"Sherri. That conniving little witch. She sure lives up to her coven's name. Brings havoc to anyone that isn't a witch. She gets info on someone and makes their life hell. How I wish I could just rip her-"

"This is Dr. Nale" Dad cut off the man's ranting.  Dr. Nale was old- like really old. The very little hair that he had was thinner than a dust particle and whiter than printer paper. He had a friendly smile on his face, showing wrinkles from his aging.

Dr. Nale reached out and gently shook my hand. "It's nice to finally meet you" he said politely. "I was your mother's doctor when she was pregnant. And I was a consultant in your father's decisions" he informed me.

I smiled at him, nodding my head. "I don't mean to be rude. But you are a rogue" I pointed out.

He chuckled, nodding his head in confirmation. "I left the pack and have been staying in a coven. I study their magic. I was dedicated to figuring out how Odin planned to make a hybrid" A werewolf surrounded by witches. Interesting to say the least. "I've been informed that you were- you are part of the plan to make a hybrid?" Dr. Nale asked.

I shrugged, unsure about Anthony's plan. "Well, which one of you is Keith?" the doctor asked, looking around at the group of us. My friend slowly raised his hand and came towards Dr. Nale and I. Without warning, Dr. Nale pulled a syringe out and stabbed it into Keith's arm. My eyes went wide as he injected some substance into Keith. "Don't worry. It shouldn't kill him" Dr. Nale assured us.

It shouldn't kill him. But it could. The substance looked like liquid mercury as it traveled through Keith's veins. It could easily be see through his skin. The substance ran up his arms and around his whole body before going to his chest. His breath stopped as the air got sucked out of him. "Stop! Take it out of him!" I demanded, watching Keith fall to the floor. "Stop it!"

A few seconds went by before the substance disappeared from his veins and he inhaled a deep breath. Keith started panting as his hair was drenched with sweat. "Interesting" Dr. Nale mumbled. He got closer to Keith, held his eyelids open, and examined his eye balls. "Red iris" he stated.

"What did you do to him?!" I shouted, helping Keith to a chair.

We all stood in between Dr. Nale and Keith. Everyone was being protective- my parents included. "I'm don't mean to make you less important, but you were not the one" Dr. Nale said, looking straight at me. "It was a mix of liquid silver and wolfsbane- a test" he informed us. "Has Keith exercised his magic lately?" he inquired.

I didn't answer. My parents have trusted him at one time, but that doesn't mean I have to. After what he did to Keith, I'm not sure I can. Mom slightly turned to me and gave me a nod. "Answer. We'll set him straight later on" Mom assured me.

I slowly nodded my head in response to my mother. "I don't think so" I answered Dr. Nale.

"He hasn't. He had no need to" Emily stated. I flashed her a grateful smile. "He has been a little moody lately. Small things will tick him off and he'll act really childish sometimes. His feelings have been all over the place" she informed the man.

Dr. Nale let out a single chuckle as he gazed at Keith. "Use your magic" the doctor demanded. Keith looked to my mom for guidance and she nodded her head at him. He half-heartedly swung his hand out, levitating a lamp, and throwing it toward Dr. Nale. "Impressive" he muttered after ducking out of the way.

"Dr. Nale. Care to explain?" Dad asked as we watched the older man's face light up with a smile.

It was extremely creepy. "It looks like your friend here is in the first stage of becoming a hybrid" he stated. "The wolfsbane and silver affected him, but didn't knock him out. His mood swings are his emotions getting stronger. He's becoming a werewolf" Dr. Nale stated.

We all looked at Keith, who looked better than a few moments ago- he actually looked normal. "But I don't shift" Keith reminded him.

The man shook his head. "Not yet. But I would like to run a few tests. I have studied enough to create a basic theory of how you will complete the hybrid process" he explained.

Keith looked to my mom for her approval again. This time, she shrugged. "It's up to you. If you don't want to do it, then you don't have to" she assured him. Keith looked at the doctor and nodded. "You're not going to do anything that will harm him" Mom demanded, narrowing her eyes at Dr. Nale.

He put his hands up in surrender and shook his head. "The injection was the only thing that would possibly hurt him" he told us. "But before I start tests, I'm sure you guys would like an explanation" We all nodded our heads. "Well, Keith is in fact Odin's son. I found some old things of Odin's; and I have been studying and memorizing every note and every plan that he has made. He was working with Malcom as you know. But Anthony was not part of the plan. Malcom originally wanted Anthony to be the hybrid- he thought a child hybrid would be useless. So he started his own plan with Anthony. That didn't work because his witch side dominated his wolf side, leaving him as a full witch. However, Malcom still shared all the information with Anthony; so after you killed him, Anthony took his spot in the plans. He kidnapped Audrey with the help of a witch named Leo"

"Naomi's husband" I muttered, accidentally interrupting him.

Dr. Nale nodded his head at me. "The plan was to create a bond between you and another witch. When that witch died, the magic would go into you. Obviously that didn't happen because they brought you back here. When you broke the bond between you and Keith, what happened was basically opposite of the plan. Bonds never break evenly. One is always left a little weaker. The weaker one is you, you're still stronger than the average wolf because you have Royal and Alpha blood. But you're weaker than your siblings. Keith however, got part of you. For lack of better words, he got a piece of werewolf. And that piece has been growing since you broke the bond"

We were quiet as we all soaked in the information- and it was a lot of information. Anthony was basically Malcom's failed experiment. Keith is the accidental success. "Bay" All of our heads snapped to the door as Riley came in, rubbing her eyes. I smiled at her, coaxing her to come towards me. "There's grown-ups here. They said that they know you and your mate" she informed me.

That put all of us on alert. "Sweetie, stay here with Lila. I'll be right back" I stated. Everyone followed me except Lila, Riley, Emily, and Keith. We got to the main hallway where a row of guards were making a protective wall, preventing people from going any deeper into the castle. I inhaled through my nose, recognizing the scents. "Let them through" I demanded. The guards parted, revealing Jesse, Sam, Sammie, and Ver. "You guys didn't tell us you were coming" I lightly scolded them, while giving them quick hugs.

Everyone shrugged except Jesse. "We were going to surprise you guys. You were gonna be so happy that you finally get to see us. I know you missed us so much and you were probably crying all night from being away from us. So we came to you" he stated.

"Where's Em?" Sammie asked, looking around at the group of us.

I cringed, not sure how Emily would react to them being here. Her best friends really ditched her for their mates. Thomas grabbed my hand and gave it a small squeeze. "She's in the living room. But fair warning, she's mad at you guys for dumping her" I stated.

The girls looked confused. "When you found your mates, you ignored her and spent all your time with your mates" I told the girls. "And you two-" I pointed at Jesse and Sam. "Disregarded all your work. I understand that you were glad to find each other. But you can't just drop everything. It's been almost two weeks and I know for a fact that Stewart has been picking up your slack"

"But Thomas spends all his time here" Sam argued.

Glaring, I shook my head in disappointment. I expected more from him; that was pretty childish. "Thomas is helping us figure out this whole kidnapping scheme. And don't even say that it isn't his job because he is my mate. Whatever happened or what's still happening affects the pack because I'm Luna. At least he's being productive" I chastised. They frowned, looking at each other before looking at the ground.

"She's like Mom when she scolds people" David told Gardenia.

I rolled my eyes at his statement, letting a smile creep onto my face. "I was all serious, then you ruined it" I huffed. "You guys really need to get things straight" I told the pairs of mates. The four of them nodded their heads in understanding. "Okay. I'll take you guys to Emily" I said.

Everyone followed me back to the living room. "Bay. Those are the grown-ups that I was talking about" Riley stated.

I nodded my head. "Yeah. They are friends from my pack" I informed her.

She examined them before shrugging. "Lila. I want food" She smiled at Riley, leading her to the kitchen.

"Oh, hey guys" Emily said, giving the girls a fake smile. Sammie opened her mouth to talk, but Emily cut them off. "This is my best friend, Keith" she stated.

The girls frowned. "Em. Now is not the time to start drama. You guys go patch things up. We have to figure all of this out" I demanded. Emily sighed, nodding her head and leading the girls elsewhere.

Dr. Nale was examining Keith's eyes again. "Every test that you do, I want to know about. I don't care if it harmful or not. You will not do something without my permission" I stated.

He nodded his head. "I wouldn't do anything against your permission" he assured me.

I narrowed my eyes at him. "You do realize that you injected him with that wolfsbane and silver stuff without my permission right?" I questioned.

"Would you have let me do it if I asked?" he inquired. I didn't verbally answer, but he knew what my answer would have been. "If my theory is correct, he will shift the next full moon" Dr. Nale stated.

The full moon already passed this month. "Why didn't he shift last week? There was a full moon last week" I stated. That's when we did that spell on Naomi.

"His werewolf side wasn't as developed" Dr. Nale answered. "Since you all are just standing there, does anyone have any questions?"

We were all standing around and watching him examine Keith. "I do" Thomas spoke up. "If this didn't work on Anthony, why is it working on Keith?" he asked.

Dr. Nale hummed to himself. "Well, Anthony was a werewolf who was given magic- a lot of it. The magic overpowered the werewolf side of him until it was destroyed. His werewolf side was too weak. In Keith's case, he was originally witch. Stronger than the average because of Odin's rank in the coven. Then he was given a small werewolf side that is both Royal and Alpha. His power and the werewolf side are equally strong. If the hybrid process is completed, then both sides will be balanced" the doctor explained.

"I have a question" Keith said, raising his hand. "What's with that message thing from that coven chick?" he questioned.

"Your ominous upbringings restore composure. He imbalances life drastically. Well, that message goes way back to before you guys were even born. We thought it was just an acronym- which it kinda was. But there was obviously more to it. My theory is that the upbringings part is about Audrey. How she was kidnapped and all. The fact that Anthony kidnapped you was bad but he raised you well. And the 'he' is you, Keith. You're both werewolf and witch- an imbalance of magic. You shouldn't exist- no offense" he stated.

How can someone be told that they shouldn't exist but not be offended by it? "Will Keith have a wolf?" I asked.

Dr. Nale stopped whatever he was doing and tilted his head as he though. "I'm not entirely positive what will happen with the wolf- but I know that he cannot develop one. You can only be born with one, so he can't have his own. He will not have one or he will have the same wolf as you, since his werewolf side came from you" Dr. Nale informed me. "Have you spoken to your wolf lately?" he asked.

I shook my head. "I haven't spoken to her, but I can still feel her" I told him.

"I hope you guys don't fight a lot then, because you will be sharing one wolf"
