Me: Praise the Lord!! Let's all praise the Lord right now!!!

Lucy: Why are you so happy today Mia-san? Did you discover another KPop band again?

Cobra: I'm not gonna be surprise if she starts to rant about her Korean boys again.

Me: Hey! That’s not my entire life! But wrong! I discovered something new! And it has two words!

Lucy: New story?

Michelle: New friends?

Midnight: New band?

Cobra: Imaginary boyfriend?

Me: Hey! Leave my love life out of this! But no all of you are wrong! It’s the game Kingdom Hearts! And I can’t wait for the new game Kingdom Hearts 3! It will be so different! Just like this chapter! Let's not waste anytime!! Start the chapter!

She stared back at the mysterious character that is standing by the entrance. She studied his figure. He had his hoodie on his head covering his upper half of his face. His lower half only showed a black mask covering his math. Basically his whole entire face is covered. 

"Lucy-chan.. Do you know that guy?" Angel asked the blonde celestial wizard. Instead of answering, she continued staring at the mysterious man. She was spacing out too much that she didn't realize him coming her way. Her train of thought was cut off when his deep voice was muffled through the mask. "Are you Lucy Heartfilia?" 

She was baffled and caught off guard that he knew who she was. "Y-Yes... And may I know who you are?" She scolded herself in her mind for stuttering. He pulled down his hoodie revealing his upper half of his face. She studied his facial features which was now shown to him. He had onyx eyes and long black hair tied to a braid. His skin was pale, as if he has never been outside for so long. But despite his out of place appearance, he is fairly handsome in Lucy's opinion.

"It's nice to meet you Lucy-san. My name is Kai. I have come here looking for you. I have always wanted to see you in person." He said as he draped his hand on her shoulder. She blushed at the sudden human contact with him. A cough was heard behind and she turned to see Angel with for some reason, an stern look on her face.

"Hi Kai, the name is Angel. Now tell me, exactly how do you know about Lucy? Are you some kind ofstalker of her." She said as she removed his hand off Lucy's shoulder emphasize the word stalker. 'What is up with her?' Lucy thought to herself. 

"Oh no no... I'm no stalker. I just saw her fight in the GMG. I thought she was strong even though she didn't win. Her will to keep on fighting for her guild truly moved me. And I would lie if I said her beauty didn’t capture me attention as well. It’s hard to ignore someone so gorgeous." He said as he stroked Lucy's cheek with the back of his hand. The said mage was blushing profusely and her heart started to beat louder and faster.

Another hand gripped Kai's and pulled it away from the girl. Lucy watched the reflector mage still gripping the newcomer's wrist. Even though his face doesn’t show it, she can see his eyes full of anger and a vein popped up on his forehead. But he wasn't alone. The poison dragon slayer's hand gripped Kai's shoulder and looking at him dead in the eyes.

"Lucy... Do you mind explaining who this person is?" Midnight asked. “And why he is casually flirting with you?” Cobra asked next. Both of their voices dripped with venom, making it seem they are threatening Kai just by their tone. Lucy was flustered by the men's action. She stood up and put her hands on Midnight and Cobra's shoulders, saying to let go of the man. 

They released their grip from him but both of them still glared daggers at him. Lucy sighed and said, "Honestly I don't know this guy completely but from what he told me, his name is Kai. He's here because he wants to meet me in person after fighting in the Grand Magic Games." Despite her explanation, the two still didn't accept him. Kai then said, "Not only that but I came here to join Fairy Tail." 

"WHAT?!!" The three former dark mage's stared at him in shock. Meanwhile Lucy was smiling because a new addition to the Fairy Tail family. "That's great! I can take you to Master right now. Let's go!" Lucy grabbed his hand and lead him to Makarov's office leaving the former Oracion Seis members. 

Cobra and Midnight had a deadly aura around them. Angel wasn't phased at all. She has seen them pissed off a million times but still, she has never seen them this angry. "So what do you guys think? Is he the stalker that four eyes and pedophile was talking about?" The white haired mage asked the two. Instead of answering, they were both silent and still glaring at the direction where Lucy went off with the man.

"His thoughts... I can't hear them." Both Angel and Midnight looked at him in shocked. "You can't? Is something blocking it?" The reflector mage asked him. Cobra shook his head no. "Not something. Someone. In other words, he's blocking his thoughts from me. The question is why?"

Angel sighed and rubbed her temple in exhaustion. "Well this is gonna be a headache..." She looked up and saw Lucy coming back with Kai. She had had a huge smile on her face. "I just had a great idea! Why don't Kai join our own team for awhile? He can quit anytime he wants if he's more comfortable with solo missions or if he finds another team he wants to be with!"

"What?!!" Both Cobra and Midnight shouted at unison. They did not like the idea of this strange man joining their team. A team that has Lucy especially. "Lucy-chan... Are you sure about that?" She smiled back and nodded. "It will be better for him if he stays with me since he knows me a little." The two men gripped their fists tightly and had a displeased look on both of heir faces.

"Let's go on a mission right now! Angel come on, you help me pick a mission." Lucy smiled and pulled the white-haired mage along leaving the three males alone giving a tense atmosphere. No one dared to talk until Kai broke the silence.

"So I heard you are living with Lucy. I don't think she should be with you people." Kai smirked at the two which caused them to glare daggers at him. "And why shouldn't we?" Midnight asked with venom dripping from his tone. "I know your history with Lucy and this guild. You were from the dark guild Oracion Seis. Both of your guilds had a battle in which you almost killed them. The second time your guild fought theirs again, you targeted, kidnapped, used and almost killed Lucy, the poor girl. And here you are again. Living with her. She's probably still having nightmares about the incident over and over. Do you think she still fully trust you?"

Both of them were caught off guard with what he said. They both didn't responded to him, instead started to think deeply to themselves. 'Lucy can't possibly distrust still until now. We are now a family! Right?' Midnight thought as he gripped his jacket. 'This bastard thinks he can play mind games with us. There's no way Lucy thinks of us like that.' Cobra gave a scowled look at the thought of it. The two looked at Lucy who was by the mission boards.

'You still trust us right Lucy?'

"We're back! And we got a job that I think is gonna be fun!" The blonde haired mage smiled with glee as she ran back to the three boys. She held up the request to show it to them. 

Client: Manager of Lovely Life Cafe

I am short on employees at the moment. I would be grateful if mages would come and help me serving, entertaining and making the customers happy. I would be happy if 2 or more people would come here and help me. My cafe is at Crocus near the Sabertooth guild. Please come and meet me at 7 am by Monday.

"Today is a Sunday and it takes some time to go there by train. We can go in a few hours and rent a hotel and stay for that day.” The group nodded in agreement making Lucy smile even more. “Great! Just call the others and tell them about the mission. I’ll see you guys at home.”

Lucy was about to leave but was stopped by Cobra grabbing her arm. “Hold on. Where are you going?” Lucy just smiled as she grabbed Kai’s arm. “I’m going to take Kai with me. He told me he is new to the place. So I wanted to show him around Fiore before we leave. Bye guys!” And with that she left with the man in her arms leaving the three mages uneasy about the situation. 

“Hey guys!” Racer shouted at the three of them to catch their attention. The trio turned to his voice to see him, Hot Eye and Michelle walking towards them. “Where is Nee-san?” Michelle asked. When the two men weren’t answering, Angel sighed and responded, “She’s with her possible stalker.”

“What?!” The three exclaimed in unison. “Did Lucy-san get kidnapped?!” Hot Eye asked. Midnight shook his head no and said, “No. To summarize what just happened, this shady guy named Kai just joined our guild because he wanted to meet Lucy. But it just doesn’t feel right. There must be something behind that mask he is wearing.” 

There was a moment of silence before someone cut it. “Well what are we doing standing around here for?” Everyone turned to Cobra as he started walking. “Let’s go follow her and Mr. Suspicious so we can make sure she’s safe.” He turned to look at the others and raised an eyebrow. “What are you waiting for? Let’s go already.” All of them nodded their heads and followed after the Dragon Slayer.

Meanwhile with Lucy, she was still holding Kai’s arm while she was showing him her favorite library. “This right here is where I hang out the most during my free time.” The man next to her smiled and said, “I can see myself staying here during my own time while I’m still here.” Lucy looked at him and asked, “While you’re still here? So you won’t be here long?” The man chuckled and answered. “Well, it depends if I like this place. So far, I’m starting to like it because of you.” The blonde girl blushed as they continued to look through the library.

They stopped at one section because Lucy wanted to borrow a new book she haven’t read yet. ‘There it is!’ she cheered. However the book was to high for her to reach. She looked around and found a step ladder for her to use. Just her luck. Bringing it to the shelf, she stepped on it and attempted to reach again. However she still was not able to reach it. ‘Oh come on! I’m not that short!’

Lucy started to feel a body pressed up against her back. She looked behind her and saw Kai staring down on her. Her face started to turn crimson red because of how close he was. “W-What are you doing?” He didn’t respond. Instead he leaned in closer to her. “W-Wait a-“ Her words were cut off when a book covered her view from him. Specifically, the book she was trying to reach for. 

“This is the book you wanted right?” He asked grinning at her innocently, almost child-like. Lucy can feel her face getting hotter and hotter by the second. She thought he was making a move on her. “Lucy-san? Are you ok?” She mentally face-palmed herself for spacing out like that. “S-Sorry! I didn’t realize that- woah!” She accidentally missed her stepping in going down from the stepladder, making her fall. 

She closed her eyes waiting for the impact. However she never felt the hard ground. Instead she felt arms that were snakes around her waist and small puff of breath hitting her face. She opened her eyes to see Kai looking down on her. Apparently he was fast enough to save her from injuring. “T-Thank you Kai...” She stuttered, feeling smoke coming out of her ears. “No problem...” He gave her a charming smile which made her heart beating faster.

“Lu-chan?”

Her face grew ten times redder after hearing the familiar voice. The two turned to the new voice and found her teammates standing there looking at them in shock. Well, most of them. Cobra and Midnight can feel their blood boiling at the sight before them. Lucy instantly created distance between her and Kai. “A-Ah hey guys! U-Umm this is just a misunderstanding! Kai just helped me that’s all!” Her teammates just gave her a short nod at her answer but it didn’t stopped two men from glaring at the man.

“Anyways... What are you guys doing here?” The team is a bit flustered by the question since they can’t exactly say that they were spying on them (Kai most especially). “W-Well... some of us here wanted to buy some books and we all happened to find you here with...him.” Midnight said, annoyance dripping from his tone when he said the last word. “Oh really? Well actually that’s a good thing. The train is about to leave in about 3 hours. So how about after buying all of can go back home and prepare our luggage?” 

“Hold on a second. He is coming with us?” Cobra asked while glaring at Kai. Lucy nodded while smiling. “Well might as well. Kai told me he is a minimalist so he doesn’t bring much with him. Anyways I’ll go borrow this book now. I’ll see you outside ok?” With that she left them all alone. The atmosphere was so thick that it could be cut with a knife. Kai was about to go out but an arm grabbed on to his forearm.

“Tell us right now. What is your game here? The facade your showing to Lucy may fool her, but it can’t fool us.” Cobra said while making his grip tighter. Kai just chuckled and pulled his arm away from him. “What game? I don’t know what you’re talking about.” He tried to leave but stopped when Midnight started talking. “Go ahead and continue this act in front of Lucy. But eventually you’ll reveal your true colors to her.” Kai turned around to face them and smirked.

“You say I’m putting up this act in front of her yet you lie to her face about why you’re actually here. Don’t think I haven’t noticed you guys following us.” He turned and left before leaving with his final words. “Be careful with how you handle this. She’ll realize soon what mistake she made.”All of them were left speechless. “Mistake he said... Yeah. She’ll realize it was a mistake to befriend this bastard.” Cobra said with ticked off look on his face. “This guy is seriously bad news right now.” Sawyer said. “In the meantime, let’s meet up with Lucy to go back home.” Everyone nodded in agreement and left. 

After meeting with Lucy and Kai outside, they all proceeded to go back to their place. The moment everyone stepped into the place, all of them except Kai went to their rooms to finish packing. When Cobra and Midnight were done, they made their way to living room. Midnight stopped in his tracks which caused Cobra to bump into him. “Dude what the-“ He was cut off when the Reflector Mage put his hand over his mouth while signaling him to be quiet. ‘That Kai guy is talking to someone on a Lacrima’ Midnight thought knowing the Dragon Slayer could hear it. 

The two men peered in and watched as Kai continued to talk to the mysterious person. “I was able to befriend her and gain her trust.” The two could only guess that he was talking about Lucy which raised their concerns for her. “Good. Keep it up. The time for us to be together finally is coming closer.” The two were confused. Exactly who was he talking to?

After ending the call, Kai sighed. “You two really don’t know when to give up do you?” Knowing that there is no use hiding, the two came out and looked at Kai dead in the eyes. “When it comes to Lucy, she’s our number one concern.” Midnight said. Kai shook his head and chuckle. “Can’t you see that she can handle on her own?” 

“We know. Now, tell us who was that you were talking to just now?” Cobra questioned. “Why would you like to know? It’s just a friend of mine. You’re taking things out of context.” Kai said. “It’s true that there is a possibility we may take what you said out of context. But for all we know you are Lucy’s stalker.”

“My...stalker?”

Both of the former Oracion Seis members were frozen in their place by the sound of the new voice. They turned around to see Lucy standing there with her luggage in hand and a confused look on her face. “I don’t understand. I have a stalker? Is this true?” The two stayed silent which didn’t sit well with her. “Answer me. I have a stalker?” Midnight sighed as he knew it was time for them to come clean.

"Lucy... This morning when the magic council came, they didn't just came here to just check up on us. They explained to us that you have had a stalker for a while now." Lucy was in utter shocked by the news. There was actually someone who was stalking her? 'So when I thought someone was staring at me, it really wasn't my imagination.' She thought to herself. 'But if that's true then why...?' Footsteps were heard the hallway revealing the remaining members standing there confused on what's going on. "Did you all knew about my stalker?" None of them answered. "Answer me!" Angel was brave enough to speak up. "We did Lu-chan..." All of the others nodded their head. "Why didn't you guys tell me right away?"

"The council told us that this guy is crazy strong. Who knows what he might do to you once you're in his grasp. And for all we know this guy could be the stalker himself or working for him!" Midnight's breath hitched when he saw the look on Lucy's eyes. It was the look of being betrayed. "Do you guys not believe I'm strong enough to protect myself? Do you guys not trust me on my own? Is that why you all were in the library a while ago? You weren't checking out some books you were spying on us? You really don't trust me anymore? News flash people, I'm not a little kid anymore!"

"Lucy! We're trying to protect you here!"

"I get that! But that doesn't change the fact that you lied to me! You betrayed my trust! I thought that I found my true family! I thought I finally found people who I can trust! I thought I found something more..." She looked between Midnight and Cobra with sad eyes. "But now I see that I was living a lie once again."

She grabbed her bag and made her way to Kai, bumping shoulders with the one she had hoped to push her relationships with further causing his heart to break. "Don't bother coming with the two of us. I don't think I can face you guys for a while..." She took a hold of Kai's hand but was stopped when another hand gripped her shoulder. "Lucy, don't leave us! Please..." He said. She looked at him dead in the eyes.

"I really thought we had something special... But now you proved to me this could never worked." With that she pulled away from his grip and made her way out the door with Kai and slammed the door behind.

Leaving him heartbroken.

But before I end this Author’s Note, I want to establish two things.

Number one: I’m starting to get upset when people in the comments are getting mad because their ship isn’t winning. Which leads to them saying that this certain ship sucks.

In my opinion, I’m ok with people commenting how they want MidLu/CoLu to win. However, I start to feel a little bit upset when people comment something like MidLu/CoLu sucks. And I get worried sometimes because it can start a fan war in the comment section. So guys please understand what I’m trying to say here. I just don’t want to see my readers fighting with each other in the comments because of their different opinions in their ships.

Number two: It has been almost 3 years since I last updated Living And Training With Criminals. Mostly because I don’t have the motivation to continue writing this anymore.

Now I have seen the comments in the latest chapter basically shouting at my face to update. I try my best to update but simply because of school, lack of motivation, mental health and just plain laziness has stopped me from writing. Please understand that people have their own pacing in writing depending on their situation.

Honestly I want to finish this story as soon as possible so I can continue my other stories. So again, I’m sorry for this very late update. I was almost close to putting this on hiatus. But I’m close to the end so I won’t do it.

I thank my faithful readers for putting up with all of the things I basically rant about and with the long awaited chapter. So please understand what I just established. Thanks for reading and I’ll see you all in the next chapter.
