A time in my life passed
Where all I saw was black
Darkness, oh so vast.
Negativity, a never-ending track.

With every opportunity that came,
My mind was always to blame.
For I saw the bad in everything.
Worst case scenarios were king.

But these thoughts always flopped.
So I realized I was wrong all along. Negativity's reign was stopped
And my new life started strong.

Those thoughts faded away.
Becoming a memory that would stay.
I would never go back to those ways.
Now, I'm a realist til my hair turns gray.
