finally asked in a venomous tone as he gently pushed Quackity away, quietly telling him that he was alright. "You should know better than to show that mask of yours back here, especially after what you did to Tommy."

"Oh yeah, Tommy, I almost forgot about the little brat!" The older commented cheerfully as Nightmare actually turned to look at him. His expression was unreadable of course but that was probably the most emotion he had shown through all of the encounter so far. "So he finally decided to end it all uh? Can't say I didn't expect it but still, I did hoped he would've lasted a little longer."

"What. Did. You. Do."

"Well, I didn't tell him to kill himself, I even stopped him from doing it once! Besides I was probably his only friend so when I became more busy and couldn't visit him constantly he must've become depressed and decided to end it all, I mean it's not like he had anyone else left by his side anyway so I can't really blame him." Dream shrugged.

"You were not his friend, and you'll never be." Quackity exclaimed aggressively, his hands twitching from his desire to punch that teasing smirk off Dream's face.

"I mean he's pretty much dead right now so…"

"You'll pay for this...I'll make you pay for this!" Tubbo suddenly shouted.

"I'd like to see you try!" Dream laughed. "And I'm not even joking, without Tommy around I really need a new pastime you know?"

Enough was enough.

"How dare you!" Tubbo sprang forward, his fist clenched and already raised, but before he could even realize it, Nightmare had already come into action.

The red hooded player blocked Tubbo's punch and slammed the shorter against the wall. Once again, the raven haired had to hold his rather concerning but very much justified homicidal tendencies to aid his friend.

"You have quite the reflexes Tubbo, I'll give you that, but unfortunately they don't mean much when you can't even hit your target." Dream chanted as Nightmare once again walked back to his side.

"Despite how much fun we're having though, I'm afraid I'll have to end this meeting soon enough, I have a very busy schedule you know." Tubbo and Quackity gritted their teeth enraged.

"To cut this short, I just came here to give you a…friendly reminder of how the server works and how you shouldn't get too ahead of yourself and actually plan to kill me or something like that." The older blond said, actually sounding serious for the first time during their whole conversation.

"Look, you're mad about Tommy, I get it, but dude, you literally exiled him and shone him for weeks! You can't just randomly come out and say that you secretly cared about him all this time out of nowhere!" Dream continued, sounding pretty annoyed at the thought of having to deal with a bunch of grieving weaklings who would try to kill him while he was just trying to relax.

"What…?" Quackity was speechless but Tubbo wasn't. "You...you just barged into my office, demanded to see me, literally threatened me and now you're just straight up pissing over Tommy's death?"

"Uh, well it doesn't sound too good when you put it that way but yeah that's pretty much it!" Dream responded nonchalantly.

"You disgust me." Tubbo said bluntly. "You said you don't want anyone to attack you for what you did to Tommy, but I can do you one better!"

After steadying his balance, he walked towards Dream until the two found themselves face to face and just a few inches apart.

"From this moment on Dream, you'll be banned from L'Manburg. You won't be able to take even a single step inside of my country and if anyone just so happens to see you do just that, they'll have my full permission to take every single one of your lives."

Quackity was taken aback by Tubbo's sudden burst of courage, but he went with that nonetheless, his eyes gleaming with some sort of pride. Nightmare just tilted his head slightly.

"Is that so? Do you really want things to go this way?" Dream's eyebrows furrowed under his mask. "You should know how I treat my enemies Tubbo and I doubt that you actually want to be one of them."

"I meant every single thing I said." Tubbo replied. "And I'd be proud to be called your enemy." He then exclaimed, his eyes tearing up slightly.

A few silent seconds passed by, tears still glittering Tubbo's eyes but not managing to fall down and Quackity stared silently at the two masked figures standing before them.

"Very well." Dream finally said, breaking the silence. "If you wish to dig your own grave, I won't stop you." He added as he proceeded to walk towards the door, Nightmare hot on his heels

"But just so you know, I won't have mercy on you." The older mentioned as he stopped dead in his tracks and tilted his head slightly.

"Let's be honest Dream, after what you did to Tommy can you really say that you ever had mercy in the first place?" Quackity bluntly commented.

"Maybe not, but I still thought it was fair to let you know what you are going up against. After all the only thing higher than a L'manburgian's selfishness is their stupidity, Tommy was probably the only one who ever realized it."

With that said, Dream swiftly took an ender pearl out of his inventory, Nightmare doing the same, and the two pearled away before any other word could be spoken.

Tubbo and Quackity stared at the door, none of them daring to break the silence. So many questions whirled inside their minds but none of them were actually voiced.

In the past Tubbo would've absolutely panicked at the thought of battling Dream, but now he had just gone face to face with him and didn't even flinch.

Maybe it was a stupid idea, actually scratch that, it was a stupid idea, but letting Dream getting away with what he had done was definitely out of the question.

He didn't regret his decision one bit.

And he was sure that none of the L'manburgians would be opposed to it either.

There was just one thing that still confused him and troubled him: who was Nightmare?

I'd like to say some more stuff but class literally starts not so bye-
