[ Arc 2 - 5 ] Good news
Two Hours Later
Two hours later in the real world, two years in this room, Viu now 23 years old, and Meili 14 years old came out of there with new clothes. Thus this room disappeared behind them.
As the room disappeared behind them, Viu and Meili stood in the real world, two years older than when they had entered.
Viu's appearance had changed slightly, his features more defined and mature. Meili too looked older, her once small frame now a hint of the woman she would be.
They glanced at each other, a mixture of disbelief and awe in their eyes.
- Did... did it really work? Meili asked, her voice laced with wonder.
- Indeed. You are now physically stronger and you can call your Mabeasts wherever you want and your skill as an assassin has improved a lot. As for me, knowing that my body is already at its maximum, I improved my writing that I now call Wlan, and in addition due to my Od and my particular Gate I developed a seventh element of elemental magic and I specialized on that. And for the other six elements, I can cast them via Wlan and even if it will be different, I lose no mana with that. My Od and my Gate have particular shapes and let's say that the injuries I suffered to the point of having hyper-developed senses, the fact that I have Wlan and you combine all that uh... No. This is the element of absolute emptiness that I call Wuji. It allows me to cancel other elemental magic. However I can't use the other six elements without Wlan.
Meili listened intently, her eyes wide with surprise and admiration.
- Wow... you learned a whole new element and improved your skills to the maximum. That's incredible.
She glanced down at her hands, flexing them.
- And my skills as an assassin have improved a lot too, huh? I didn't expect to learn so much in such a short amount of time.
Looking back up at Viu, she tilted her head curiously.
- Absolute emptiness, you say... Wuji. That sounds powerful.
They returned to the living room, and Rem and Ram noticed the fact that Viu and Meili had grown.
As Viu and Meili walked into the living room, Rem and Ram's eyes widened in surprise at the change in their appearances. Rem, always observant, was the first to break the silence.
- Viu-sama, Meili-dono... she began, her voice laced with astonishment.
... you've both grown so much.
I can talk to Rem about this but not to Ram since it will be a reddit because I come from another dimension and she will ask me to be discreet and rightly so.
It was then that Ram announced to Viu that Roswaal wanted to see him.
Viu's heart skipped a beat at the mention of Roswaal wanting to see him. He glanced over at Meili before nodding.
- I'll go see what he needs, he said, trying to keep his voice steady.
Rem, sensing Viu's unease, gave him an encouraging smile.
- Don't worry, Viu-sama. I'm sure it's nothing serious.
- I hope for my dad.

- Huh? My three requests were accepted?!
Roswaal chuckled at Viu's surprise, a hint of smugness in his expression.
- Indeed, I have agreeeeeeed to all three of your requests.
He leaned back in his seat, regarding Viu with a cryptic smile.
- But that's great. Obviously I don't doubt your talents but let's just say that the Wise are known for being ...a little too conservative.
Roswaal inclined his head slightly, a small smirk playing at the corners of his lips.
- Oh, I'm well awaaaaaaare of that. Trust me, the Wise will haaaaaaave much to say about your requests.
He paused for a moment, his eyes flickering with intrigue.
- But I suspect that's precisely why you requested those conditions, hm?
- Exactly. By making these requests they will just think that I am a foreigner who comes to live here quietly and rebuild his life. And then, having killed Elsa, and saved a candidate it is all good that I am not asking for too much.
Roswaal chuckled knowingly, a hint of admiration in his eyes.
- Quite astute, aren't you? Your reasoning is sound. By framing yourself as a foreigner seeking to rebuild your life, you've created an image to satisfy the Wise's conservative views.
He laced his fingers together, his gaze never leaving Viu.
- And I suspect there's mooooooooore to it than that. Your other two requests... thoooooose are the real intentions, aren't they?
- Yeah. Let's just say I'm a cautious person by nature.
Roswaal nodded, his eyes studying Viu closely.
- A cautious approach, very wise indeed. And yet...
He leaned back slightly, tapping his fingers together.
- ... I can't help but sense there's a hint of recklessness in you as well. Something about the waaaaaaaaay you carry yourself... it speaks of hidden intentions.
- In every prudent person there is recklessness. It depends on the degree. However, this is a recklessness from experience that is counterbalanced by my prudent nature.
Roswaal let out a low chuckle, his eyes gleaming with a mixture of fascination and understanding.
- Ah, I see. You're well awaaaaare of your own duality, then. A balance between caaaaaution and risk, shaped by your experiences. A perilooooous dance indeed.
He leaned forward, his gaze never leaving Viu.
- And speaking of experience... just how much have you encouuuuuuuntered in your life to cultivate such a cautious yet reckless nature?
He then showed his marks and scar all over his body and seriously said:
- A life that can make the Witch of Envy shudder.
Roswaal's eyes widened slightly as he took in the sight of the marks and scars covering Viu's body. A sense of realization and perhaps a hint of sympathy glimmered in his gaze.
- You bear the scars of a life that would make even the Witch of Envy quake, he mused, his tone softer now.
He studied each mark and scar on Viu's body, his mind piecing together a story of pain, hardship, and resilience.
