Scarlett, Maddison, Shin, Ren, Matthew, Jason, Sun-woo, Seoknim, Van, Louis, Risa and Claire successfully passed the first trial of the Elixiretta. Among them, few witnessed how Yuki got separated from them, including Shou.

The room was yet again spacious however, divided by the series of arches supported by pillars. This was where the gwynzei were transferred.

In front of those who passed was a man who stood on a balcony, wearing a white long sleeve shirt with two red strips on cuffs, long trousers and black shoes. He was also wearing a red necktie and a red vest with two executive lapel pin on his right.

"Let's seeeeee..." The man moved his head left and right. "At least ten people were trespassers... they are likely to die along with the traitors, mind you." He grinned. His name was Weyer.

"Fuck you! How can we even be sure the King is alive?!"

"Aren't you all just full of brats!"

"Why do we have to follow your orders?! Who are you?!"

The gwynzei were in chaos and Weyer kept quiet, still smiling. However, Shou's mind was full of worries about Yuki's safety.

Two men and a woman entered from the door on top of the staircase.

"Be quiet!" Based on the woman's tone, she was irritated. The distance between them and the crowd was really far, so their facial expression was vague and their clothes were only outlined from the crowd's view. However, it was obvious that the woman was wearing a revealing clothes for her chest and thighs.

The crowd got quiet. However, a man has the courage to speak up. "Who are you! Where is the king?"

Elixiretta attracted many gwynzei because of a king? But king of what? Who is the king?

"You're all so noisy! Can't you see us here!" The woman shouted again, refusing to answer the man's question. However, the man only mocked her.

"Miss, why not go down here and give us a show?" The man snickered which made some, laughed. The woman was about to argue again when the man beside her took a step down, signalling the woman to stop.

"It's best for you not to get her angry, you might not come here out alive."

The conversation seemed like, it will not expose any useful information. So Shou checked on Yuki. But what was she doing?

"Are you underestimating me?!" Yuki obviously stood alone. She should be standing near her victim!

"I'm just telling the truth." Yuki looked around and approached a man. Was she not finished yet? She had to finish it now, so that the smell would have time to be in effect!

"Damn--" She stood behind the man and was in amidst of tearing off the plastic. "Stop! If you can't follow us then back out-- right now!" However, her movements stopped! What was she doing?! She must do it faster while she has time!

"Listen-- a quick inspection will be held to check-- if any of you are angels!"

But things went so fast. This was bad for Yuki! She was still not moving! Why was she staring above?

"Do it, Vernaill and Lucas." The man who only spoke once, has been left behind the staircase. They have already started!

"Do you sense anyone?" The woman named Vernaill asked. The surroundings started to be noisy like the crowd was caught by surprise!

"No-- Yeah here!" The man who disappeared must be called Lucas. Yuki should start to move!

Then, a woman passed by Shou then tapped the chest of Shou's victim. The victim was already marked!

'Yuki is in danger!', Shou thought as he was about to call her name.

"You. And you."

However, right after Yuki was marked, she disappeared from his sight.

Shou wasn't able to do anything and felt guilty as the scene when he let go of her hand, flashed into his mind. He wanted to save her. However, so far, they were always getting teleported. He will not be able to find her if he acted rashly. And there was no method to clearly identify a gwynzei's nation so they will likely interrogate her until the suspicion can be cleared. Settling that into his mind, he was able to calm down but still, worried. Silently, he hoped for Yuki staying alive.

"GAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

The room became noisier, not because of whispers and protests, but because of shrieks and screams in pain. One man, though a bit far from Shou, can be seen that both of his arms were cut off. The unharmed gwynzei backed off from the wounded. His arms dropped on the floor. One arm noticeably tilted, making the back of his hand lay on the floor while the blood was dripping, splurting and staining his clothes. Even among those unharmed, were shocked and terrified. Some were tainted with their blood, the crowd immediately run away from the injured gwynzei.

Shou was also tainted but with the crowd blocking him when they were running, it was enough time for the blood to not splurt anymore but the blood was still flowing out from their injured body part. Thus, making his clothes a bit stained. There were thirteen victims.

There were some with missing legs and thighs which made them lay on the floor. While those with missing arms, were trembling when witnessing their own arms gushing out blood.

The victims were pleading to be save while crying in pain. They will die pretty soon.

"King! Kiiiiing! KING! Y'all obssessed with the king but are you even strong enough to meet him?" Weyer jeered and chuckled. The crowd went to the back and the people who didn't even flinched, were all demon hunters.

Scarlett and Maddison were together and were the nearest from the balcony. Ren was behind Shin, who was a little farther from Scarlett.

Shou was standing near one of the series of pillars while Risa and Claire were far beside him. Van was leaning on one of the pillars behind Risa, while Louis was standing not too far from Van.

Matthew and Jason were far behind from Shou but not enough to join the crowd at the far back of the room. It was the same for Sunwoo and Seoknim however, they were separated from each other.

No one was safe from the blood among them. They were intently staring at Weyer, not speaking anything because no one witnessed what made the others wounded, what was his weapon. It was too fast and that was enough to say that, the demon in front of them was dangerous.

However, the natural smiles of Shin and Louis didn't fade away. While Seoknim has his eyebrows forcefully creased.

Then, the room got quiet. The victims were weakening due to blood loss. Some already died but most were still alive, mumbling something.

"That's what we need! An ARMY!" Weyer extended both of his hands. "And we don't want weaklings." His grin turned into a smirk and put his hands down.

"Soooo a test has been made! Find your contractors and survive the game of this academy we've built! Whereas hundreeeeds of humans are! And yes, it can also be an another demon. If you already have, then your job is to survive within this academy and follow the rules." He explained as if it was a common sense.

"You mean I have to wear that lame uniform and act like a hardass student with those babies who only know how to crawl and cry?!" A man asked as if he found the situation unbelievable.

"Even if I told you to kneel and lick my shoes clean, you will have to obey. If you are against this, then you are freeee to die in my hands right now! Do you really think after knowing this, we would let you go unscatched and alive?" Weyer mocked. Then, the man was shut silent.

In the middle of the intense atmosphere, a petite figure was appearing on the pools of blood. And Shou cannot be mistaken. It was Yuki!

Yuki was still alive!

"My, my, my... a latecomer has arrived!" Yuki looked around and was confused of the scattered people. Then, she noticed the dead bodies lying around before looking ahead.

The walls seemed to become transparent, showing the pairs of students dragging their luggage to the dormitory as the guards were assisting them. "Welcome to Elixiretta, everyone!" Weyer opened his arms again with a grin on his face.

"As long as you are stepping in this land, a blood between the contractors must be offered with their thumb sticking on one another, will make the contract official. Find your partners and join us!"

The pillars, the walls and the platform above disappeared, along with Weyer. They found themselves seemingly inside a dormitory.

They were stepping on a rectangular hall with a main color design of deep red and, few pairs of pillar surrounding it. Shou was inbetween of the sets of staircase nearest from the door behind him. The door must be the entrance.

However, in front of him were another three sets of staircase leading to the second floor. Two sets of staircase were surrounding a balcony. While the other one was noticeable under the middle of the balcony. However, there was another set of staircase above it.

The hall was directing to two entrance doors. What it is for was unknown however, since all doors have transparent glass panes on it, it gave a hint of the space on the other side. It was another empty hall while the room on his left, was full of furnitures. Both weren't the place for bedrooms so it must be located at the second floor and above.

However, the roof was completely rows and columns of glass panes, and few columns of light bulb. Was there another floor like this, beyond it? Or was the third floor a rooftop?

But Shou found something strange. Among those around him, all were males! Yuki disappeared from his sight again! Thinking that, he has a sudden urge to get out of this building and find her.
