Chapter Three: Peaceful

Virgil and Roman snuggled on the couch, enjoying the warmth of their partner. The two were completely enveloped in the movie, oblivious when two traits walked into the room.

"Hello?" One of them waved their hands in his face, making Virgil jump. "Earth to Virgil!" "What do you want?" Virgil asked, annoyance laced in his voice. "We wanted to say 'hi!' God, is it too much to ask, to say 'hi' to your best friend?" The other teased.

Virgil sighed, "Hi Missy, hi Pranks." "Hi, Virgil." The two said in unison. Pranks shot a glare at Roman. "G'day, royal pain in the--" Missy slapped a hand over his mouth. "Pranks!" He scolded, glaring at the boy.

Roman chuckled silently. "Greetings to you two as well." He said, looking back at the screen. "Well, we came out here for Pat. You two know where he is?" Pranks asked. "Yeah, he's in his room. I think he said he was reading something..." Virgil said.

"Well, thanks! See ya later!" Missy said, dragging Pranks behind him and giving a small wave. Virgil waved back and nuzzled back into Roman's chest.

"I love you, princess." Roman muttered, sighing contently. "I love you too, Ro..." Virgil said, pecking his boyfriend on the cheek. Roman sighed once more and pulled Virgil in for a soft kiss.

Their movements were slow, as if they had an eternity. It wasn't rushed, and they were both cautious with one another, as if they were as fragile as glass, like they'd break if they were too rough. These were the kisses Virgil enjoyed the most.

He knew that Roman was patient, accepting, and full of love. Love just for him. He knew that he could trust him with his life, not exactly since Virgil still wouldn't let his guard down completely, but at least something like that.

Roman broke apart, breathing heavy and eyes soft, gazing down at Virgil. He softly pecked him on the lips once more. Virgil smiled lightly and gazed back up at him. He nuzzled back into Roman's chest as he softly twirled Virgil's hair. This was the type of time that he enjoyed the most, that he wished happened more often. No speaking, just love.

Patton sat alone in his room. Pranks and Missy had long gone, and he sat there. Stiff as stone. Alone. Quiet. And still.

He sighed softly to himself. He didn't know what was bothering him. Maybe it was the fact that Virgil and Roman had been completely close, and Logan and him had been slowly drifting apart.

No, it wasn't that. Logan had been piled with work, and had refused help Patton offered him. Patton tried thinking, thinking about what could be troubling him. He wasn't the best at figuring out what was troubling himself, but he could read the others like a book.

He pondered for awhile, mind racing back and forth between ideas, his head torn on settling what was wrong.

     And then it hit him.

It hit him like a ton of bricks. He didn't expect something like this to have so much affect on him.

     He was jealous of Virgil.

Okay, maybe jealous wasn't the right word. It had to be something else, like protective, or something along those lines. He didn't know. Virgil is happy with Roman, so why is Patton feeling like this?

Patton finally came to a conclusion. He was skeptical. He was skeptical about their relationship. He knew that every perfect relationship was bound to have fights, but Virgil and Roman, they hardly fought.

And while that wasn't a bad thing, he just didn't want Virgil's heart getting broken. Not again. Virgil was cautious about his relationships, sure, but Patton knew that he was just as vulnerable.

No. He's stronger than that. If something happens to my dark strange son, I'll be there or be square, and I am not a square. Patton sighed as there was a soft knock at the door.

"Patton? May I come in?" He recognized the voice immediately, it was Logan. "I've finished my work, I was thinking we could spend some time together."

Patton grinned gleefully and opened the door that had been locked. "Hi." He said, throwing his arms around his boyfriend. "Hope you didn't over work yourself too hard, Lo." Logan chuckled and softly pressed a kiss to Patton's cheek.

"Not this time." He said, a small smile forming on his lips. "Oh good! What were you hoping we could do?" Patton asked, still as cheery and giddy as ever. Logan looked down at his boyfriend,"I honestly don't mind as long as it's time spent with you."

Patton felt heat rise in his cheeks. His smile dropped to a completely curious look. Logan wasn't usually flirty, whether it be even the slightest pick up line. Patton smiled once more and pressed his lips to his, earning an immediate reaction from the booksmart trait.

Once the two pulled apart, Logan smiled lightly once more. "We could...do this?" Patton asked more than said, a nervous smile plaguing his lips. "I don't mind." Logan said. "I don't mind at all."
