Chapter 4

David

She's gone, again. "We have to find her" I demanded. Audrey just disappeared. It was like when mom teleports, but it was faster. It looked natural for her. I know that we can't track her scent. We just have to think about where Audrey would go. "She's probably at her old house. It will only take us an hour to run" I said.

Uncle Matthew nodded in confirmation, but Gar was shaking her head at me. "We shouldn't go after her" Gar told me. "She obviously doesn't want to be here"

I frowned. "But she belongs here. This is her home. We are her family" I stated. Audrey never belonged with that monster. Audrey was four days old when she was taken. Anthony had to psycho or something.

"That's not what she thinks" Gar said softly. "Look, Audrey obviously loved Anthony. He was the only father she ever had. No matter how much he hurt her, that's her dad. And our dad killed her dad. She sees us all as the bad guys" she explained.

Sighing, I ran my hand down my face. "So what do we do?" I questioned. We can't just sit here and hope that she'll come back. Because she most likely won't.

We all looked at Gar for an answer. "We let her cool off" she decided. "We can send a few warriors over just in case. But we can't bring her back, not yet at least"

I nodded in agreement just as our dad mind-linked me. 'I'm interrogating the rogues' he informed me. I quickly told him that I'll be there soon. Our parents decided that I would be Alpha and Audrey would take over the throne. Gardenia is okay with it because she wants to be a therapist. Other duties would just get in her way.

After telling them where I was going, I made my way to the cellars. I found my father, Uncle Shawn, Uncle Brian, Uncle Ryan, and Uncle Thomas waiting for me. Uncle Shawn is Uncle Ryan's Beta. Uncle Ryan is the Royal Pack Alpha. Uncle Brian is my father's Beta. Uncle Thomas is the Royal Guard Leader. Needless to say, I have a lot of uncles.

Together, we started down the staircase that leads to the cells. "Rogue werewolves have silver shackles. We had a witch put a binding spell on the rogue witches. They can't use magic, and they also have shackles" Uncle Thomas informed us. We all nodded as he opened the door that separates us from the cells.

Surprisingly, it was dead silent. Usually, the prisoners shout to be let out, or they just shout profanities at us. Either way, it's never this quiet. I looked around at the prisoners. They were all young or women. 'All the men fought. They died. We found the women and kids in a safe house' Dad told all of us through the mind-link.

I continued to examine the prisoners. 'Was it necessary to chain up the kids?' I asked my father, a bit angry. The youngest one looked about seven. He was peacefully sleeping, but there was still a chain around his ankle.

'All the kids under five are being cared for' Dad informed me.

I angrily clenched my fists. "They are children. They can't do any harm" I hissed aloud. "You put a binding spell on everyone who we captured. Why do you feel the need to lock up innocent kids?"

Dad clenched and unclenched his jaw, but I didn't back down. His eyes darkened and I straightened out so we were the same height. "They had Audrey" he growled out.

I scoffed. "They weren't even born when Audrey was taken!" I shouted. Dad's eyes went back to their normal blue color as he looked down in shame. "When we're done here, I expect all the kids to be taken out the cells" I said sternly. Dad sighed and nodded his head.

Looking around, I saw that all of my uncles were looking at me with... pride? I shrugged it off and continued to walk. "Who is willing to speak on behalf of your people?" I questioned. My voice echoed through the cellar. I was answered with complete silence. "We mean no harm" I stated.

A voice scoffed. I turned to see a woman in her thirties maybe. "You mean no harm, yet here we are with silver burning our ankles" she stated.

I heard several hums of agreement. Frowning, I walked closer to the woman's cell. "I apologize. The shackles shouldn't be doing that" I said sincerely. The chains should only burn if you try to take it off. There should only be silver on the outside, not where your ankle goes.

I turned accusingly to my father, who still had his head down. 'I understand that this involved Audrey, but you cannot act differently because of that. This is not protocol. This is not how we treat children. This is not what an Alpha- or better yet, a king- would do' I mind-linked him. I accidentally mind-linked my uncles; but they nodded in agreement to my words.

"Can you have a few people get new chains?" I asked Uncle Thomas. He nodded before walking away. "Those will be taken off; but new ones will be put on" I got a lot of nods and a few people muttered a thank you.

I walked deeper into the cellar, and further away from my father and uncles. "Is anyone willing to answer a few questions?" I asked. Once again, no one responded.

'We're an Alpha/Prince. They're rogues. They don't like us' Allen, my wolf, told me.

Sighing, I looked around at the women and kids with pleading eyes. "I need to ask about my sister" I told them. "She lived with you all. Her name is Audrey. Audrey Bay" I heard a few gasps. "Please. I just want to know about Audrey"

"We call her Bay" a soft voice said. I followed the echo of the voice to a cell. An elderly woman sat on the bed. She wore shackles, but I could tell that they weren't silver. She has to be one of the rogue witches.

I sat in front of the cell door to look less intimidating. "You know my sister?" I asked the woman. She nodded and turned her body to face me. "What's your name?" I inquired.

She gave me a small smile. "I'm Naomi" she answered.

"Well, I'm David; Dave for short" I informed her. "I'm one of Audrey's triplets. I have another sister, named Gardenia" I stated.

Naomi nodded. "You have the same eyes as Bay" she whispered.

Smiling, I turned to see my father walking towards me. "This is my father. He's the King and the Alpha of the Blue Moon pack" I told Naomi. Dad softly smiled at the woman and gave her a small wave. It looked kinda weird since she's locked up, but it's being polite in a way.

The woman gasped as she took in my father's features. "It's a pleasure to meet you, your Highness" Naomi said.

Dad smiled a genuine smile. "Thank you. Please, call me Asher" he replied. Well, this is an improvement!

"Naomi" I said softly. Her gaze moved to me. "Did you know about any of us?" I asked.

Her smile was gone and replaced with a frown. "We only know what Anthony told us" she stated. Dad sat down next to me and we waited for her to continue. "He said that he had a mate. They had triplets. But she gave Bay away. He said that she just showed up with Bay, but she kept the other two children"

Her eyes snapped to my father, and she didn't mask the anger inside of them. "His mate marked and mated with another man, who took his place as their father. No one looked for Bay. You people abandoned her"

By the time she was done, both me and my father were shaking with anger. He lied! Anthony told Audrey a bunch of lies! I took deep breaths to calm myself down, whilst Dad stormed out. "How was Audrey treated?" I inquired. "How did Anthony treat her?" Honestly, I'm scared to know the answer, but I need to know.

"He loved her. We all loved her" Naomi stated. "Anthony never laid a hand on her. He was the father a lot of us dreamed of having"

Well, that's not what I expected. He was actually a good dad. "None of that is true- his story. What he told you guys was a bunch of lies" I informed her; I said it loudly, so the other prisoners can hear. "A few days after we were born, Anthony kidnapped Audrey"

It was quiet as the information sunk in. After a while, something clicked. Naomi looked at me, like she solved a hard math problem. "That's why she looks like the King! That's why the only resemblance Bay had with Anthony was their hair" she said. I nodded. We all figured out that Anthony took Audrey because she looked more like him than me and Gar.

A woman, in the cell next to Naomi's, spoke up. "Leo's spell" she whispered. I turned to look at her, but she avoided my eyes. I don't think she meant to say that out loud. I looked at Naomi for some explanation.

"Leo is my late husband. He died a few days before the attack" Naomi stated. I gave her a sincere smile. "Anthony had Leo put a spell around our area. It made the whole place invisible. Everyone who came, just walked through our houses without knowing it"

I nodded, processing the information. "But when he died, the spell was lifted" I concluded. "That's why we could finally find her!" I exclaimed. "Why did you guys have the spell?" I asked. They didn't know that we were looking for Audrey, so what did Anthony tell them?

She sighed. "Anthony said that it was for protection. If people couldn't see us, they wouldn't be able to attack us. But it wasn't to protect us. He was hiding Bay" she whispered.

Naomi frowned as I nodded, trying to understand everything. Slowly, Naomi got into a submissive position. Her along with the other prisoners revealed their necks. "On behalf of my people, I sincerely apologize. We believed Anthony's lies; and as a result, Bay was taken away from her real family for 18 years" Naomi said.

Looking around, every single person was in the same position. Some of our warriors were in the cells with them, and they were still in the position. Showing your neck in front of someone who could easily kill you, is a true sign of devotion. No one here is a threat.

"Unlock the cells!" I ordered. "Set everyone up with a guest room either in the castle or in a pack house. They may join us, or stay until they decide to leave" the warriors nodded.

I saw Uncle Shawn, Uncle Ryan, Uncle Thomas, and Uncle Brian looking at me- and this time, I was sure of what I saw. They looked at me with pride. "Thank you, Alpha" Naomi said kindly.

Smiling at the woman, I unlocked her cell. I walked inside and started unlocking the chain. "It's David or Dave" I said. She gave me a soft hug, which I returned. "My Uncle Ryan will take care of you" I told her.

Uncle Ryan came to the cell and waited outside. "He is the Alpha of the Royal Pack. If you need anything, you can ask him or you can come to me" I stated. Naomi nodded as Ryan helped her through the cellar.

"Alpha" I heard a soft voice. I turned to see a little girl and two little boys. They all looked less than ten. They were all looking down at their feet as the little girl spoke. "Can we stay too?" she asked. "We're not wolves. We're witches"

I smiled while lifting their little chins up. I squatted down to their height. "Of course you can stay. What's your names?" I asked.

A grin spread across the little girl's face. "I'm Riley. This is Adam and Shawn" the girl chirped.

I stood back up, but bent down a little. "Nice to meet you guys. I'm David. Wanna know something cool?" I said excitedly. They eagerly nodded their little heads. "My uncle's name is Shawn" I stated. Uncle Shawn came towards us. "This is him. He's the Beta of the Royal Pack. How 'bout you guys go with him, and I'll see you later" I suggested. With happy smiles, the boys walked towards Uncle Shawn.

Riley stayed though. "What's wrong, sweetheart?" I asked softly. She sniffled, and I picked her up. I wiped away her little tears. "Why are you crying?"

"I miss Mommy" she pouted. Crap. I guess we should help the parents find their kids and help the kids find their parents.

I walked towards the exit with Riley on my hip. "We're gonna get you all cleaned up, and then we're gonna eat. After that, I'll help you find your Mommy" I offered. Riley nodded before resting her head on my shoulder.

Walking down a hallway in the castle, I passed many pack members. They all nodded at me and some praised me. I've guess everyone knows what happened. I was walking towards my room, when I saw my mother.

She smiled at me and wrapped her arms around my waist. "You're gonna be a great Alpha" she mumbled. When she pulled away, I kissed her cheek. "Do you want me to take her?" she asked, nodding towards Riley.

I tried handing the girl to her, but Riley started crying as she clutched onto my arm. "I want to stay with David!" Riley screeched. I winced and stopped trying to give her to my mom.

"Okay, okay. You'll stay with me" I whispered. I kissed her head while rubbing her back to calm her cries. "No more crying" If there's one thing I hate, it's kids crying.

I gave Mom a small smile before I continued to walk to my room. I put Riley down, then grabbed a towel for her. Handing her the towel, I froze. "You can shower on your own right?" I asked.

Riley nodded. "I'm a big girl!" she exclaimed. I softly chuckled as I opened the door to the bathroom. Riley walked inside, and I left the door partially open.

Now, I have to find clothes for her. My old clothes! I don't know why, but I have clothes from when I was a little boy. A shirt can be like a nightgown for her. I went into my dresser and grabbed a small shirt that had Mickey Mouse on it. "I can't believe I actually wore this" I whispered to myself.

I put the shirt in the bathroom, but I still felt like I was missing something. Looking at the pile clothes on the floor, I mentally groaned. She needs underwear. I quickly mind-linked my Aunt El and asked her to get underwear. Do girls her age wear bras?

Quietly, I made my way out the room and rapidly knocked on Gar's door. "What?" she asked while swinging the door open.

"When did you start wearing a bra?" I blurted. Gar slammed the door in my face. I guess I shouldn't have asked it like that. I knocked again. "Gar! I'm trying to give this girl some clothes!" I shouted through the door. "She's about eight! Does she need a bra?!" I questioned.

The door opened again to reveal my sister laughing her ass off. She took a few very deep breaths to calm down. "There's no exact age to start wearing a bra" she informed me. "Does she have boobs?"

I face-palmed. "How would I know?! I'm not gonna look!" I shouted while shuddering.

Gar giggled at my reaction. "Well, was she wearing a bra?" she asked. I ran back into my room. The water was still running. I went into the bathroom and looked at Riley's clothes. There was jeans, underwear, and a shirt. No bra.

I sighed just as someone knocked on the door. I opened it and saw my Aunt El. "Before I give this to you, you have to tell me what it's for" she demanded.

"A little girl that used to live with Audrey is showering in my bathroom because she didn't like my mom, now I need to give her clothes. And she doesn't wear a bra" I said in one breath. Aunt El blinked before slowly handing over a pack of girls' underwear. "Thank you"

I placed the underwear next to the shirt just as I heard the shower turn off. I quickly got out the bathroom and sat down on the couch. A few minutes later, Riley came out of the bathroom. I helped her dry her hair before she said that she was sleepy.

Well, I have a couch that I can sleep on later. "You can sleep in my bed" I offered. "When you wake up, we're gonna find your Mommy" I told her. Riley smiled and curled up in my blankets. I waited for her to fall asleep before I left. I kept the door a little open, just in case.

Time to take care of the other kids.

Awww!! David is so sweet!!!

Yay! I did all of the triplets' point of views!

Like what's going on with Asher though? That was just messed up. He was blinded by that fact that his daughter was with them. Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. I think he owes them an apology!

Hehehehe
