I am soooooooo sorry I haven't updated!! I hope you enjoy this chapter! And thanks a million for the 3k+ reads!
~Lee's POV~
As we made our way towards the destination I marked on the map, a strange feeling in my gut kept getting deeper.
After around 5 minutes of running, we finally reached the location. We hopped down from the tree we were on as I pulled behind leaves of a bush.
"There," I pointed as the familiar (f/c) ooze was still lying in the same exact spot as I had found it.
"What is that?" Sakura asked herself, taking a step closer to the liquid.
But before she could take another step further, the substance began to dissipate. I backed up, letting the bushes and bramble to hide the ooze.
"Wh-What was that?" Hinata questioned, now twiddling with her fingers with anxiety.
"I don't know! But I don't like it!" Naruto replied with a growl. "As soon as I find that jerk I'm gonna punch him so hard that his teeth rattle!" He shouted.
Soon, he hopped up into the nearest tree. "If your coming, follow me! I'm heading towards those footprints!"
He then took of sprinting, tree to tree. Us three followed him close behind. "Naruto! Slow down! You're gonna get us caught!" Sakura yelled, trying to keep up.
"Well, if we move fast enough, then they won't catch us!" He retorted, still not turning around.
"Agreed," I added, nodding my head. "I believe it is better if we pursuit with speed,"
They all nodded and kept moving forward. I could literally feel the suspense and determination filling the atmosphere.
~Your POV~
I screamed.
Unimaginable pain coursed through my veins. A light surrounded my body and filled the room, blinding me.
As the pain started to fade, the light went with it. But as it fully left, I felt my body go numb. My scars opening up and red liquid flowing down my arms and legs.
I fell to the ground, lying on my side. The wretched taste of iron aligned my mouth as it dripped from the corners of my lips.
I let out a small cough and wheeze. It was faint, but I heard the creak of a door opening, eyes droopy, I mustered up all of my will power not to black out.
"Still alive, hm?" A hiss questioned, flashing a grin. "And yet I still don't have what's rightfully mine..! I think there's a problem here... Do you know what it it?" He teased.
"It's.... not.... yours..." I growled, throat burning from the use of my vocal cords.
"Oh? Is that right?" Smile still not leaving his pale face, he walked over to me. "Incorrect. Try again!" He shouted, extending his leg and kicking me into the wall.
As my back came into contact with the solid piece of concrete, I felt my spine snap; but when I hit the floor with a thud, I heard a crack coming from my left arm.
"It seems you've broken a few bones..! I'll leave you here to rest," he smirked, turning away and exiting the door.
"And you're not leaving until I have that Dōbutsu,"
Those were his final words as he slammed the door behind him. I heard the click of the metal lock as I curled up into a ball.
Tears streamed down my face as both hopelessness and anger filled my thoughts. "I won't... let you have... it..." I muttered, eyesight dimming.
Without a last thought, I gave in to my drowsiness, and blacked out, letting the pain rest into my skin...
~Lee's POV~
We had finally reached the place where Naruto had marked down footprints into his piece of the map.
"Let's follow them," Sakura instructed as she started to walk side by the imprints in the ground.
Hinata, Naruto and I followed behind her, keeping a lookout for any other odd phenomenons.
After about 5 minutes of following the tracks, we came upon what looked to be an abandoned building.
Cracked and shattered windows, purple paint peeling off the wood, roof collapsing. We cautiously walked up to the front door.
As Sakura turned the doorknob, the whole door itself fell off of it's hinges. We all coughed as dusk flew in our faces as the wooden slab hit the floor.
"Hello?! Anybody home?!" Naruto shouted, a tint of fear aligning his voice as he stepped inside.
We all entered the empty room. There were lit candles around the staircase and bookshelves, signing that someone has recently been here.
We all searched the room for any trap doors or anything of that sort. Hinata used her Byakugan to scan the room, but once again, some sort of Sealing Jutsu was blocking it out.
She retracted it and her eyes went back to their normal silver, lavender color. We continued to search the room.
Naruto was recklessly throwing books off of the shelves, looking for a hidden entrance trigger. Until he finally pulled one red book and a Trap Door appeared right beside him.
"Ghosts?!" He yelled, eyes widening as he ran around the room frantically.
"No, stupid! It's a Trap Door leading to some sort of basement! Come on! Quit being such an idiot..." Sakura sighed as she started down the staircase that lead into absolute darkness.
Everyone followed close behind, afraid of losing sight of the pinkette. As we were walking, each step we took was followed by a 'click click click'.
When we finally reached the bottom, it was yet another empty room. The only difference was, is that on the other side of the room, was an iron door.
Naruto stepped up to it, seeming as if he were trying to glare holes straight through the locked metal slab.
He lifted up his foot and centered Chakra into the middle of his heel, kicking the door with all of his strength. The door soon toppled over with a bang, steam emitting from the surface.
There was along silence, no one taking another step. Deciding to break the quiet and walked into the musty room.
Holding in a cough, my eyes widen at the scene in front of me. (Y/n) is lying on the floor, chained and slathered in blood.
I run up to her and place her head in my lap as I kneel down. She slowly opened her eyes. "Lee...? G...Go.... he's.... co...coming..." she muttered, barely getting the words out.
I shook my head. "No. We have to get you back to Konoha as quickly as we can!" I implied, picking her up and facing towards the others.
"Sakura, Hinata, can you break these chains?" I asked, gesturing to the rusted pieces of metal around her ankles and wrists.
They both nodded. Sakura held the four chains together and Hinata used her Gentle Fist to snap them in half.
"Alright, let's get her out of here..!" Sakura whispered, rushing us out of the room, fear of us being watched.
Once we exited the building, we stopped to look around and see if there was any sign of anyone spying on us.
"That was too easy!" Naruto grinned.
"That's exactly my point: that was way to easy!" Sakura replied, keeping a sharp eye out.
"My, my. Don't we have a smart bunch?" A voice called from an unknown direction.
We looked up at the top of the building's roof. There, stood a pale man with short, black hair and icy blue eyes.
"You did this to her! You hurt (Y/n) didn't you?!" Naruto shouted, pointing at the figure.
"You've already figured it out? You four must be some of Konoha's top Genin!" He gasped with sarcasm.
"What's it to you?!" Naruto growled, now standing in front of everyone.
"I was just hoping that maybe you'd be a challenge for me. Because I have a feeling that you won't give up the girl by negotiation," he grinned, licking his lips.
"You got that right!!" The blonde turned away from Akuma and faced us. "Sakura! You stay here and help me hold him off! Bushy Brow, Hinata! Get (Y/n) back to the Village!" He instructed, seemingly taking things seriously.
"Right!" We all agreed.
Sakura stood side by side with Naruto and turned towards Akuma. Hinata and I ran as fast as our legs would take us in the other direction, (Y/n) still unconscious and barely breathing.
~Naruto's POV~
Sakura and I stood face to face with the brother of Orochimaru. I gritted my teeth as Sakura glared.
He just gave off a little smirk and readied himself for battle, Sakura and I did the same.
There's no way that I'm going to let this guy win! He's going down! And when I'm through with him, he'll be lucky to get out with his life!
Thanks so much for reading! I'll update shortly!
