Chapter 1

Another year in the wrestling world has started and with it came new surprises that shook everything up to the core. Not only were there new champions, new stars or new arenas, no. There was one big surprise that was only speculated by a lot of people, so nobody had any real proof of it. Superstars, fans and critics spent hours every day, trying to crack the code. Two of these people are:

Austin Creed aka Xavier Woods

And

Liv Morgan

They currently had an episode of UpUpDownDown going where they suddenly picked up the topic of what the big surprise could actually be. For about two weeks, the WWE teased this big thing and nobody had managed to find out who or what it is which bothered these people a lot. Mysteries were always great, but a lot of them were also major disappointments, so everyone had mixed feeling about what was going on. Austin was an avid believer of conspiracy theories, so his first idea was exactly that.

Austin:" Maybe this is just a return of someone who was injured."

Liv:" I don't think so. They would've hyped things up a lot more, if someone came back. This is a different beast."

Austin:" Interesting. What do you think about it then?"

Liv:" I don't know. It's all so enticing, but also unnerving because we didn't get any info."

Austin:" It can't be the debut of a new superstar. They would announce any new signees a while before they debut, so it doesn't make sense."

Liv:" What if it is though? Think about it: We know a lot of people in and out of the ring, but nobody knows about this either. The fact that there was no announcement until just a few hours ago is reason enough for me to believe that there's someone new coming along."

Austin:" I guess we have to wait and see. Who- or whatever it is better bring something new to the table."

And so the rest of the episode continued with more jokes, stories and video games that were played with big interest. The thoughts about the coming Raw were quite prominent all around to the point that even the ring crew and camera teams felt a bit uneasy about it. Austin personally thought it was a good time to bring in new talent instead of relying on part-timers.
---------------------------------------------------------

Soon enough the time has come for RAW and in the middle of the show, everyone was instructed to clear the path as best as possible. Why?...Because about three military trucks arrived and a squad of soldiers escorted a big man through the backstage area and towards the ring. The stranger was focussed and gave off a very cold and distant vibe towards everyone, which caused every single person to stay silent while none other than Dolph Ziggler stood in the ring, confused as to what happened. It wasn't very often that the military got involved in anything regarding wrestling, so it was strange to see these soldiers walk towards the ring. They surrounded the squared structure as an unfamiliar theme song hit.

The lights were dimmed as well as a single spotlight enveloped the middle of the ring and soon the big stranger from before walked out, gritting his teeth and locking eyes with Dolph who was ready to fight. They stood in front of each other very soon, but didn't say anything to each other. With high tension, big expectations and millions of people watching, this segment was rmalready breaking the internet. What broke it even more was a sudden Discus Lariat from the stranger to Dolph.

It immediatly shook everyone awake once the move hit, but the stranger wasn't done just yet. He had a stoic expression on his face as he looked down at the blonde who was about to disrespect him before the attack, which was a terrible decision alltogether. Dolph was brought back to his feet, but not for long as he immediatly got taken out again, this time by a Headlock Driver.

Surprisingly, the fans seemed to enjoy what was happening as Dolph was dumped out of the ring and and the new superstar pointed at the titantron where his name was brought up.

Y/N L/N

With matching graphics that showed the military background that Y/N clearly seemed to have, he ordered the soldiers around the ring to walk backstage again as he followed soon after, leaving the fans and viewers wondering about what the attack would mean.
---------------------------------------------------------

A minute or two later, Y/N stood in front of Vince McMahon, his children Stephanie and Shane and Triple H. Y/N remained stoic and focussed as they talked about how important Y/N was, not only as a new WWE employee, but first and foremost as a soldier.

Vince:" We would like to thank you for the services to our country, General L/N. You fought bravely."

Hunter:" We are also proud of having you on our roster now. I hope you understand the importance of your work as a wrestler."

Stephanie:" Of course we understand everything you have gone through in life already and we won't push you to do something that isn't to your own preference."

Shane:" Trust me when I say this, but a lot of people are looking up to you as a hero, Sir."

Y/N:" I don't consider myself as a hero. We're soldiers and we serve a purpose. Glorifying what we do doesn't make it any less gruesome."

Shane:" Well...that's true. But you still fought your way through and are here in front of us."

Hunter:" The military might miss you, but the WWE is your new home."

Y/N:" Home is where the heart is, not where we work or anything. Remember for the next time you head far off for something that a hotel is only temporary shelter and nothing else."

Vince:" Alright. We don't want to keep you away from anything. You can go around to get to know some people and then maybe watch the rest of the show."

Everyone saluted Y/N as he nodded and walked off to a different area in the arena. Most people were avoiding him and his path since they were intimidated by what just happened in the ring as he just took a look at everything. To say it was different from his usual shelters or hideouts was an understatement. An arena was by far not what he got used to over the years since it was bigger with more casual people around. Y/N was used to the harsher tone of his superiors, spitting orders at him and his fellow men and women. All the fun and entertainment that was dominating the majority of the backstage atmosphere which weirded him out. He was lost in thought until he bumped into Austin who jumped a little when he saw Y/N.

Y/N:" Regain your composure, soldier. We're not on the battlefield right now."

Austin:" Oh uhh sorry. You just startled me."

Y/N:" I am far from being an enemy as of now. Don't worry about me."

Austin:" Oh okay...I'm Austin Creed aka Xavier Woods."

Y/N:" Y/N L/N."

Austin:" Nice to meet you...I think you would like to know a few things."

Y/N:" A lot actually, but that's only, if you have the time to aid me."

Austin:" I do, believe me."

And so, Y/N and Austin were engaged in a big conversation about wrestling, the rules, the match types, how promos work and everything. Y/N was eager to learn something, even if his face didn't show anything. Since wrestling was now part of his life, he had to understand everything in a short amount of time. The ring was a different battleground from an actual military operation. Here, nobody was going to fire bullets, use explosives or any other harmful gadgets. Instead, physicality was key in every way and Y/N knew exactly how to fight with his fists. Then the conversation took quite a turn when Liv jumped on Y/N's back, thinking he was someone else.

Liv:" Hey guys."

Austin:" Umm, Liv. I don't think you realize who you're on right now."

Liv:" What do you mean?"

Y/N:" What your friend means is me, young lady."

Just then reality hit as Liv looked at Y/N and quickly got off his back, standing next to Austin and apologizing to Y/N.

Y/N:" Compose yourself, young lady."

Liv:" Thank you.  I-I don't know what came over me. I thought you were someone else."

Austin:" Y/N L/N over here is a former General, Liv. Please be a bit more respectful."

Y/N:" My rank barely has anything to do with who I am as a person."

Austin:" But you're a hero."

Y/N:" Heroes are overglorified. Fighting for survival while taking the lives of others is nothing to be proud of."

Liv:" I understand. How do you like it here so far?"

Y/N:" The arena and everything backstage seems to be alright. Austin was the first person I bumped into, so we started talking."

Austin:" And then you came in, Liv."

Y/N:" Surprisingly I don't think I'm weir---"

Y/N was interrupted by his phone ringing, so he excused himself and went to take the call while Liv and Austin were still talking to each other.

Austin:" How was that for a surprise?"

Liv:" Honestly, I'm shocked more than anything else. When those trucks arrived and the soldiers moved in, I thought we were being invaded or something."

Austin:" There were 20 armed men and women. In the middle of them was Y/N. I don't think picking a fight would've been smart."

Liv:" Anyone who even thought about that is an idiot. Have you looked at how jacked Y/N is?"

Austin:" Yeah, he's built like a tank."

Liv:" Do you think he can shoot like one too?"

Austin:" Ummm, what?"

Liv:" Hmm? Oh, nothing. Don't worry about it."

Austin:" You're really weirding me out sometimes."

Liv:" Yeah and I look good doing that."

Austin:" Aaanyways, I'll go get changed. Make sure Y/N is still around too, because I have a lot of questions."

Liv:" Sure thing. Can't let a stranger walk around on his own."

So while Austin left, Liv smiled and just waited for Y/N. The hard shell around him was really difficult to read, let alone to find a crack in. He was like that one outsider in school, but more strict and personal about things like his life or his past careers. This surely was going to need a lot of things before he was going to be on a comfortable level with everyone, but Liv herself was quite excited. Speaking of the former General, Y/N was finally done with his call and put his phone away before returning to Liv.

Y/N:" Sorry about that."

Liv:" Don't worry. Important business can always come up."

Y/N:" Ain't that the truth? Where is Austin by the way?"

Liv:" Off to change. And then he said he wanted to ask you a few questions. So do I actually."

Y/N:" Figures. The new guy has to be broken in before anything happens."

Liv:" So...how are you?"

Y/N:" Better than I thought, but nervous. This is foreign soil for me. I'm used to desert sand, high grass and buildings unlike this one."

Liv:" Seems like you've been around the world."

Y/N:" Critical situations call for us anywhere in the world, so yeah...we get around quite much."

Liv looked Y/N up and down to get a good understanding of where he came from. Serving some time in the military is one thing, climbing up the ranks is another and Y/N seemed like he took things very seriously wherever he was going. His almost emotionless face and pretty much stoic voice where hiding something much deeper, darker. Liv was intrigued to see what that was, but she knew she had to be careful. If only she knew what exactly might await her on this trip.
