Corl POV

The time ticks away as the 3 minutes I have left turns into 2. I don't remember any of the directions and I'm practically just running around hopelessly.

I take a right turn and start to hear faint voices in the distance. Maybe there's hope. I run closer to the sound, relying on my sense of direction, which has proven useless so far.

The voices get louder and more clear as I approach them.

"Hello?" I call into the maze, hoping the unknown voices will hear me.

"Who is that?" One of them responds.

"It's Corl!" I yell.

"Corl! It's Elijah and Sub!" Elijah clarifies.

"I'm coming!" I yell to them.

"Hurry! We don't have much time!" Sub yells back.

I rush towards the sound of their voices, glancing at the watch. 1. Minute. Remaining. I start to get lost and lose their voices as I seem to take a wrong turn. Their voices grow distant.

Sub POV

The sound of his footsteps get quieter.

"Is he still there?" I ask Elijah.

"I dunno..," He replies.

"Corl?" I question.

"Sub, there's not much we can do.. there's only 40 seconds left!" He reminds me.

"But we have to do something! He's our friend!" I say, trying to deny his response.

"I know, but we can't. We have to keep going before we forget the rest of the directions," He says.

He's right. We have to keep going.

"Ok..," I finally say, excepting what we have to do.

"I think the last ones are left, left, right," He says as we begin walking.

I glance at the watch. 20 seconds.

"Elijah, we should probably run if we want to escape in time!" I yell to him.

We begin running as tension builds up. If we aren't able to escape, I don't know what I'm going to do with myself. By then, we'll only have 1 life left and that would be the last of our chances.

I especially don't want to fail considering we're so close. We take the second left as the time ticks down to 10 seconds.

"Right!" I yell.

We run into the right path and down the hallway.

2...

1!

We reach the glowing doorway and run out of it just in time.
